i use 1 arm push ups for core training if you place your hands at the level of your head then there is less strain on your arms and then you can do a lot of core heavy one arm push ups with straight cores and as little leg spret as possible
Lol thanks ive been doing pushups for a while and sucked at one arms I guess i was putting my arm in the wrong place because now If i Didnt keep falling when I have done 1 rep (ned to improve balance) i feel i could do abt 3-4 reps Ill try to get better and I hope I can do 10 soon
Not really worth it IMO. More of a cool party trick. Risk of injury is high due to the instability and how hard the movement is to perform with correct form. And you can get just as good or even better gains while spending half the time, by just do exercises on both hands with added weight. I sometimes do it on one hand like you showed, but with the other hand or just a few fingers and straight arm touching a bench. This way you basically have no way of helping the working arm, but you still have "all" of the same stability as when you use both arms and the placement of the working arm is also the same as when doing regular pushup. But good luck to those you has this desire.
Putting your hand in the middle to have better balance and slowly but surely bringing it to the side to develop stability will be a good way to avoid injury. Also i reckon developing that stability might be *very* good. With a good practice regimen and good technique you might be able to develop insane torso and core stability, lifting yourself off axis sounds dangerous for beginners but over the months it sounds like a great way to push the boundaries of your stability.
@@sharanoth Everything you say sounds really nice and dandy. But its Utopia to believe that to be the reality for the majority trying out this movement. In the perfect world everything is possible. But fact is that MOST people just dont have the time and patience to build up slowly to do this move safely. So this is what im saying in my first post. Im not talking about that one dude that always trains the correct way and warm up properly. Im talking about how the majority does things and to the MAJORITY of people, this exercise is simply not worth the Risk/reward. But im simply stating my opinion from +28 years of training and seeing other people training ofc. People will do whatever they will do.
@@rex432m.5 Again not true when taking the risk of injury into account. Because its such a tough movement, most wont be able to do it correct and when your form is not correct, then risk of injury goes up. Also your idea of it being great for core is flawed. You try it out and then go do dragon flags (static movement) or dragon flies and then compare the two. Even toes to bar is MUCH harder then the stabilization you do on a one arm pushup. I can do all of the above movements, as i have them recorded on my channel. So im not just saying this to sound like a know all. Secondly, if an exercise like one arm pushup take a HUGE amount of stabilization to pull off, then this takes away from your force output on the main driver which is chest and triceps. This means you wont grow these muscles optimally compared to other exercises where you dont have to spend energy on stabilization and can put ALL of the force towards the muscle you are really trying to target. So the optimal will always be something like a Bench press for chest and triceps and then toes to bar or dragon flies for the core. In no real world will it be optimal to workout your core, chest, triceps, biceps, back, glutes, rocking your ears, making rolls with your eyes and tongue and all kinds of silly things in ONE movement and expect everything to grow optimally. Thats a flawed mindset right there.
Workout program:
1. 3x Max
2. 3x 10
3. 2x 12
4. 3x 5
5. 2x 5
6. 4x Max
Rest 2-3 minutes. Do it 3 times a week!

I learnt something new today. Gonna try it out. You just gained a subscriber. Big love from Nigeria.
The way you showed the wrong moves looks funny and ridiculous until I realized I was making the same mistakes 😅

Just started doing push ups, going to try this
Dont its way too advance
Yeah even I struggled and ive been doin pushups for months its practice really cause I couldnt do any until I got the technique right
Don't try something easier. This skill requires intermediate strength but you could do cheat oapu which is far easier than the strict version
Ваші приклади як робити неправильно, то завжди 😆
👍vid. Thanks.
Bruh, you are ridiculously strong!
great that show how to do a good one arm push up and not some half one arm push
Goku😮
You missed Step 8
You have to increase gravity by 100 times
Esto es más una capacidad física o conviene meterlo al entrenamiento
Handstand pushups are way harder than one arm pushups, definitely have never come close to doing one yet I can do sets of oap's
Харош, Виталий
Muito bom
Right know I'm watching the same episode 50 DBZ
First view
Gracias por este ejercicio bro!
Pero 4:38 acaso Goku las hace mal?
Xd
Se podría decir que si
Dicas bem legais gostei ganho um fã do Brasil 🇧🇷
