I tried to master one arm pushups in 60 days. In this video I share my one arm pushup training exercises and the calisthenic body weight exercises I used. Hopefully this can be a useful how to for y'all to see how to train one arm push ups.
Have a great week guys! Cheers.

Well done man but you need to progress from this every time you get into good shape you seem to let it slip and lose all your progress
“I continued my slow and steady health and physical fitness journey in a smart and non-gimmicky way that promotes full body fitness over the course of several months or even years” doesn’t get quite as many clicks.
@@ZachRiley is that a quote from him? I suppose I don't really agree with that as his muscle memory always is able to get him back into shape a bit faster each time he loses shape but I'm no scientist btw! Then again we all have our most effective methods of getting into the shape that were happy with maybe he's still looking for his!
@@itzcolm8737 I think he was just saying how it wouldn't work for these various titles
He would have no career if he did that
I learned the one arm push up in just 15 minutes. Check the video out ua-cam.com/video/SZ4MXJaB5ik/v-deo.html
When you get stuck at 5. That's your breathing letting you down!
You ran out of air, panted to get it back, and lost your core control
Not only that, I had the feeling that he was strugling to do the final rep not only because of air, but because he almost had no strength left, maybe focusing more on triceps exercises would help him as well
5 reps is not mastery of anything, 100 should be considered mastery
1000 subs with no content I’d like to see you attempt 100 1 arm pushups
1000 subs with no content 5 reps is mastery with these types of exercises, 10 seconds of a straddle planche is considered mastery

Meanwhile here I am trying to master two arm push-ups like a sucker
@@ethansprague2005 not sure thats a very good idea, maybe every other day.
Here's what I did, for about a month I would do as many pushups as I could, rest for a few minutes, and then do 2 more sets of 10 less than my max. So I started out doing 20 pushups and then 2 more sets of ten. When I got to being able to do around 50 pushups, I started doing 20 less on the second and thirds set, so I would do 50 pushups and then two sets of 30. I was making progress pretty quickly and gained some pretty nice definition in my chest and biceps.
Push ups won't help you achieve one arm. Do archer push ups.
@@neemmol7734 if he struggles with normal push-ups, what makes you think he can do Archer pushups
do slowly controlled negatives over and over until you come down faster than 1.5 seconds and then stop do it every other 2 days bro and when you reach 50 negatives that average 2.5 seconds on the descent without spending most of that time at the top but at the bottom you will get there man
Thanks a lot for all you do! Goal guys, I am in love with your determination and discipline. This channel is growing fast and you deserve 100%. I cant wait to see what you are going to bring to the future!

Well done man, you have such a great channel!! Keep it up brother
Well done on the five 1 arm push ups man👊🏻
One tip if I may:
Try squeezing your butt and abs at the end when you feel you cannot get up and are incline to touch the deck with your other hand. It gives you a magical boost and you will be able to complete the rep.
However it is much better to keep 2-3 Reps in the tank instead of going all out. You would be able to do more quality sets like this.
I used this method (called GTG) and increased my 1 arm push up from 4 to 15 in lockdown👍🏻

hmm. I like this challenge. I remember being super fit in the summer last year and easily doing one-armed pushups without realizing that I was able to do them. I suppose I was much much lighter and super active. I really should get back on track to do them again. Thanks for the motivation.
Loved the editing on this video.
Yep
Thanks! I will pass that on to Cam who does the final edit on all of these videos.
That's some serious commitment there lad. Well done!

Awesome ! Liked and subscribed
An impossible feat i thought i couldn’t do 2 years ago.
Now i look at myself and am doing it with my routine.
This video is great it helped me remember of my past days.
that moment on the last set of five with the left arm, where he almost gave up, but changed his mind is so rad
Your channel is always a inspiration 👊
1:07 that's how i do regular pushups 😂
Knee pushups ftw💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I never trained for the one arm pushup but I found I was able to do 2 one day out of nowhere. The reason was because I was doing bench presses, 30 diamond pushups, and clapping pushups. I can do 7 in a row now on each arm.
This channel is very underrated. Good job on this, I could never.
You buckle in the abs and lower back because doing so makes the exercise easier. It's not because your core is weak.
If his core was strong enough he wouldn't need to make it easier wouldn't he
Well, both.
You don't shoot snook with a rope...
Good needed video to remind me of doing multiple reps of one arm pushups. 🙏 I did my first ever single arm push-up (both sides) about a month ago (no training) when I was messing around. Have not tried since, but plan to work on efficiency as like your vid mentioned- there are so many other benefits of it, too.
Good luck! Hope it goes well!
The fact that you had more muscle mass on your "weak" arm is because your precision is better with your "strong" arm, subconsciously making you use your other arm for hard work while keeping your "strong" hand free to do whatever you need to do (like signing a paper, unlocking the door while carrying groceries in the other hand etc). That's why we usually have one stronger and one more precise arm.
Great videos, I always go back and watch them every couple of months! Keep it up!
Upcoming challenge : One Arm Push Up with feet close together
Lmao
Upcoming challenge: One arm Push Up while doing a hand stand with feet together*
A one-arm push up with your feet together is basically a one-armed diamond push up. That's an elite fucking club.
The decrease in leverage from slight spread to no-spread is huuuuuge. I've no EMG or napkin physics to prove this but I'm guessing like 35% more strength in the triceps/chest and like 70%+ more in a ton of stabilizing muscles/tissue.
Lol you mean an *actual* One Arm Push Up?
You never stop inspiring us!
great work mate 💪💪💪
Thank you man for sharing thid , you inspire me so much !
Great work man. Love this channel.
Good job broski👏👏
Nice job dude!
Honestly surprised he did it in such a small period of time
I thought this would need 5,6 months to master
Yeah it’s not that hard
North American UA-camr true but for most people around his weight it shouldn’t take 5,6 months as long as they’re training consistently
• FBI • not to mention he already has previous strength training experience
Massman121 true that would help a good bit
He was already pretty fit those assisted one arm pushups aren’t easy
My kitchen floor is too dirty. Guess I'll have to skip that challenge
Haha, be tough, getting hands dirty is amazing.
That's a great excuse!
Congratulations on getting them! I am sure if you do another dexa scan that you'll be a lot more balanced
Amazing work brother.
However, as a dude doing perfect oapu for 5 years and 3 months now (yeah I remember the day when I first got it) with both arms, I think there is something I can teach your about the form.
The perfect form should be like this...
Pressing hand beneath pressing pec.
Feet no more than shoulder width apart.
Torso parallel to floor.
Legs straight, body locked straight and no part is sagging.
Chest touches ground and elbows lock straight in the end.
welcome to B. C. you're going to love it here.
Make 'i tried to take over the world in 6 month' please
This video basks great editing! 1 arm handstand pushups next?
Love your stuff lads.
What the heck I had the same idea a few weeks ago but I never got around to it. Cool video!
How's the chess going? Great video by the way
If your around Vancouver you should do a vid on training to do the the grouse grind in under 40 mins
Not bad!
I should start doing assisted arm push-ups.. I am doing archer push-ups , though..
honestly really wish you wouldve done like a bench press before and after, to show if it makes a quantifiable difference in strength or more accurately how much of a difference it makes
What about a three arm pushup
Growing another arm will be challenging
Man it feels so good when u can do all these exercises
If you are reading this, you are extremely special and I hope you have an amazing day!
Thank you!
Kinda gay but thx
I read this!
@ Nice work young Man !...perhaps there can be a UA-cam one arm push up challenge to emulate...?
Come back when you are able to do a 3 arm push up.
Lend me your hand and I'll be sure to do it
Awesome that you completed it. Alarming that you have a bench in your living room D:
another awesome video
You should do long a ten week series and do a natural body building show
I don't think I could do the full body wax.
I haven't started watching yet, but 60 days seems like a crazy long amount of time to learn one thing. Especially because you've done so many of these videos, you should be able to do push-ups, in general, fairly well. I feel like you would actually be pushing yourself if you set a shorter time frame. 14 days sounds good. Hard, but obtainable.
I got asked if I could do this a few days ago and I couldn't. My stubborn competitive personality couldn't handle it so this is my next goal. Also starting a 100 push up challenge.
Awesome job. If you really want to take it a step further, train with a weighted vest. Do your regular push ups with the weighted vest, then try doing your one arm push ups again.
Hoping to get a weighted vest down the road.
This man has motivation of a god
this makes me realise how easy it is to progress as an 18 year old and i better not take it for granted
Train for a one arm pull up next!
I had the same idea, but you had a higher level at beginning. After 3 months of training, I achieved to reach your starting level lol
Do learning front lever next
Nice bro I try this challenge for me
You should try the one-arm pullup next!
Love ur vids bro
I was able to master one arm push up without realizing. I did a lot of pull up and push up variations(except one arm push) and then one day I tried to do one arm push up and got shock that I could do it.
Hi
How many two handed push-ups cud u do with 2 hands in one set before doing this chllng???
Ryhhik
hey love the vid! i had a question: it says 60 days but surely you must have taken rest days, was it one day on and one day off or did you train every day of the 60, ot 2 days off in between etc? im going to film a video of my progress on these too but dont want to get injured training everyday.
I have been doing 200 pushups per day since New Year and have seen no significant improvement in my one arm pushup. Is the trick to just isolate exercises specific to one arm? (i.e. the archer pushups)
By doing that you are training stamina not strength, the one-armed pushup is about strength. So it would be better to do less reps of higher intensity, for instance by doing diamond pushups and archers pushups.
try doing 1arm pushup progressions: Archer pushups -> Elevated archer pushups -> Decline archer pushups -> 1arm negatives -> 1arm pushups.
first of all you shouldn’t just be doing pushups, balance it out with pull ups for ur biceps and back
Anybody knows the music at @04:54 ?
How many rest days did you take per week?
respect bro👍
Good job
Next level content 👌
I´ve been doing 300 pushups a day for 6 months now (different types), and I am still not able to do more than two one-arm pushups in a row
Watch the Bioneer's video on the Serape effect. The exercises he mentions in that video should help build the power and stability needed for one arm pushups.
@@braddaily8688 I'll give it a try, thanks
SAID principle.
Mario Demroth Be careful with doing 300 a day you might overwork your triceps
@@KudoOne Actually not, it got to a point where I don't even feel pain after finishing each set of 100. I actually don't feel pain throughout the day at all, with time your triceps start getting accustomed to that load you constantly put on them
Love the video mate! I've also made a couple to document my process of gaining weight & muscle (though my filmography is not quite at your level yet). Keep them coming! 😁
do a front planche challenge please!!
The Naked Warrior - Pavel Tsatsouline
You should try doing a handstand push up! They're stupid hard!
It probably would have been smarter to do archer pushups. It helps alot
You are very impressive human being, sir.
Brendan, we update on your muscle up progress.
Wonder how much longer it would have taken you to get to 10 pushups per arm?
Pigmie is awesome!!
Can you try to overhead press your own bodyweight?
these definitely help with my backpains.
I REALLY suck at regular push ups (I can only do 25) but I can do 3 1 arm push ups each arm, which surprised me considering I have friends who can do 30+ regular push ups but can’t do any 1 arm push ups
What did you do for the rest of your body during the challenge?
Did you do supplementary workouts for your legs and back or nah?
On off days there were body weight squats and lunges. I'm also working on a skipping challenge that works the lower body a bunch!
@@GoalGuys Hmmm, sounds good. But no direct back training then.
Anyway, keep up the good work! Your videos are pretty darn good =)

gg man i'm proud of you
How did you exercises.. exampel, Monday =pushup tuseday = rest or did you go for pushups two days in a row. and then rest.
Recovery days were every second day, and I talk a bit about what I was doing at 2:30
Bruce Lee: *hold my 3 fingers*
2*
kiszko 3 Nah, it’s a two finger push-up so you’d hold the other 3. Unless you’re referring to the thumb as not being a finger.
Before you start watching , I recommend doing a 1 handed pushed
I can do it but it is very hard
