because he knows is expensive and still underpowered for ps2 emulation and less accurate vs windows for the rest of the retro consoles. And probably the Raspberry guys paid him for the good word.
@@eastcoastloveaffair 100% how I feel in telling people I collect retro games, and they go "Oh, like old Pokemon games? Warioland? Mario 64? The classics!" "No, like ports of Call of Duty for DS, or a Japanese 3D space sim for the original GameBoy." "Huh?"
My Micro Center is 10 minutes away. I'm an IT pro. It's amazing having it nearby. But Amazon same day delivery is quickly becoming a competitor. I used to do it in San diego, fry's was my go-to. If I was still out there, I'm sure I'd be making that trip up to Tustin on a regular basis. But I traded that sunshine in for the snow of michigan. I would much rather drive an hour to Micro Center then have to shovel off what's on my car right now

For anyone thinking this is good I would recommend a used Chromebox you can get one for around 45 bucks with an i7 4600 or 5500u and a decent portable monitor for another 50 or just use one you have. Need something on the go, you can get a used laptop with a battery and 8th gen i5 for less than 200 dollars, if you wait for a auction you can sometimes get a Ryzen based laptop with a 4500u which has much better integrated graphics.
I understand what you say, but most people like me don’t wan’t to have a hassle trying to find those elements so they prefer to have something already prepared and matching the brand and colors.
i used to live 5 minutes from Frys and would go there just for funzies. Now MicroCenter is like 20 minutes away and I dont feel like heading down multiple freeways to get there unless I need to. 😞
I wanna get a pi 5 but I really REALLY wanna get a mechanical keyboard case to make it look like a retro pc. I have no idea where to get one of those...
yes this looks awesome.. as a;ways there are easier / cheaper ways to do this.... I picked up a mac mini and 27" hp monitor on fb for $75 ... installed Linux and play everything up to the Sega Saturn. N64 with ease
The Firestick always comes with a little extension, so you do not need to put the stick in directly, on most normal TV`s you would use this extension too, cause the stick is kind of bulky 🤗
Nice video. I’ve been looking for X-Wing for a long time now & you mentioned the Batocera build with this included. Where can I find this? Keep up the good work m!
I like the keyboard. But its still going to be a while before I can swap out my old I7 ivybridge and its GT650m screenless laptop for a pie for my Arcade machine i think. Oh wait, Hyperspin and Teknoparrot is not a thing on the pie is it?
Too bad Pi stuff is kind of expensive local to me. hehe let's see how much my country "Approved Reseller network" gouges the buyers compared to your side: Rpi monitor = 144.80 usd pi500/mouse/type c brick bundle = 155.96 usd Pi4 1gb board only = 44.22 usd (Still alright) pi USB 3.0 hub = 15.63 usd (Alright as well, not too bad) Other "non" approved resellers aren't any better either.

It was nice meeting you at Micro Center bro!
“It’s magical to me. Leave me the hell alone, alright?” 👍🏻

@ I’m just relating. I have hobbies that don’t make sense to outside observers but to me it does something for me.

That bundled microsd card will give the fastest read / write speeds of any types out there, because it's made by raspberry pi.
Dude! I’m going to Micro Center today! What are the odds
You really need two computers these days but for $200 that's sweet man
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Only one MicroCenter in Michigan, too.
As usual, out done yourself, awesome content as always 10/10 :)
It reminds me a lot of the Amiga 500 and that's just really cool.
using mine with wolfanoz 1tb pi5 image...really nice
I keep bugging MicroCenter to build a store in Arizona as if they'll ever do it lol.

I love Microcenter. There are several in Ohio so it's not that far away. It's really the only place you can get that stuff in person now.
I work near that microcontroller.
They always have affordable raspberry pi stuff.
It only has a quad core and a fairly weak gpu, it's a hard pass for the inflated price

This monitor will be great for tate-mode games if someone makes a vertical stand for it.
I want this monitor. If they release one in black, then it's a day one purchase
I wish I could stream to UA-cam from this.

Is there enough space to put a Firestick in that monitor?

You gotta get out of California.
When are you going to play on the Sony TV I sent you? 😂
What batocera build are you using on this pi 500? Where did you download it from?
Next up, the Raspberry Pi Laptop.
Which taco place?
It make little sense to me. You can gat a many times more capable used laptop for less.
People are different lol I want to build a decent emulation box but I still want my N64 and PlayStation...

Raspberry Pi "official mouse" lol

Arzopa monitor 90dollar -coupon....mah only for raspberry brand?
Never been here this early.
Not worth it by farrrr
This baby's toy is the Hottest Garbage I ever seen! He says he's going to do content on it I'm like OMG!
I watched this video and realized that my plans for the evening have changed. I will be re-watching it over and over again😘
