I actually just saw a video of a small 50 or so printer farm that switched every plate over to CryoGrip. Other than the holo-plates, just for effect, I will probably never use another plate. I even got one for my A1! Finally!
I bought the revo for the X1C, had a bunch of issues with the nozzle itself. So they sent me another one, used it for 2 prints and went back to the stainless steel one. I will probably buy the stainless steel revo nozzle to see if it's worth to print with it, because brass only gave me issues.
You glossed over the HUGE safety feature of the combination of the Panda PWR with the Panda Touch..... Auto power off when printing finishes. I feel much safer leaving a long print running knowing that as soon as the print is finished, the Panda PWR will automatically cut power to the printer.
I actually had that and all the fuses and other stuff, but had to cut something due to a LONG video! And yes, those are pretty awesome features.... I probably should have left that in. Thanks for mentioning it!
@@anthonybates5030 I 😘 be the Panda Touch... The fact I can take it off it's dock and take it with me is especially nice... I can be sitting on the couch, or be out in the yard and easily check in and control my printer. It has more capability than the phone app, especially when paired with the Panda PWR, such as auto power off when print is finished
Yes, the "touch" part is awesome for the P1S! It's also great to use as John said, but where it will really shine is if I get another P1S or A1. Then I could print to both at the same time. Otherwise, I love being able to see my P1S, A1 and A1 mini all on the same screen.
"only there to not burn your fingers".... Seriously?! The silicone sock is so important to the heat tuning of a nozzle that if its cracked, or not placed correctly.. or not even existing, that your very likely the printer simply errors for thermals.. That answer from tech support is a great way to send newbies running from the hobby when they cant figure out why they cant get a print to work and blame the machine instead of the correct part failing.
Tbf, they were talking about the silicone ring grip not the silicone sock. Technically they are partially correct (although the main use of the ring is as a “grip” not as a heat block) but the whole point revo is the quick swap, permitted by the easy to grip nozzle, for which the silicone ring is necessary.
Yep. I was frustrated about it which is why I said exactly what they said. Note that my picture shows the rip in the sock, and I even told them that. This is just one experience, though, I've had others that were just fine.
These creators keep pushing 'upgrades' but they're just mods. NeedItMakeIt's latest video proved the panda duct upgrade literally doesn't change anything. It's snakeoil.
I am, it's just off to the side and not show when I zoom. Also, I tend to keep it on my desk. Easy to use without pulling up Bambu Studio to check things.
That CryoGrip plate looks interesting.

If the panda door offered a rubber gasket around the edge to get a perfect seal I would buy it in a heartbeat
So far I've not had any issues, and it's really exactly like the original. I can see how the gasket would be great, though. Thanks!

Glad to know it's not just me! I plan to try the steel one soon as well.... one day! Thanks!

That P1S has a leg hanging off the table.. Got me sweating over here, just waiting for it to go over the edge :(
Yea, good review. But I don't have a P1...YET?
Thanks!
Did you find the “touch” useful for your one P1s?

How come your not using the panda touch ??
