I was following the guides in their wiki when I made this video. From what i saw it only showed lubing the top of the X rail. But in one of their short videos it actually shows lubing the bottom too. So don't forget to put a couple drops on the bottom of the x rail!
You should put a couple drops underneath if you can. I just went back through their guide and it seems before it said just the top , but their little short Video shows drops on the top and bottom.
It is different for each part. I would refer to the wiki that is linked in the description to get The recommended time frames for maintenance. I found in the past that it did change a little since I did another video so I didn't want to put the actual times in the video just in case it changed in the future.
After as many hours their finance department wish you to. I’ve been printing for many years and never replaced anything when I’ve been told to. Obvious maintenance is only required, anything else is marketing guff. And who buys canned air ffs.
@paulr4279 I would agree, a electric blower is better! But I would disagree with saying you should not do maintenance. Always replace worn or old parts!
Don't blow directly at the fans without pinning them into place - you just created a generator and it can actually mess things up. Just hold them still with a finger while you spray.
@@shirleyjest8838 Weird. I ordered mine within that time frame. But it does look like they are sold out now for the A1. Thank you for saying this because I realized that somehow The link in the description did not save.

What about lubricating the underside of the x rail?

After how many hours of operation are you supposed to do this maintenance?

@ yo. I never said don’t do it, Jim! Just not when I’m told to! 🤛
@paulr4279 Haha Gotcha!
Another great video , didn't realize that I overlooked a step until after watching this . Thanks
Thank you! What step was it?!
@@TheEdgeofTech I totally dropped the ball on the idler pulley
I would prefer to vacuum first before blowing dust to every nook and crany, thank for you information video.
i need to find another use for the scraper blades. i have a drawer full. great vid, thanks!
You'll have to tell me what you come up with! I'm always looking for ideas.
Printed forever, never cleaned mine. Bought a new one cuz all the parts i needed cost half of the printer. NOW im doing things differently 😅
Glad to hear! It's amazing what happens when a company makes replacement parts affordable. LOL

Great advice! I have always done it like this, but it would be better to hold them.
That makes sense, although I sort of figured it would have some little diodes
Awesome. Thank you for this video.
Glad to help!
This and an external 0.2 nozzle cleaning kit with nozzle heater and i would be happy 😊
@@KrullMaestaren ohh good idea
does it work for the a1 mini? I love the videos you make!
They do have a kit for the A1 Mini! Most of the stuff is the same, but go throught the link in the description and find that kit!
Bambu Lab would have released a new printer by the time yours finnaly got set up :)
@@Marble248 huh? 😂 This was the original A1 I got for my videos when it was released! So it was definitely time for maintenance.
Get yourself an electric air blower. You can buy one for the cost of 2 or 3 cans of air.
Amen! I even have one in the studio. lol I should have used it.
The maintenance kit has been sold out for the 2 months I have had my printer.🙄
