In this episode we meet Donnie and his super cool four door civic. I am excited to provide you all with this build because it is full of passion and dedication. Donnie has always had a soft spot for the sedans. Many years later Donnie ended up picking up a few Hondas and after he Kswap his first 5th gen sedan he was ready for a sixth gen . Well, with the help of his buddies he was able to build this amazing car in less than a year. The car was taken apart and sent out for paint and every single nut replaced. Donnie is not done with the build, he still wants to add minor details. We appreciate the time and dedication towards the Honda game! #automotiveanatomy

@Automotive Anatomy actually ek 4 doors have been popular in the Philippines scene the late 90s we have a ek4 model that came stock with a b16a4 and it's called the Si R I know what type of build this guy is going for i can relate to his build

I've had my 4 dr. EK since '99 and started making mods immediately. Four doors definitely received alot of flack but I made up for that by making simple mods that hatchbacks and coupes weren't doing. People still tell me I have the most unique nd cleanest EK sedan they've seen.
what mods do you mean that the hatches and coupes aren't doing? just curious cause I also have a sedan.
@@NR_Flicks Just things I noticed in the bay area where I used to live and when I went to shows in other cities back in the 90s. Instead of going with the full neon glow underneath the chassis I went a cleaner, more long lasting approach by installing the 'angel hair' neon wiring around the gauge bezel and around the outer part of the AC control deck. Didn't over do it cause I wanted it still to look tastefully done. Amongst other things I personally did to my ride like altering the grille from stock and buying my own mesh was the thing to do back then if you didn't want to pay $xxx.xx for a SI grill at the local Honda dealership. But I made it in such a way that it fit the vehicle's aesthetics.
Modifying the 4 door sedans of a Civic are underrated
The fender to bumper alignment right away tells me this is a quality build🔥
All of his builds are super clean this makes me want a 4door now lmao

I've been playing with Honda's for +20 years, 1st Honda was a 93 Vx. I've had my crx for +11 years and want another EG hatch.
That said, Respect to the 4dr. Once upon a time, I was in a small Honda club in SoCal. The fastest car in our club was the guy in the 94 4d. b16+T3/4. Sleeper.

I do enjoy a nice sedan done really well. Mostly the 1991 integras. He did an excellent job on this build and it shows he enjoys it because he’s got the best smile on his face the entire interview.

Edit: easily 240whp and low 12s/high 11s on slicks - very quick NA build
As a previous mazdaspeed 3 owner with 335whp I sold it and got an suv bc of family. I do love the look of the ek sedan and would love to get one and swap k24a2 engine with 6sp NA for daily commute!

Man would have been super clean if this was a converted vi-rs build.
The parts for the vi-rs are super rare from the grill to the cluster and even the badged double din housing and not to mention D15B three stage vtec motor cost bread nowadays

I see alot of miss information in the honda world. "Unless you have a hatch back you do not have a EK" 96-00 coupes are EJ8 96-00 sedans are EJ6. If you dont believe me, check your vin. The first 3 are your model....period. all EKs came with a B16B type R, and i believe they only came in 97 or 98-00. 99-00 coupe with a b16a2 is a Em1. A true Em1 is a SI it has rear disk, spoiler, fog lights and different cluster. Canada SI is nothing more than a d16y8 EJ8.

EX is referred to the trim level. So there are DX, LX, EX. The EK part is the generation of the car. this is a sixth gen Civic aka EK. 5th gen Civics are EG.
