Great game. I really appreciate the players' explanations of their decisions. That insight into the minds of the players makes this channel distinctive among the cEDH channels I follow.
I hope Joel's mulls don't get turned into a meme because this time he did mull correctly, imo. The 6, which was the only potentially keepable hand wasn't really that great and had very narrow and situational options to choose from. cEDH mulls can fuck you up often because the top end of EDH (= cEDH) is very aggressive, which means one must also mull accordingly. Hope to see more Joel, i like the guy.
Ninja burn! Really smooth piloting there Mons, respect the change in strategy because of the game state. A lot of people I know would just have cast Doomsday and been blown out.
Whats the reason behind building najeela like that? Wouldnt it be better to build her with warriors and extra combats? Seems more consistent to build her with warriors than trying to combo off even though your commander is meant for swinging for damage. Genuinely curious not flaming.
It is good to have it. If I had some free to cast counterspells I would have gone for it. Yuriko just didn't give me those. Or she actually did but I had to use them.
It is actually a combination of playtesting on moxfield and using OBS as a webcam to send that feed to spelltable. I have a video tutorial explaining how to creat that set up for free in this youtube video link. ua-cam.com/video/3xYR639ZwDo/v-deo.html
What is the logic/reasoning for Pontus to not fight for his jeska's will? He had mental misstep and flusterstorm each of which represent 4 damage and with veyran could kill at least one player. If offer was used that is an opportunity to use mystical with the treasures you can cast mystical and kill 2 players.
I never win the 1v1 vs Mons there, especially if i tap out to attack his other opponents. So the narsets reversal was the nail in the coffin for jeksas will to resolve since i couldnt conter it + the known fierce What i could've done was try and convince Mons to counter the Jeska's will to stop the narset's reversal and the flustering the fierce+narsets reversal but thats not somethign i thought of and not sure Mons would've taken the bait
@@sPontus Thank you for the reply. That was the only things I kind of thought is that maybe you figured you had a better chance of winning if you had more people to gang up on Mons. Given the way the game did go and a lot of Mons' reasoning you were seemingly the big target almost solely because of your life total.
I agree with Joels mulligans this game. You even saw him slowing down and really thinking it through so don't just shit talk our guests. The six was okay but as Joel pointed it was 1 all in on the target having Mystic remora as well as it resolving 2 not a great game for Remora to begin with. So why not just try your chances at a better hand? The mulls are like 75% of a cEDH game so keeping medium hands is just asking to lose. (there is a sideline where you grasp for crypt and hold up oppo but najeela + yuriko doesnt usually mean you can grind all that well, especielly not with a crypt in play)
His mulligan logic was sound this time. Keeping the 6 would have been the greedy/risky thing to do. Arguably safer to look for more permanent ramp than go all-in on the Grasp ➡️ Remora line while going after 2 blue players in turn order with a creature-heavy deck following him, as he explained.
Always nice to see something other than a combo win in cedh.
YEAH! Well I had the combo. But I really think not going for it was correct. Soo cool when that is the correct thing to do.
@@cedhtvgameplay3974 can alwasy go for Doomsday and put the 3 highest MV cards on top of your library
Great game! It made me so happy to watch this gameplay as a Yuriko Player! Thanks Mons!
Your welcome. Game was super fun!
Love hearing the thought process of not going for the doomsday line. Just because you can combo does not mean you always should try to, great game!
11:17 "And then we're sending this Ornithopter at you, *Tivit,* the _Joel player!"_ 😄
Please deepfake my face on Tivit and I can change my name to Tivit 😆
Great commander, great pilot, and great video! Good job Mons! Keep up the bangers!
Thank you!
Nice a safe playing. Well done, and well played.
Love to see Yuriko. Love to see Najeela. I will never get tired of those two. Throw in Thasios//Dargo and im in heaven

I would have laughed a lot if MOMs tried dooms day and died to brain freeze
that would have been so sad.
I love to listen to him say Shance XD

how do i get the chance to play with you guys
So in the end it was probably wrong to keep the doomsday, since you did rightly not go for it, but blue cards are pitchable. Stormcrow logic.

Surprised you didn't use doomsday as bait. Nice game.
Hummm. Could have done that. But I was a bit scard of opposition agent.
What website do you guys play on?

My lesson: Never ever play or copy Jeska’s Will when you play a polymorph deck. Wrecked my plan!😅

Hi.
Jule literally always mulligans to four. Bro needs to slow down and think before throwing away every hand that isn’t absolutely perfect
