@ 5:00 you cannot search for lotus bloom off of saga since saga specifies a "mana cost" of 0 or 1, not "mana value". It has to be exactly 0 mana or 1 colorless mana to cast in order to fetch it, you can't find 1 mana colored artifacts either like portable hole or witching well.
@@MstrKipper your mixing up "mana cost" and "mana value". Urzas saga can only find an artifact that "costs" exactly 0 or 1 (colorless). Think sol ring, mana crypt. You cannot find smth with no mana cost, e.g. lotus bloom has no mana cost (but a mana value of 0). You can also look at the offical rulings of urzas saga, to confirm this.
Never heard of you guys before, found it because youtube was all like "I see you looking up chunli decks" and I must say it is one (if not the best) at showcasing a deck in play. Usually the "what does this deck plan to do" is all a viewer gets, but stuff like the explanation in real time of why Msytic Remora kills the Chun-Li deck is SO APPRECIATED. Now all that follows makes sense. Way better than just having an explanation at the end of the match. You guys keep it up! (°u°)b
You Guys do incredible work on this channel, just sending some love from Chicago! The gameplay, explanations, the game plans, the visual presentation, the admitting mistakes and explaining how the game was affected overall by them, just totally impressed. Keep it up!
17:04 If the Thrasios deck had Eternal Witness in the decklist they could have still gone off even after getting countered (unless Chunli drew into another counterspell off the one trigger Remora would have gotten). Punished for not running the green edh staple.
Mostly we just grab a deck we like and see what we all end up with. Sometimes we play final top 4 pods from tournaments. We also kinda like different things so we never really play the same. But we don't talk much about what to play. We more or less just start.
hey mons was wondering why you didn't hold up rift when you were getting a turn after and could cast it before your turn on the extra turn you took or at the end guy above you's turn.
I thought I would get more interaction. I had an unspent mana and I wanned to get value from it. I also didn't wanna loss my fish. I was kinda banking on fish getting me something. But I guess I should have letten the fish go and save the mana for overload.
It is actually a OBS virtual cam and Moxfield playtest trick. I made a video about it here is a link if your intreasted: ua-cam.com/video/3xYR639ZwDo/v-deo.html
Nice game gents, after 1 player got eliminated Tivit would then only make 4 artifacts, then after player 2 eliminated only 3, was there still enough extra pieces to finish Annis off?
@@PhoenixRNH It is, but the Saga activation should have been caught by someone. But maybe that's just because I play Modern and Saga is such a staple in that format. I think it just was a mistake though.
@@TheMattmatic I don't mean Saga specifically, people tend to get really upset at any mistake but who knows how long they'd been playing for that day/night, maybe they were tired, good content nonetheless
basically in one sentence you created a construct token with only 2 mana and complained about drawing lotus bloom, because you wanted to find it with urzas saga I think its save to say this was the very first time you played urzas saga?
Hmm time warp is an interesting choice. Don't the main lists run capture of jz and temporal manipulation instead? The whole point is to dodge misdirection/swat as these two do not target.
Still not a huge fan of revealing opponent's hand after the Peek. Seems like it goes against play etiquette a bit unless it was discussed amongst the group before hand.
how does he keep taking infinite turns if one player is knocked out and then a second player is knocked out. he will only be making 3 artifacts when he has to kill the 3rd player. so technically i think people prematurely concede to time sieve every time I watch it on youtube with Tivit as the commander. make him actually play it out and kill everyone to see if he actually has enough. now if he had academy manufactor on the field making triple artifacts every trigger than I don't see a problem with it.
He can kill everyone one more or less at the same time. Attacking everyone equaly. also he will be drawing cards and can cast more rocks during the all his turns. Maybe even return his commander back to hand so he can cast him again for extra more rocks.
@@cedhtvgameplay3974 yeah but that's the thing. It's not guaranteed. I played in a pod at my locals and got the time sieve and then everyone quit. I couldn't kill everyone at the time, but they all picked up their cards.

Well, to be fair, urza's saga can't get lotus bloom if I remember correctly, so it was kinda ok to draw it there
It can becuase Lotus Bloom has a CMC of zero. If something does not have a cost it counts as zero

Yeah, they templated Urza's Saga in a way that prevents a lot of shenanigans.
@@Egovinco98 Interesting I did not realize, good to know!
@16:31 "Bounce my Tivit" what a clutch play! If only Ward was paid too.
We don't talk about that.
At 5:30 a construct was created with just the one land and Saga, but Saga needs to be tapped for that ability so it can't be used for mana
I know I saw it when I edited the video too.

Amazing back and forth. How do you guys decide which deck to pilot for a video?

19:35 Instead u can use snap to bounce other creature and untap 2 lands for pontus then pontus can just cast force of will with his 5 mana
pontus ... Well I am happy to get rid of Tivit. It kinda was what I wanned to remove.
Nice game I really like this format
thank you tim.
hey mons was wondering why you didn't hold up rift when you were getting a turn after and could cast it before your turn on the extra turn you took or at the end guy above you's turn.
in fact you could have done it in response to dockside and he would have made only 1 treasure and would not have been able to try to win with emiel.

10:56 what makes the second monk?
11:57 did mons give a clue - as spoken or treasure - as created? (Maybe editing cut a discussion?)

You are allowed to share any known information you have
If someone drops a card from their hand and you see it but no one else does and then you tell everyone, that is wrong
Saga can't get Lotus bloom BTW
