I feel like Aaron could have responded by Intuitioning for a Force of Will or whatever and then countering the Godo? The Ogre was uncounterable but I don't think Godo was, and the 24 life for a second cast wasn't happening that turn. That said it was very impressive.
I'll keep commenting on it until the cows come home. Just adore the deck introduction and the goofy lines of text with them. Much love from the nation's capital!
Blood moon is such a weird card - it's a very simple line of text to read and requires so many base game rules to actually work. Why does it remove card abilities but not supertypes or types? Why does it remove land subtypes but not other subtypes? Why doesn't it change the card name? All of these are presumably somewhere in the official game rules but good luck guessing. Reading the card does not explain the card.
On game one, coudln't he intuition for free interaction (force of will), then cast it (pitching mastermind), countering Godo? Its not like the godo player as 24 more life to try to recast godo that turn. Original: "couldn't he intuition for a force pitch faire mastermind on godo?"
That Magus on game 2 reminds me of why I love both the Magus/Blood Moon effects. Mono Red has access to some pretty gnarly Stax effects, and it makes me happy. Ilharg still does it for me, but Godo is pretty sick.
Paused the video and took straight to the comments looking for this very comment. Could've tutored for FoW, LED, and Brain Freeze. Maybe he thought Godo was also an Orge?
The out to the Force of Despair is the play the prospector. On Alex's end step activate Snoop making infinite snoops if the Force gets used you can go again on upkeep
Can i find the “spike feeder green” sleeves jim has for yuriko in stores anywhere? I rather enjoy that color and it would be my test pack for gamegenic sleeves since i have been a die hard dragonshield user.
I think the play for Elliot in game 2 was to play the skirk and not torch courier and threaten the combo because Force of Despair does not pitch during Jim's turn and you can make infinite mana and grenzo a bunch
lol aaron dies in game 1 with intuition and faerie mastermind in his hand when he could have grabbed FOW in response to the godo cast. must have been dizzy from all the red mana being spent!
I believe you live if you have two indestructible blockers though, or I guess two large enough with first strike? Since only 2 Godos attack each combat
@@MstrKipper Indestructible creatures make things weirder but the Godo player can still probably win - if they just attack a player who doesn't have 3+ power of indestructible/first trike creatures over and over with one Godo, they build up untapped Godo tokens (since each one does untap itself the first time it attacks) and then eventually they can attack the indestructible-having player with all of those.
I think snoop could have taken it after the original didn't snoop didnt eat force of despair The next turn you set up the kiki jiki on top then make infinite snoops on Alex's endstep to threaten infinite attackers and force the force. Then on your upkeep before your draw proceed with the normal fanatic combo
So Game 1 Aaron should have used Intuition to grab FoW. Sure, you can't counter the Ogre itself, but that's fine since you just FoW the Godo cast and then Alex doesn't have enough life to actually go for the win anymore.
The turn two win could have been stopped by intuition for a force of will and pitch the master mind to counter godo? Added kicker if you put sevinnes and breach in grave
"What are you naming?"
"OGRE."
The entire table is suddenly wide-a-fuckin'-wake
He did it, by god he did it.
He counted to 11
He actually only counted to 4. Then 18. Then 15. He bypassed 11.
I don't know what's worse... That Jim and Eliot made the "Mountain in the hand" joke, or that I did the exact same thing 2 seconds earlier
That turn two win was absolutely nuts, nice to see Alex finally do the thing ™️
Welp, thanks for the spoilers. :(
@@kellystoller7225 Who tf still reads comments before watching the video? 100% your fault.
it was indeed the nuts

That said it was very impressive.
That's what I was gonna comment you are correct. He would not have been able to recast his commander.
I'll keep commenting on it until the cows come home. Just adore the deck introduction and the goofy lines of text with them. Much love from the nation's capital!
11:33 Alex.exe has failed
I can't imagine the Spike Feeders without Alex as their Master of Ceremonies.
I’ve watched this 5 times and still can’t get over the turn 2 Godo win.
I was confused for a second but then realized helm of the host gives haste to the creature lol. Gg
@@rudysal1429 it gives haste to the copy created by it, to be exact.
Elliot and I both wheeze like Muttley while laughing and that mountain in the bush joke gave me the serotonin to make it through today 😂
Love seeing Rite of Flame being an actual Dark Ritual
shoutout to Rite of Flame, though
😮that turn 2 win was absolutely satisfying to watch!!!
Good games, and thank you Aaron for inspiring me to add Breach to my Nekusar deck!
Favorite mountain is Ashaya, the split second (not the mechanic) before they die to blood moon.
Just don't go to state-based effects and you get to keep her forever :D

Two commander games faster than my play group has ever finished one. Impressive. More importantly…Odyssey mountain 344 is the best mountain.
heavy editing helps...
Jim's face when Yuriko get's blasted is absolutely comical 😂😂

You phrased that really weirdly… but I get what you’re saying .
Rephrased :D, its a real problem for me to only type barely enough information. apreciate the reply@@MM-lv7iy
Sometimes it’s good to be reminded to comment. Favorite moment was every yuriko trigger cause why not
This orcish bowmaster had a dream. He could have been van helsing in this game 😅
Every time that I want to play CEDH I just watch a game like that second game. I actually fell asleep. GG
He only went and did it! You love to see it.
Intuition for Force, Sevinne's, and Breach, they have to give you force and then you're set up for a win?
I was also looking at that and was very curious as Aaron had a blue card to pitch to the force and could counter Godo
My favorite mountain is Longs Peak, it just looks so goddamn majestic from the front range.
Is worth two in the bush
Favorite was Jim's response to the red elemental blast on yuriko
Godo goes BRRR :) nice T2 Alex!
That Magus on game 2 reminds me of why I love both the Magus/Blood Moon effects. Mono Red has access to some pretty gnarly Stax effects, and it makes me happy. Ilharg still does it for me, but Godo is pretty sick.
Aaron could have gone for Intuition for FoW to counter Godo, or am I missing something?
Paused the video and took straight to the comments looking for this very comment. Could've tutored for FoW, LED, and Brain Freeze.
Maybe he thought Godo was also an Orge?
I was wondering why it was a 32 minute video with a speedrun title, but I now understand lmao
The out to the Force of Despair is the play the prospector. On Alex's end step activate Snoop making infinite snoops if the Force gets used you can go again on upkeep
Well that was a wheelie good episode
Can i find the “spike feeder green” sleeves jim has for yuriko in stores anywhere? I rather enjoy that color and it would be my test pack for gamegenic sleeves since i have been a die hard dragonshield user.
Honest question, why do you use paper to track life? It looks cooler, I wanna do it this way?
Each player tracks everyone's life so we can avoid mistakes.
Jim flipping the bird at Eliot 😂
hey guys I'm curious what is the most competitive Grixis deck?
With the bowmaster would be a win too?
I know its silver bordered, but it has to be Mountain of Ass
My favorite mountain is Gregor Clegane
9:00 why didn’t he have to sacrifice a swamp?
11:38 is there a reason Jim didn’t play the memnite with the mountain…
Chalice on 0 counters it
Memnite is zero mana and chalice of the void was on zero.
That orge so funny nice mono red turn two win.
I think the play for Elliot in game 2 was to play the skirk and not torch courier and threaten the combo because Force of Despair does not pitch during Jim's turn and you can make infinite mana and grenzo a bunch
if jim uses the force on the Skirk you still have an out to make infinite snoops in Alex's end step for lethal
its already been said but Aaron absolutely misplaced bro could've grabbed FOW with intuition and mastermind in hand to counter the godo
A lot of mountains today.
Its the malcolm into glinthorn all over again
my favorite mountain is probably temple of the false god
More blue decks need to run Snapback as 0 mana interaction that isn't just a counterspell.
lol aaron dies in game 1 with intuition and faerie mastermind in his hand when he could have grabbed FOW in response to the godo cast. must have been dizzy from all the red mana being spent!
Never realized rite of flame counted all graveyards
Cool stuff 👌
What a 2 minute game! lol
Does the token untapped the original godo? Because godo is not a samurai. Am I missing something? Genuine question
No but the additional attack step each time creates another Godo to attack someone.
It’s always snowing on mt. Fuji.
Wouldn't the original Godo be the only one not attacking?
Normally yes because you don't want original godo to die in combat but in this case it wouldn't matter since nobody has creatures that can kill him
I think snoop could have taken it after the original didn't snoop didnt eat force of despair
The next turn you set up the kiki jiki on top then make infinite snoops on Alex's endstep to threaten infinite attackers and force the force. Then on your upkeep before your draw proceed with the normal fanatic combo
A Mountain in the hand is worth two in the Brushland.
I believe that was a full game that could be uploaded to tiktok
Zoom!
What's the name of your deck?
"Win fast or die faster"
Also I need a recording of Alex saying "ogre" as my notification bell
In game 1 you just inquisition for force and force godo???
Both Tiagas and marijuana are legal in Canada. Just putting that information out there; do with it what you will...
are yall canadian ?
We are from Winnipeg, Manitoba!
So Game 1 Aaron should have used Intuition to grab FoW. Sure, you can't counter the Ogre itself, but that's fine since you just FoW the Godo cast and then Alex doesn't have enough life to actually go for the win anymore.
Yoooo lets go spikes
I just want some giant spikefeeder dice xD
Godo will be always my first love
Favopurite mountain? Stok Kangri, world never looked more beautiful.
Why couldn't you counter anything at the end? sorry
Love your channel! PLEASE do an Urabrask the great work cEDH deck sometime. Thank you
19:32 can't us force of negation becoz of Chalice of the Void X is Zero
Why didn't Aaron just Intuition for a Force of Will and counter Godo? He had a blue card for it.
my favourite mountain is mad blind mountain cause its silly
game 1, intuition for FOW????question mark
I love a turn two win. Nothing feels better than it in the game
Nice
This is great and important content. It helps show why regular Commander and cEDH should be separate formats with different ban lists.
cooked take, absolutely not
Rite of flame op
I hope that I never play a game of magic like either of these in my life. It just feels so boring to sit and watch happen.
Someone should shuffle Alex deck next time... xD
In game one, How did he attack immediately with Godo since it doesn’t have haste?
The Godo that Helm creates does. I Tapped it to indicate action, not actually to attack with the equipped Godo. - Alex
@@TheSpikeFeeders Ah gotcha. Okay. Thank you for the explanation
Favorite mountain. Mountain of ass.
this just feel like every game that godo plays first
I really miss having some background music in these videos sometimes
Def worth 2 in the bush lol. Only us old people will know that one!
int for force of will and sac faerie mastermind to the extra cost and force the godo and then he doesnt have enough life to win with t ogre
Easily the most boring combo I've seen on the channel.
i think mount saint helen is pretty cool because mt everest is kinda overrated
The turn two win could have been stopped by intuition for a force of will and pitch the master mind to counter godo? Added kicker if you put sevinnes and breach in grave
Is Aaron from Canada? I’ve heard him say “aboot” multiple times during the video.
Kinda makes you wonder if there are other secret Canadians...
