A friend purchased a Ford F750 with a Cummins ISB CM850 engine; won't get out of it's own way on the highway, but seems to accelerate well enough from 0-45, then it seems like it wants to slowly accelerate stopping around 55-60. I'll try looking into the road speed governor tomorrow. Looks like the waste gate on the turbo is bad too; boost pressure is hitting 46 PSI.
Could you tell me why would my truck runs perfect when in test mode on insite. N14 injectors testing? No mechanic can tell why in shop. Thanks for any info.
Any reason why the cruise would not exceed the pedal speed? i know on the detroits there is a setting to allow cruise to exceed vehicle RLS. Do you know if theres a similar setting on the cummins ECU? thanks
hello i have a 2022 lt series with x15, been to shop twice now and they put on computer to turn up to 75 mph, but it will only go 73 but it says on laptop set at 75 mph. you can actually set cruise at 75 n shows it but truck will still only go 73, and on any slight decline if it just knicks 74 mph the trans will downshift to 11th n drop speed to 71/72 n then climb up to 73 n stop there n the bucking of droppin to 11th shouldnt be.. two questions, why wont it go 75 n do the droop settings have anything to do with this n what should the low n high droop be set at? thanks!
Hello nice video, I had also figured out how to do this with my trucks but on one truck that parameter change is locked so I can’t change it myself. It was tuned and I believe the tuner locked it for some dumb reason. You don’t happen to know how to unlock or override it somehow would you? I believe I’ll have to get a new tune for it but asking just Incase. Thanks
Its funny how a driver can ditate how fast he wants to go in your truck. Speed will not get you there faster than traffic allows. The faster you go the more fuel it consumes more stress and wear and tear on your equipment. Any business owner operator knows this, plus safety is now minimized.
Guess you've never driven a governed truck. Just because the top speed has been adjusted doesn't mean you would drive wide open. You don't drive your car wide open even though you can. Correct ?

It sounds like ur rev/per mile is off on ur tire size
its 493 revs/mi where it should be.. wondering if it needs to be taken out of economy mode n into performance mode?

@@benkolosov6177 it may be the tune wants that blocked or if you return your truck back to factory settings then retry the tune it will fix the issue

They don't know what they r doing or u have a computer problem as in its locked or just ain't receiving data from the computer
