How to make change to your Cummins ISX engine, this applies to ISX, ISX 15 and X15. You will need your Cummins Insite software. If the ECM is password protected you will need to remove it by purchasing a Zap It password from Cummins directly.
REMEMBER, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW THE LAWS REGARDING SPEED. Changing the speed to your vehicle is your responsibility.

Company driver here, do I need to buy this license for software at an authorized Cummins dealer/repair? Looks like you can get the connector online. Other drivers say there is a guy at the shop you can pay $500 but if they change your truck it’s gone. The International and Pete’s have Cummins but the freightliners have Detroits so it’s still risky

Depends on where you are. I am in So Cal. So we have to go through Cummins Cal Pacific.
You can go through Cummins to purchase. If someone is charging $500 to make this parameter change. That is way too much.

As a company driver, you better get the owners/companys' permission first before you start changing speeds on that truck. And $500 is WAYYYY too much for that. It's more like $150, last I knew.
