D23 was a major disappointment with no Jedi Survivor, Star Wars Eclipse, KOTOR Remake, or any other Upcoming Star Wars Game featuring at the event. I am a little upset about the fact that I paid for the deluxe edition of Lego Star Wars the skywalker saga, and now they are releasing more DLC that I will have to pay more money for! They should give the DLC for free to everyone who bought the Deluxe Edition!

I haven't gotten the Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga deluxe edition yet because I'm waiting to get the PS5 version of the deluxe edition but now they're coming out with a galactic Edition I'll probably just get that instead

Imagine a Mandalorian game like rdr2 set between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi where we see Mando get his ship and build a reputation for himself during the chaotic times of the galactic civil war. Or you could set it right after the fall of the empire where the outer and mid rim are complete chaos and gangs scramble for hired guns to help take advantage of the confusion.
That would be so fucking cool

Look up Star Wars: Eclipse, its a open world Star wars game where your decisions effect the world around you. Its in pretty early development so dont expect it anytime soon😅

Id love a bounty hunter themed game where you pick your birthplace and has tons of customization and a story like red dead 2 would be amazing

What? No thanks. They get stale real quickly. Too focused on making the nerds tear up with cameos, references, callbacks, Easter eggs, connecting one thing to another, retconning events, telling an existing story their way instead , adding cameo after cameo after returning character after connection after callback. It’s sooo tiring.
Clone wars series 7 is the only time it worked. As it felt big, it felt unique and clever and really well done. Obi wan, rogue one, last Jedi and Andor are so refreshingly different because we’re doing something new and fresh with a different tone and feel. Filoni and faverau just throw as many Easter eggs as they can on to the screen and then try and from a plot around it.

I feel like we could still get news about Star Wars games, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that companies can announce things without being at an event. While yes that would be a great time to do so, it’s not like they can’t say anything outside of an event

I thought we would at least see something from Jedi Survivor and the news on Ubisofts title or at the very list at their own showcase but nothing. I get not seeing Eclipse as that's far out but for the TV and other media I was satisfied
I’m not getting eclipse anymore I heard a Chinese company bought out the developer who was going to make that game
I’m glad Lego Star Wars is adding clone wars, I really hope they add voice line and not just the cosmetics

I think that games a LOT of fun overall, and it'd add a lot more replayability for me personally. 🤷
Well, from all we know of Respawn and their way to market games, they love to only show games when they are almost finished. Just look at their newest games:
1. Jedi Fallen Order Gameplay was first schon at E3 of 2019 and the game released in November of 2019
2. Apex Legends was revealed the same day it was released
So there is still hope for a first half 2023 Release in my opinion but based on the current climate it could also be that it will be "pushed back" a bit further and come out later in 2023 (I mean officially it wouldn't even be a pushback as they only gave us 2023 for now)
I think everybody must just think about how complicated AAA-Development is nowadays. Survivor has the advantage that as the second game in a franchise it can take many of the systems used in the first game and simply refine them a bit and only add a few new systems (like probably the ability to use a blaster). But we must also realize that they needed to switch engines and focus a completely new console-generation (yes, the switch from UE4 to UE5 is not hard but using all it's features to it's max. potential is). And who knows, maybe they are changing the mechanics more than we expect.
Even so, 4 years of Development for a AAA-Game can nowadays actually be considered as pretty short. I will just use a different game as an example: God of War Ragnarok. It was also in development for 4 years and while almost certainly being of extreme quality and probably a GOTY-Contender they also used many of the systems developed for God of War 2018 to shorten Development time. So, a 4 year development time is pretty normal today for such a game as Survivor probably will turn out to be

A Mandalorian game wouldn't be bad. The story is like: it starts from the time when Mando was saved by the watch and get trained so smth like the fallen order
At this point star wars games take so long to release that I start to forget them. Maybe I am going to try out star wars mod for squad. But I don't think a mod can keep long enough entertained like star wars rp which I stopped in less than a year

i think there needs to be a shift on the longevity of games and letting individual studios license the characters to make their own games. i remember spending SO MUCH time in both the complete saga, kotor, and lego clone wars
that is to say- we shouldn’t need news every 6 months; these games should last the three year dry spouts we often get

I did Pre-Order the Deluxe Edition, which means no discounts. I've already spent $70 on the Skywalker Saga. I probably will buy more, but most likely not any time soon.
I’ve already 100%’d Skywalker Saga.. if this was DLC level packs then sure but character packs only? Yeah no one is going to go back to this game
What's disappointing is the fact battlefront 3 remake will probably never exist
It is pretty weird that Warhammer, an IP completely dwarfed by StarWars, has consistently had more and in large part better games come out for quite a few years now...
You should also take into account that WH lets anyone use their IP at a relatively low price, sure many good games under the franchise have released in recent years but there's also so much trash that has been and is being produced with the IP.
SW has a much better quality over quantity ratio

Perhaps a bit off topic here (with apologies):
I realize that pretty much everything for Star Wars Squadrons has already been released, but there is so much potential to expand upon that game, by doing ground-up rebuilds of campaigns from the PC titles: X-wing, TIE Fighter, X-wing Vs TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance.
Let’s be realistic
We all want a game that’s ALMOST impossible to make right
Which is probably why they always lack in some areas, we all have different exceptions for what we want in a star wars title
Some like factions, some politics, some just sith mass murder rampage, and it’s hard to make a game with all the possibilities in the star wars universe
Maybe it’s a good thing that Jedi survivors didn’t have new flashy adds, they might actually be developing a good Disney Star Wars game possibly. At least we can hope
I have a founderful Idea for a star wars game were it would be open world and over time worlds would change and you can pick your own faction something pretty similar to warframe and empire at war
D23 had loads of trailers and news for Star Wars fans who knew there wouldn’t be any games news because nothing was leaked
When I was 10 Lego Star Wars games were fun. But at this point in my life I just don’t care for Lego games
So i've played a few star wars games in the recent weeks ( love episode three because of the duel mode ) and im pondering on taking fallen jedi if i can have some returns from people who played the game it would help me out a lot. Things like gameplay, customisation and such ...
I recommend the game a lot. It's a weird mix of uncharted and Dark souls. Gameplay is your basic platformer plus enemy beat em up. Customization is there but it is entirely cosmetic and requires you explore the levels thoroughly.
Because modern gaming is in a dire state

Perhaps an update would be nice, but I’m not discouraged at all by the lack of news.
If the games aren’t ready, I’m glad they aren’t raising hopes too soon. I would prefer to have fewer games that I can put a lot of hours into rather than a ton of bad games that aren’t worth sticker price. Those games will come when they’re, but for now we have Lego Skywalker Saga and that’s plenty for me

Honestly when it comes to games I am always fine with waiting longer if that means that the game is actually gonna be good. Too many games have been ruined because the developers weren't given enough time to finish.

All we want is an open world mmorpg starwars game with a planetary conquest/liberation pvp mechanic, factions could be as follows. The Jedi Order, The republic, The Empire, The Sith, The Mandalorians, The Outer Rim. Implement a bounty system, player driven economy, and random roles for force sensitivity as well as a quest line for force attunement for characters that do happen to be force sensitive. Where they can be jedi, sith, or grey jedi. Your choice of attunement limits your choice of factions where as all non force sensitive characters are free to chose their factions save the jedi or sith factions.
Just wait for the game to be near finished then release a trailer for it 🤯
We need a new star wars VR game, with different choices of story lines, similar to old republic with soldier, bounty hunter, jesi and sith
Because in 2012 the new people who take over these old gaming companies suck and they poison the old ways with this new BS that doesn’t work. They don’t understand the concept of a full game at launch.

Actually, I believe the KOTOR remake has been indefinitely delayed. So even if we got more information on a lot of Star Wars games, we wouldn't have gotten anything on that.
Also, there is still the Game Awards at the end of the year. Not a huge place for announcements, but it does happen.

I don't like that they're releasing more dlc packs that deluxe edition owners MUST buy but I also expected it and ain't bummed about it overall. The game itself is mostly a watered down traditional lego star wars game anyways, these new characters offer nothing unique to gameplay and are effectively just reskins of pre-existing characters. Reva is effectively Darth Maul.
the last hope for star wars gaming news this year is now the game awards. if nothing shows up then, i think it's safe to say jedi: survivor has been delayed internally.

People should know that deluxe never has all dlcs its the goty or ultimate edition that gives that and they never said it will include any future expansions so yall just gotta read before you buy
EA losing exclusivity dosen’t mean anything. It never did. Even before they got the exclusive rights, Star Wars games were slowing down. EA took a big chance getting the rights to SWs because at the end of the day, SW games are still licensed games, and expensive license at that.
EA had to spend a ton of money to make these games. Sony could afford to throw money at Spider-Man, because they own Spider-Man. Most AAA studios would rather spend money on their own Ips.
AAA Star Wars games are not going to come from independent studios who are mismanaged. Only EA and Ubisoft can produce those, and tbh, Ubisoft’s financial problems will probably cause their game to be cancelled.
They only started slowing down when Disney got the license, before that there was First Assault, 1313, the Maul game and Attack Squadrons in development.

Yeeeeeah, after how meh the last set of Skywalker Saga dlc was, I'm not gonna bother, lol. I know it's how they've always done it, but paying money for characters with no voicelines, no special powers, and usually not even special animations, is not worth it. The only ones I actually use from the original pack are Ahsoka and Mando

Nah bro we been patient for years. EA completely mishandled their end of the 10 year Disney deal and have only made 4 Star Wars games in that time. Now, every game being worked on is years away because they were only recently able to begin making them. That’s Disney and EA’s fault.

Would love an outcast remaster. I still think the combat there was better than fallen order. The only bit of fallen order I liked more was timed deflect doing special stuff. Outcast and academy rocked the feeling of Jedi/sith gameplay.
Referring specifically to the combat. Obviously graphics in fallen order was absurdly superior.

What they need to do is make more remakes. They’re doing that with kotor but we need to see more get more information. Video games are such a good place to have Star Wars content but Disney isn’t utilising their own property correctly.
