As you panned over the contents in the first few seconds of the video I could see the extreme high quality in every single thing that you chose including the little Petzl headlamp

Thank you! I've been able to field test such a variety of gear over the years, that I have definitely found what items perform above the rest.

Really nice kit, that waxed canvas bag is just the right size, that’s basically the contents that I carry.

Awesome video and nice kit!! I may have missed it but I I didn't see a compass, a small one could be useful.

IMO…This setup looks more like something you’d keep in your vehicle rather than on your person.

The Amazon Seller is probably scratching his head wondering why all of a sudden he's got a couple of hundred orders of this pouch. That's a great kit.

Is it water proof or at least water resistant!

Waxed canvas usually does good job of repelling rain. I haven't been in a heavy rain with it yet, but in the light rain I was in everything stayed dry.

Well now I have a waxed canvas belt pouch on the way. Lol
    Great vid as always Dan!
I'd wrap that Bic with some 1" gorilla tape, swap the camo bandana for an orange one.

Great little pouch, I think you will really like it. Good call on the tape, but camo is my lucky color, lol!

I have a black nylon Austin House bag that I wish I could get more of. I was able to fit a Doug Ritter PSK inside, an AMK .3 first aid kit with extras, batteries, wire saw, folding knife, all in internal pockets. It looks the same size as yours. Even without internal pockets, a bag that size holds a very good kit for 2 pounds and under. The wearability is a big plus when stepping away from camp. Thanks for sharing yours, i'll watch it again later and see if I want to add or change what is in mine.

It will definitely fit a cargo pant pocket, but I'm not sure about a regular one.

I made a very similar kit last month, with a similar pouch size, for precisely the same role.
    Kifaru small pouch on closeout.
Would love to send you a pic of what I did. Is there a way to do that?

Nice kit Dan. Hey I finely picked up an OLight OClip to try on my Boonie hat. Man this thing is small & the clip seems to work really well. I had an i3E 90lm on the hat using a mollie Web dominator, but when you add up the weight it’s the same as the new Oclip. But the Oclip is super easy to add or remove from the hat, the i3E was not. Neither one make a great headlamp on such a soft form hat but they work. With the different output levels & the clip this thing is a winner. I keep 48” lengths of paracord with a cord lock in my kits, handy for lots of things but I can also add the Oclip to it & hang it around my neck. Only had the light a couple of days so time will tell if it works long term.

Very nice! I have those little olights in each of my kits, and on the visor of my truck. I have clipped it to my hat as well and works great!

Cool kit.. I just carry things distributed wisely in my pockets, and knife on the belt! A pack always in my truck. No pouches here, I hate them! Quite honestly, this pouch trend lately just ticks me off!

I used to see it the same as you. Just pockets. But I really like getting dressed quickly. The only thing I'm my pockets is wallet, knife, hanky with a TOURNIQUET, keys.
      My belt carries defense.
The other benefit is in the event of a house fire, you are out faster. That being said, having your pants pre set will do the same.
