Even my small simple fire kits have a few items for play time, but I do have a play bag that normally has way to much in it. Sometimes I just walk around my yard looking for items to start my charcoal BBQ. My wife just laughs at me & sometimes it takes a little while to get the Big Green Egg going. But that’s the fun & challenge….a few leaves, some grass & maybe a little birch bark 🔥
Same, neighbour does the man thing with lighter fluid and a lighter, I do the Man thing and get scraps from the area to do it, impressed his Mum no end one time when I used her glasses to light pocket fluff and get the burn on. 😂
Great video on fire. I like that pouch. Also like the fact you have at least one waterproof tinder and another ignition option beside the bic lighter. They just dont want to work below 30 degrees due to the boiling point of butane. Well done. Fresnel lens is named after its inventor French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel. The name is pronounced /freɪˈnɛl/ (fray-NELL), the 's' is silent. Help spread the word. 😊
Love the name! found your channel and glad I have. I spend some serious time in the Ochoco National forest every year. Its probably my favorite part of central Oregon..
A really key video. Three important points are having redundancy for fire making, bringing tinder sources whether they are DIY hacks or commercial and practice, practice, practice.

Lol! I often start my burning barrel with a ferro rod or flint and steel.
