Dipping with the Melt Pot

  • Pop a little of the gilding wax on the twiddlybitz tag, this acts as a background. Using a pair of tweezers, dip the tag into the clear melted UTEE, take it out allowing any excess drips to melt back into the pot. Now dip into the flakes, allow to cool then using a texture sponge take off the excess flakes, then dip into the pot again. You will get air bubbles, which you can pop - some of them however, look brilliant left as they really add texture. This time I added a heart. Keep dipping until you are happy with the layers created, and the depth - adding embellishments with each dip. Use the edge of the melt pot to take off excess UTEE.

You are right, it is addictive. Absolute playtime! The wax coating rubbed on here and there after the melting process for highlights might be nice also.

Thank you Leonie, I bought a melt pot years ago from a shopping channel, you know the one. I have never used it, so maybe I will give it a go, now I am reminded how to use it. I would so love to come round your place and play

I adore the tag you made!! I have a melting pot that I loved using, but got sidetracked away from it. Your videos are definitely inspiring me to get it out and start creating with it again. I have a couple of mini albums I'm going to make in honor of my recently passed brother in law. He was an ordained Chaplin for the motorcycle club he used to be a member of. I am sure my melting pot creations will add character to the mini albums that just could not be purchased.
