I am gonna have to get those dyes I didn't even know they were available. I purchased the melting pot about fine months ago and I have only used it once. :) I have just been extremely busy with my new business that I haven't had a whole lot of time to play with my toys. :) Thanks for sharing the great information for us! Keep it coming!
    Have a beautiful day!
    God Bless!
    Lynn

@MizCoffeMug Using Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel in the Melting Pot versus using embossing inks, powders and the heat gun are separate things. When you melt UTEE in the pot, you can pour it into molds, pour it onto a stamp, pour it out and stamp into it, among other things, to create 3D pieces of art. When you use embossing powder and ink, you use the ink to stamp an image or perhaps give an embellishment a glazed coating. Hope that explains the difference for you.

@kahether The pan is teflon coated, but the utee is sometimes difficult to remove that way.

@MzPixelFetish I know this is a long time ago but my kept dying after a couple of uses so I bought one that is used to remove wallpaper or paint, the HeatPro Hot Air Tool doesn't have the cutesy craft colours etc but it is heavy duty and 1/3 of the price....I don't care what they look like as long as works....adding the word craft on these items also adds onto the cost!!!

I JUST got my melting pot, and haven't been able to use it!!! No UTEE YET! I passed on getting UTEE, coz I was in need of an heat tool... The only one my michales had was one by Marvy... used it twice and it died! Wish they had the Ranger heat tool at my local M's!!

What's wrong with letting the UTEE cool in the melting pot and then using the spatula to lift up the cooled UTEE? It is teflon coated, correct?

I don't know how much these melting pots are but it looks to me about the same thickness as a cheapie teflon-coated brownie pan. Can't quite see the temp reading but seems like Medium on your stove top should be close. Use tongs (duh). stir w/ popsickle sticks (100 for $.79 at Walmart). Pad? Didn't pay attention...tin foil as substitute? Total cost=$4 max

hi there, i can see you wrote that a long time ago but i was just wondering if you gave up on it or you do have an australian one now? i moved to the states about 3 years ago from australia, after getting married and now moving back with hubby and trying to buy heaps of craft stuff to take with me. i looked up a bit and found out that now there is aussie one available. it's much cheaper here i really wanna buy one from here :(

I'm so upset :( I bought the melting pot but it had a US plug and my husband tried to adapt it to ours but it didn't work. So I bit the bullet and bought another, bought a US adaptor for our Australian power outlets, but unfortunately I melted one lot of UTEE once and poured into the moulds but as soon as I did that it worked no longer. I don't know of any other type of melting pot here in Australia and am sooooo soooooo jealous. A waste of money and still no better off *sigh*

Has anyone been able to figure out how to get UTEE _"CLEAR"_ to actually melt clear and not the amber color it comes out as? Not sure why it is even called clear since it is anything but clear. Sadly the amber-issue may be one that brought about the demise of the Melt Art product line which has officially been cancelled by Ranger.

so this tool kinda kills the purpose of having embossing inks and re-fillers and the main use of the heat gun ? I mean on the basis of whole service coverage .. hmm

If your little brother is picking on you, don't take a spoonful of hot melfed UTEE, tackle him down, roll him onto his stomach and pour the hot UTEE on his bare back. Also never take a hot Melting Pot, grab his hand and hold it on the hot surface until he screams so loud that mom, dad, or baby sitter interrupts the fun by yelling at you. Tell them you kept telling him not to mess with the hot Melting Pot but he was being a brat and did it anyway. He'd be in too much pain to tattle on you anyway!
