- This is a tutorial on how to use Vital, a FREE Sound Designing Plugin, to make drum samples. I use Vital to make an 808, Kick, Clap, Snare, High Hat, and an Open Hat. I walk you though every single step so that you can know exactly how to make all of these drums using Vital. I really hope this Vital Tutorial helps you start to sound design some drum samples. If it does, let me know and I can give you some more sound design tips.

Who needs serum when u have vital
I think its easier to find serum presets if you don't sound design idk I just need some hyperpop Lil uzi type vital presets
@vxsha vx I definitely wanna learn sound design eventually but rn my focus is making beats so I use presets
Virtual riot maybe?
Since I found this video crazy helpful:
00:27 - 808
05:24 - Kick
07:12 - Clap
10:37 - Snare
14:22 - HH
15:55 - OH
P.S. Thanks for making this video for those who doesn't wanna buy Serum but see EXTREME value in VITAL
tysm
Everyone's talking about how great vital is, but this dude just made a sick vid
It only needs image synthesis distortion and that's it
On the closed hat, I think you (he) changed the LFO envelope from the shape he first set it to and didn't tell anyone or explain. Don't make tutorials if you aren't gonna explain stuff. Otherwise, you are just on here to make YOURSELF look good. Hey look at me. I can use a synth. Do you want to look cool or do you want to be useful?
WHERE’S THE CRASH CYMBALS AND RIDE CYMBAL? I’ve seen 1 person do it.
this is what i call GOOD CONTENT, thanks for the video Bongozo.
cant stop listening ua-cam.com/video/xlBInB7BOzE/v-deo.html
thanks
i think what's happening when you put a high pass really low is essentially you're reducing DC offset in favor of harmonic detail. probably a tilt eq would be ideal... I wonder if there's a DC offset removal plugin with like one control for the RMS or something. Such a plugin should technically be more precise than trying to mess around with a wideband equalizer, though the returns may only be worth it for really clinical purposes.
You seem to be more qualified to answer this question than I am
Surge synth
It's also free
Respect for pointing out the argument from authority. George Washington said you should always do that
Very nice clap 👏 vital great plugin
yoooo this is a great video bro, i learned a lot of stuff!! only thing i'd say is slow down a bit and explain each step because I noticed you skipped over some steps in a few parts which were kinda fundamental to reaching the desired sound. I was able to figure it out since i've been doing music for awhile but for a complete beginner they'd probably be so confused xD coming from experience lmfao
Thanks. Noted
Hey bongonzo how do I ass effects to sum for a temporary amount of time, I don't want the effect to last the whole beat, just a section. Hope that makes sense
Automation
thanks You
Awesome sounds! Especially like the clap.
Bro this is gold
Can i add some other sound( sound recorded externally) instead of white noice ??
Thanks man, btw, the video glitches and goes nuts in the open hat tutorial moment
Nice video🔥 ...recreating the Roland TR-606 ring/quality its the real deal for 808's sound designer
💯

Ayy man glad you like it
Hey this was really helpful thank you so much! Hope you wanna do more vital tutorials because they are VITAL to me HAhaaaaa..
I see what you did there
I downloaded vital (free version) a while ago but didn't get any patches that were supposed to be there on the patch browser. Any idea how can I get those patches? Or is it possible to download third party presets? Anyway good job bro!! Keep killing it
You gotta make an account from the website and log into the plugin with that account to download the presets
Thank you
How did u learn vital
Great video🔥
Thanks bro
thank you :D
Vital is good
Amazing!
pet just got hit by a car? Vital.
haha
First
💪🔥💪
i swear to god when u said the sound is way worse when u cut it with a 48db/oct ,it wasnt .
its 20 HZ
you cant
hear it
or feel it even in the biggest studio in the world
I dare you to try it yourself. I don't know what the difference is but even if I was blind, I could cut there and hear a difference 20 out of 20 times. I'm not saying I can hear that low but I am saying there is a major difference
