You all prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Colson Stephen Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Sound design had always been a dark art, where synths have been impossible to get your head around, or stuff has been hidden deep in folders. Viral is the first synth that makes me feel confident about designing the kind of sounds I want, mainly retro electronic stuff. I love it. Great video
Smearing with the time knob on delay is something I’ve always loved, basically contracting and expanding the sound with delay . The same way you used freeze on the chorus.
The more I see of Vital, the more impressed I become. This is an extremely useful and creative tutorial - thanks so much. The great thing about acoustic modelling synths is that you get the natural organic sound, but you also get a super-high degree of controllability that's impossible with samples. Best of both worlds. Actually now that gives me an idea. I really want to know what could be done with resonant comb filters applied to real-world samples as well...
l'inglese non è la mia lingua madre e non è facile per me capire, ma per quel poco che comprendo, devo dire che sei molto professionale, tecnico e pieno di inventiva.......!!! Complimenti !!!
Powerful calculations that synth runs, was following along last night, the hftones at the end were exciting dogs in the distance despite low output from my monitors Love your teaching style, "here is the logic, now keep up!" Full power, lets go! XX
I've learned more from you about sound design than anyone else, thanks for all this amazing info, I am simply astounded at how beautiful comb filters can make things
It is really great what can be done in Vital! Gave me a lot of ideas for dark ambient video game music. It seems that you can experiment a lot with Vital and come up with a sound you like.
Oh Lord, how am I going to cope. Got your presets, trying to watch all your Psytrance vids, collecting your Phase Plant vids and now this....there's not enough time§
This has to be one af the most useful tutorials i ever saw. Really easy to understand and you are able to create a ton of really good tones after that. Better than loading all of the preset packs available on the net.
Wow. Those plucks in the beginning (around 7 min.) sounded middle eastern. The panflute sounded almost real. Vital seems able to create almost any sound. I bet that back in the old days, Mike Oldfield could have done a lot with this. Instead of playing several instruments, he could have made them from scratch. Strangely, you kind of remind me of him. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Looking at this video on my phone right now, so I can’t see the exact things you are doing. But this is a new way to make sound for me and I really like it! Thnx, gonna try it as soon as I’m home today!!
Thanks so much for this informative video! I usually never used comb filters, i thought its just a complicated way to have some flanger/phaser effects but its pretty much a huge playground for sound design :D This will change how i use Surge XT (which also has comb filters)
Get your Soothe ready kids! Haha. Really cool tutorial though. Data Broth and Glorkglunk are absolute wizards. Awesome what you've done with it. Inspiring stuff!
Mate. i totally mean it. Your knowledge, experience and skills are incredible. Every of your tutorials is like a show for me. BigUp Dash Glitch once again >>>
Having trouble changing / moving set points in the LFO. Is there a certain technique used to facilitate various shapes? I try to move these points as in the videos with limited success. Using free version.
fun fact I use when I use vital for pad thingy you can use "chorus" all the way up (12 I think) and add the filter the effect tab, and you can change the sounds using the thingy in the bottom of the filter. try it yourself. * you can do this using the default sound from the vital itself (or when you opening vital) - and I know my songs is bad in here but I'm not using vital yet, soo....
Hey Dash, i play guitar and i'm experimenting with delay pedals to find useful sound on comb filter settings. For now, i've only found an use as a "sitar sound", playing oriental scales that resonates with the drone note of that moment... but nothing else that i remember. This video is super awesome! But may be you can do an experiment with pedals? It can be very interesting tooo
The problem i've seen with most pedals is that the time parameter is not accurately pitch controlled via an input so its very difficult to perform. What delay pedal options have a 1v/oct standard pitch control?
@@DashGlitch Normally i don't think you can't control the pitch in relation of how is tuned a guitar or bass, is the tuning that brings the delay pedal itself. I don't know about CV controlled pedals, so idon't know that 1v/oct really means, sorry. Thank you for the reply :)
How does a filter add a massive tail like you were demonstrating with the comb filter... I always throught of filters as taking away things from a sound... is it the resonance that does that?
Is there a kind of numerical cheat sheet that can be used to tune knobs to precision numbers together to get the perfect buttery sound? Because that would be dope! I just started using vital and it can be frustrating, maybe once I have the full picture, the ideas will start happening.
Been trying to emulate a realistic guitar sound. And this guy does it in under 5 minutes with a better method too 🤣 Very useful. To set resonance to 100% and make the filter cut-off equivalent to pitch.
I am astounded by the fact that just changing the shape of the LFO makes you go from some kind of sitar to a pan flute
Amplitude envelope characteristics are a huge part of the psychoacoustics of timbre

@Colson Stephen It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
@Jay Andres You are welcome xD
How does it feel to be the top vital sound design instructor on youtube? Really stellar tutorials! Thank you for putting these together!
I am a physics teacher. I can't tell you how much I appreciate a GOOD tutorial!
That pan flute dude sitting next to a river @8:50
😂😂😂
Man, that guy on the pan flute made it 10x
Those sounds omg are so beautifully haunting

that end product was beautiful. I got lost in my head for a second lol subbed
the more i use it (Vital), the more i like it ! Serum is getting some dust those days ;)
Damn... you created a Japanese Koto (or whatever it's called) from white noise in basically ten seconds!
You have a lot of videos wherein you explain a lot ot, on a very helpful and easy-to-follow manner. Great work en thank you for all of that!
This really opened my eyes in ways to take vital further and make sounds I could never imagine myself creating,
You definitely know how to get the most out of Vital, awesome.
lost it at the video of the pan flute guy
aphex twin must being going crazy with vital.
SO COOL!!! 🤯🔥 thats some real physics playing right there 🤔😨

TIL Vital is a physical modelling synth as well... Sick!!!!
Excellente vidéo qui montre bien les possibilités des filtres en peigne. Merci

heads up for the demo!!! thank you
You bet!
Sounds like a Koto string instrument and flute! awesome video, thanks Dash!!
Wuaaaaa this sound brings me in meditative state! 🤯 Thanks for this video!
Wouuuuw that's realy awesome, thanks.... For sharing knowledge using vital.
Man,,, you create very good sounds very quickly with Vital... very impressive ill be watching you :@

Route oscillator to filter 1 and filter 1 to filter 2, both sync to key.
Now filter 2 cutoff controls the taste of your new FM-like syntheziser 👌

I'm only half way in and am amazed at the sounds I've made with the comb feature.
I love the white hippey
Killer patch, I love using comb filters to create resonante weirdness and strings 🙌
the pan flute killled me xD
i just fucking lost it lmaooooo
I am new to Vital but i like it already, and i was looking for a interesting flute sound so thank You :)
Je parcours tes tutos !!! c'est magique !!! Merci beaucoup !!! Et là, je viens de faire un voyage de fou !!!!!🙃😊
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, great tutorial.
Wow, this is a very good sound design lesson!!!
Deleriant uses that chorus fx on most of his leaads always wondered how he gets those fat staby plucks ! Awesome vid brother
This synth absolutly awesome!!! Love the workflow and surface 🔥😍
One of the most in-deep guides that simply shows how to use a tool :) Great GUIDE !
Thank you for all your videos Dash!
You have finally shown me what I have been looking for!! Been trying to create acoustic guitar sounds! Thank you!
Absolutely sweet. Thank you.
Very cool
This sounds like:
Trentemoller "miss you"
also the Vital Baseline.. Is WOW
very cool mate, i bought your soundbank in a flash when i heard the pads , amazing sound design
vital brought me into sound design. thanx also for your tutorials
Wow...this is what I exactly looked for...(two days before). Awesome timing! ^^ Thank you!
Great synth. You can spend long evenings to creat wicked sounds.

You are either a genius or you have lots and lots of time to explore .
I go with time to explore XD
these videos are dank af bro
This guy deserves more subscribers
Great information 🙏
I never gave much attention to comb filters, but now this is really cool and so instructive! Thank you for sharing
Just awesome!!!
Sometimes it only takes a few seconds of speech to reveal where an oke is from
awe true bru
The final outcome 💣
just getting into Vital, and this was really helpful
thanks :-)
I enjoyed a lot this tutorial dash! But i don't know why i started to bounce the result into a hardstyle reverse bass :^).
You gived me inspiration!
Get your Soothe ready kids! Haha.
Really cool tutorial though. Data Broth and Glorkglunk are absolute wizards. Awesome what you've done with it. Inspiring stuff!
Hey DASH happy new year whats cookin' regards
Happy New Year, Thanks for all of these great tips....Cheers!

@@DashGlitch In a forum someone said that may be a "moog cluster flux" can do that, and may be is related to the karstrongplus sound?
@@shoseinen for this to work, you need accurate pitch tracking for the delay
@@DashGlitch Ah okey. There is a video of the Empress Echosystem pedal that may be is doing karplus strong by itself? Sounds really good
Brilliant video, cheers.
Awesome result!
Great videos! Love ur work. Thank you for sharing ur knowledge. Great teacher by the way ^^
can you make a tutorial on how to make psytrance bassline with vital?
Happy new year professor!
Happy new year mate
amazing
Happy New Year Dash
How does a filter add a massive tail like you were demonstrating with the comb filter... I always throught of filters as taking away things from a sound... is it the resonance that does that?
Yes, but also comb filters are actually delays under-the-hood, so most can get a tuned resonant tail ;)
@@DashGlitch interesting stuff... thanks
Thanks a lot !
Mind Blown, thanks man
Amazing!!! Thanks again!!!

Not really, but generally for tuned parameters, keep them in the octaves, that's about it
7:55
That's pretty close to a harp. What's next? A realistic harp in Vital? (5-20-2021)
Been trying to emulate a realistic guitar sound. And this guy does it in under 5 minutes with a better method too 🤣 Very useful. To set resonance to 100% and make the filter cut-off equivalent to pitch.
panpipes clip cracked me up!
This is like Karplus-Strong right? Really nice technique, I saw both Shep and Databroth do it, the sounds it creates can be super nice!
That is super cool
I like it! Dope atmosphere with the pad
nice, i like this idea
Wow!
I love the format of this video. Advanced and creative!
