@@BlackLotusAudio You bet I did! The most helpful thing was splitting the lfo into three parts, setting the duration to 1/8 everywhere, and using those AMAZING remap features - DATA BROTH has some great tutorials for these too. I made some very dope kick presets today thanks to your masterclass!
@@manthosdamigos Glad to hear that you're making awesome kicks! And we agree, DATA BROTH is a great source for Vital information! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! ❤️
very awesome class, and yes a kick should never be longer than an eight note, except when you're working with Hard Dance Music. Deadmau5 declared that very well in one of his streams in 2021, where he was listening to user submissions on stream and stated: "you should shorten the decay to an 8th note, because they're using low end frequencies [...] kicks don't make bass, kicks make kicks, bass makes bass [...] a kick could be a punchy little transient..."

Started using vital because of this video. Great tutorial, thanks a ton! Saves me scrolling through millions of kick samples to find the perfect one haha
Great video. I'm total beginner and this has been very helpfull in understanding the rational beyond sound design, as well as practical functionality of the tool.

Great video. I'm having a problem where whenever I don't play the kick for the full duration I get a clicking noise at the cutoff. Is there a way to remedy that? Edit: I solved the problem by extending both the Sustain and Release on ENV 1.
listen bro ur sick with everything you do and very helpful but i couldnt make it past the 5 minute mark becuase you kept making this weird sound like auuuhhh and i found it difficult to concentrate when you kept doing it every 20 seconds
4:36 just when i heard that,i knew i was watching the right video.i don't like to use presets and in a few months since i started using vital,i have some cool own sounds, but still using downloaded kicks snares and all the perc.but not anymore,i want my own percs too ahaha tyty My god i almost forget to subscribe
is there a way in vital to make sure the entire envelope is played? when i let go of the keys too early i get a clipping sound and don't have that bassy rolloff. i consider sampling my kick and using the recorded audio file instead of the midi.
Yes! Try adjusting the release on envelope 1 a bit so that the sound keeps playing after the note ends or you let off. You might have to play with the decay a bit too. Hope this helps!
Thank you for a great masterclass! Great materials here!
We're glad that you enjoyed it! ❤️

Hi, How can I tune in C? or in another note?
uuuuhhhh....
