  • Pritty much yes, at these cheap ones I have gotten my hands on are missing a fuse and that could end badly.
Any who, I did muck this video up a far bit, but I do show the insides.

Watched it through to the end, but I don't really get what you're saying. Is there something wrong with the driver circuit in the electronic triac pedals that's bad for the motor? Are the rheostat pedals better if they came with the machine originally? And why? I'm missing a lot of technical details in your video I was expecting. Are the things I should look out for solely connector compatibility and rated voltage?
I have an Anker Model 370 with a rheostat pedal and I noticed it gets hot quickly. I understand why and that's not a problem, but I found that when the resistor gets hot it gets harder to finely tune the speed of my machine. So I bought a triac driver pedal. Works fine and it's easier to tune the machine's speed. Is this bad? Is there a technical detail I should look out for?

This pedal I have in front of myself, has no fuse, that is the big problem. Like I don't know, burning out the motor, kind of bad?
I've looked at a branded bernina foot triac pedel and found that had a built in fuse, this video is more about buying cheap foot pedals from eBay. You don't want to save some money only to make things ten times worse.
