First time I tried a wave painting and was a disaster, I’ll try this one too, hopefully coming a little better, you make it seem soo easy
Well, I just found this channel looking for any videos that recommend a decent amber coloured paint and obviously, amber and painting popped up in the search!! And I'm very glad it did as this was a wonderful tutorial and very applicable to the sort of painting I do (wargames miniatures) and also since I've been thinking about using oils for a while, not that I've had much luck using them so far!

You can try the Gamblins solvent free liquid as a medium. It is an alkyd and slows drying time- solvent free....its like liquin without the smell and toxicity.

hello! i love your paintings and ive been trying to paint a ocean of my own! ive done everything pretty smoothly but im really struggling with the ‘sea foam’ it just looks awkward/out of place and kinda makes it look ‘cartoony’ which isnt really what im going for. Do you have any more in depth tips you wouldnt mind sharing?:)
I use a make up brush to blend out my oil paint colours. It works realy well

Hi, I absolutely LOVE your work. I was wondering if you could go more into detail on doing the tiny waves in the background. I struggle with that and also the highlights on the waves in the front are also hard to know where exactly to put the highlights and how to make them not look like I’m just putting random lines. I am newer to painting and really want to be able to paint half as good as you do. I’ve followed three of your tutorials and my work is not great but I can’t find another artists whose work I want to replicate like I do with yours!❤

Hello i am a new sub. I love oil painting and i also paint whit watercolours. I paint allot in my sketchbook, on canvas panels and on watercolour paper. I find watercolour paper better for oil paint than sketchbook paper. I love you,re painting
