  • Hi everyone! I've listed the materials you'll need below and some links. However, you don't need the exact materials I use, you can just use whatever you've got at home :) I hope you find this tutorial useful! For any beginners who are wondering, I mix the medium with my oil paint to thin it out and increase the drying time. Here I used Poppy oil but you can feel free to use any medium you want (e.g. refine linseed oil or walnut oil).
    Materials List:
    -Canvas/ surface to paint on
    -Blending brush
    www.jacksonsart.com/silver-br... detail brush
    -Medium & fine detail brushes
    -Phthalo blue oil paint
    www.jacksonsart.com/winsor-ne... green oil paint
    www.jacksonsart.com/bob-ross-...
    -Titanium white oil paint
    -Lamp black oil paint
-Poppy oil (but use any medium you'd like)
    www.jacksonsart.com/gamblin-p...
-Pallet knife (but feel free to blend colours with a brush) www.jacksonsart.com/rgm-palet... (I glass from a photo frame but use whatever you have at home)
    -Rag/ Paper Towels
-Brush cleaner for after (I use walnut oil but you can use turpentine/ white spirit as long as you're in a well ventilated space)

Just had a go at this and to say I'm surprisingly pleased with the result would be an understatement, (which can only be down to your amazing tutorial so thanks so much).

Quick question, so does it really matter which kind of black or white paint like titanium white and Chinese white, and Mars black and lamp black, or are they just preferred for the specific painting? Thx! 😊😊

You can, however with acrylic paints as they dry faster than oils it can be harder to work with them, they may require multiple layers to get the desired effect or end result
