  • Water can be a very intimidating subject to paint but I've found my own approach to it which helps me to simplify the process. I hope this gives you some insight into how you can approach painting water!

these are really great tutorials, not just because you're a good artist who knows what they're doing, but because you are able to really explain why and what you are doing in a way that is super helpful. I am able to understand not how you did these 4 paintings, but your base level reasoning behind any water painting and how you would approach that.

Hey Jess, really enjoyed all your study videos, just one thought: for paint alongs or tutorials like this, it can be very helpful to see how you mix the colours / what colours you mix, along with the painting process. I saw you doing this in other videos but just thought I'd mention how helpful it is to see the mixing side of things.

I haven't had any problem with Himi gouache after all this time either it's been 2 years and my gouache is almost used up but doing regular water spray and stir it stays perfect. Some people just want to set it and forget it, it doesn't work like that.
