Tamada's sideboard plan was absolutely insane. Almost his whole sideboard in and choosing to draw -- some crazy preparation must have gone into coming with that plan.

I like Tamada. I like that Finkel duresses him and he shows his hand, but then he's like, "not polite enough," so he goes back and turns the cards around for Finkel, but then he's like, "still not polite enough," so he goes back again and fans them out.

That's incredible to see Finkel still playing so well, even though he doesn't take the game nearly as seriously as he once did 15+ years ago. He's the one guy who the game just can't pass by.
NOTE: I realize he didn't win this match, but top 4 of a Standard Pro Tour is still an incredible feat for the legend of the game.

I was fortunate enough to play a casual game with Jon Finkel and he is intimidating to play because of how fast he plays, and how he presents himself but he was very friendly (but quiet) and I thanked him for the opportunity for the game and it was pretty cool, he helped me after with some game play stuff and he was encouraging but also still in a way that helped me fix a few mistakes down the line

@@H3x2nerd the one on the play is generally who dictates the pace of the game, they play a threat and the one on the draw has to answer it. Tamada's sideboard plan was to go from a midrange deck designed to drop threats, to a deck that can answer whatever Finkel played. Therefore, he gained not only a card for going on the draw, but he gained the ability to react to Finkel, by allowing Finkel to play his threats first.

This was one of the first pro games I ever watched, when I was first getting into mtg. While I didn’t understand everything that was going on, I understood how well Tamada played and how next-level his transformational sideboard was. The flip cards, the graveyard use, the manifests, attacking, counter magic, this game had it all and I was hooked.
I hate watching Arena. Part of me getting hooked on mtg was the art of physically handling the cards.

I DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!!!! Why they dont tap lands like on MTG online? The caster dont explain what the cards do !!! Men this suck!! I like the game but you need to copy heartstone way of cast matches...

I strongly suggest you that you know every single card of these sets in order to understand properly.Usually MTG players who understand and love these matches are the ones that know pretty much most of the cards. If you don't it can be very tricky since they dont even zoom or anything.
