Hey everyone, it has been brought up to our attention that we got the wrong vault here! When Nathan plays his Mox Diamond (1:16), he discards a Vault of Champions. NOT and Mana Vault as we said. Sorry about that! We hope this mistake doesn't affect the experience too negatively.
Hahaha, you should have seen it while i was cutting out all the shuffles! :P Lesson learned for next time, make sure the camera stand is not touching the game table! We will do better next time! :D
magda player couldn't attack with universal automaton (nothing would have changed) cuz it entered the battlefield during that turn with urza saga, so during the main phase 1
Ya, if Magda player had played springleaf drum turns before, I feel like he would’ve been able to make enough treasures to get clock of omens out even without attacking with universal automaton
something could have changed bc you may not push for it if you have only one search. the fact that he had another magda activation coulda gave him the extra protection if someone woulda responded to the first search..... but that may be on his opponents as much as him .....
Hi, I piloted Kinnan here. I have played a lot against two of these players in the pod and, at the time, was struggling to get Kinnan going when I play him out, open to interaction. Playing Kinnan puts a target on my head that, in that specific pod and with all the mana I was presenting, I would rather try and slow it down. Therefore, since I have enough mana for the Fierce anyway, I can keep it up without being forced to use it to protect Kinnan. In the end, I lost the game so maybe playing Kinnan was simply better :/ For context, I started cedh less than a year ago so I am still experimenting with my play patterns and figuring out the world of politics :)
@@danieltihn at 18:45 since you’d already removed the Cage, with what looks like 14 mana available, why had you not activated Kinnan at least twice which could have put more creatures out to tap for more mana and more Kinnan activations to potentially find an answer or flat out win in response?? 😅
@@danieltihn in response to Swords cause I don’t understand the fetch, you (if able) cast another spell to trigger Hullbreaker and bounce the Swords to Plowshares back to opponents hand since “that” would resolve before the swords… Alternatively you can make Mirage Mirror a copy of Hullbreaker, cast a spell and return the original Hullbreaker to your hand as another way to protect. Until the end of turn the Mirror Is a Hullbreaker horror. That you can respond to its own copy effect making it become a copy of a land while still carrying over the “when you cast a Spell” ability the copied Hullbreaker that is now nigh impossible to deal with because mirror is now a land with breaker abilities 😂🤣 ‘Till end of turn….

I still can’t understand why springleaf drum didn’t come back out and make treasures the whole rest of the game. Really heart breaking as a Magda player thinking about how those treasures could’ve affected the game
In lieu of @RegimentJoker comment of too convenient opening hands. With Duncan’s first draw of the game AFTER the FoW there should be 5 cards in hand, at 2:06 Duncan draws 2 cards for turn (7 in hand) plays and “cracks” Scalding Tarn to Fetch. However even At 2:11 narrator states the player Fetches for a land that Does Not Happen but gets shortcut while still playing and paying other cards (6 in hand should be 5) casts Diamond (5 cards in hand should be 4) an without ever fetching from Scalding Tarn he pitches another fetch land Arid Mesa (4 cards in hand should be 3) for Mox diamond stated by narrator “using the land he fetched for to pay for Rhystic” At The 3:00 mark the Players force of will is somehow at the Top of his graveyard over the top of Arid Mesa. 3:15 after casting Narset the remaining hand disappears then returns with the appropriate 2 cards remaining… Magic of Editing or something else🤔🤔
Don't know what to tell you amigo. An opponent cuts after every shuffle :P Plus, mulligans in cedh are aggressive. Players are more likely to keep a great hand of 4 than a mid 7.

discard mana vault? for Mox Diamond? He has to discard a land ?
The player actually discarded a vault of champions (land)
