Awesome! I have to say that you have superb taste in automobiles! I also noticed the StarQuest in the background. I have an 1987 MR2 and a 1988 Conquest TSI as well.
Midnight Outlaws yep just got it running on the Megasquirt MS2! Been working on everything to get it ready to daily drive. Has a lot more low end torque than with the stock ECU.
so with the 7afe is it essentially just a block swap? and are there any extra things you need to do with the engine to make the 2 parts compatible with the aw11
Dusty Maku basically, the block bolts strait in the mr2. You’ll need a different timing belt and 16v 4age timing sprocket. I have a whole build list on my website at pidashs.com/blogs/my-cars/7age-parts-list
Fair enough, I've never built my 4a engine (4ac) so I cant tell either way. Tho My hope would be that my friend buys an mr2 (he's looking at it) and that I can help him build a turbo one

Your gauge cluster is amazing also.
Gambit4u2 haha Thanks! I know some other MR2 owners with StarQuests as well, pretty funny we all choose the same cars lol
Hey man I am the one asking about how easy the head swap is thanks man will be followong this build
mazda092508 awesome! Thanks!😁
Hi it looks good what kind taming belt u use
Thanks! this is the timing belt part number: MEL-B-0111
This is wicked, i want to do this with my aw11! Do you still have it? how does it feel?

what trans are you running? im swapping my ae101 after Christmas and trying to get everything ill need
Dope. XB just the stock c50
What was your budget in doing all of this? Love the car!
JM A this cost around $500 to do
Wow that's dirt cheap! I see you've put a turbo on. What was the budget for that?
Why did you choose the 7age over the 4age?
Jonathan Gardner 7AGE has more torque at lower RPM and is a lot easier to find 7A blocks than it is to find 4A
Fair enough, I've never built my 4a engine (4ac) so I cant tell either way. Tho My hope would be that my friend buys an mr2 (he's looking at it) and that I can help him build a turbo one
Jonathan Gardner hell yea! I have a 4AGTE in my other MR2
I would be Turboing my car... but rust and state inspection basicly is taking it from me. Now I'm parting it out.
Hey are you used a programmable ECU or the 4A or 7A ECU?
Erazer 13 I’m using a megasquirt, I was running the stock ecu for a few months though
@@NickPahls Thanks for the fast answer! Also planing to swap the 7A-FE in my Celica to 7-AGE and maybe later even to 7A-GTE.
How much hp..
twincammike83 16v around 120hp and 120tq lol. Nothing aftermarket on it yet
¿No es un poco coñazo el conducir casi sin la luna de adelante? 🤣👍
What different from a 4-age ? Newbie lool
Jang.7 _ the block. This is using a 7afe block which is a 1.8l with a 4age head so it’s like a stroker 4age.
@@NickPahls i see..thanks for the explanation
get a windshield lol
Dennis Vanderben got one now lol
