Like the build I built a 7age with a black top 20v head I used mrp h beam rods and cranck sprocket and cambelt. After having a 7age vs my old 4age it's so much better with more torque through the rev range I and it's all there around 7500 rpm doesn't have to rev as har as it gos to get power . think it would be better with bigger cams and possibly a ecu it easily go over 200hp. Awesome putting it on UA-cam and searing it. As soon as you say 7age people go oh that's bad but I think it's a lack of knowledge about building them they awesome engines. Barry at mrp makes a 1.9 stroker kit to fit the 7a block. Hes races one has around 640hp one of nz fastest
havent started mine yet. have the two blocks though. still trying to figure out what parts i want for this apart from the conversion kit from mrp. would i reuse the old pistons or get fresh/forged ones and so on
@@slow_carsgarage7422 mine worked out to a .21mm but I may have had a decked block to start with as it was not the first rebuild before I picked it up.
I actually am currently in the process of trying to build a 7age for my celica is there anyway other then comments that I can get in contact with you guys im new to this whole engine building stuff
Hey so 3 years later follow up. How did it go. I'm planning on doing the same, in my 94 Celica. Ive been trying to find info, on people doing this in celicas but theres very little. Like how does the ac still work, the power steering that kind of thing. Please let me know

We here used piston honda type R 81mm high comprastion,metal gasket we used 2pcs..rmp can achive 11000..😄😄so far so good..

I have been running this exact bottom end setup in my 86 aw11 the last 4 years and love it. How is the 7a comming along for you.
P are you using the max speed rods as well?
Yeah max speeding rods and king bearings! It's a beast!
@@onemancarlot did the max speed Rods compensate for the .5 mm deck height or did u deck ur head?

How is the quality on those maxpeedingrods?
How much do those Maxspeedingrods conrods weigh? Are they much heavier than stock rods?

Didn't compare but I imagine definitely heavier. Factory are quite weak.
