    Fantastic.
It feels like you're trying to feed a hungry, angry monster. Sometimes you manage to calm it down, and sometimes it doesn't quite seem satisfied.

I can't get through most "synth jams" on youtube all the way through without my attention drifting. This is the only one that I've not just been completely enthralled by, but also immediately restarted as soon as it was done.
This isn't just the best Mother-32/DFAM video on the net, this is one of the best synth videos I've seen online, period. I agree with everyone who says that Moog needs to highlight this. Having read about these devices as well as heard some really awful demos, there's no way I'd believe this came from the same synths - this is really using the instruments to their full potential, and it's a system seller.

    Best. Dfam. Demo. Ever.
    U Sir, are a master.
The way your drums dropped and came back in was MUSICAL
Most of these videos have an AIMLESS, MEANDERING RANDOM vibe to them, but this felt like song structures were happening
    My dfam arrives Monday
    CAN'T WAIT!!
    Well done

I've been trying to plan a modular setup for self-accompaniment. I'm a singer songwriter guitarist who can't play anymore (fingertip pain). But I can push buttons and turn dials. Modular is attractive, but is gonna be way more expensive and complicated for what I want to do. It think you've shown me the way. Thanks man.

I too am a guitarist beginning my semi modular electronic journey and I just wanted to say everything about the progression from guitar to the electronic world seems natural! By incorporating the knowledge you already have, you will not only be sonically refreshed in this new world but also be having a freaking blast in it!! Don't ever stop creating brotha!

I love the return of the familiar "Gelsi Riff" at around 8:40. The layers are fascinating! It's hard to believe this is all just from a DFAM percussion synth, a couple of monosynths, and the gorgeous Big Sky. Is a sequencer the only off-camera thing? Extremely well done! Where the hell is the tip jar?

Mothers not required to have a blast with the DFAM! I've been spending a lot of time working on melodic stuff with the DFAM. There's a lifetime of exploring inside that box.

  • @Rocktofakie
    @Rocktofakie 2 роки тому

To repeat previous comments; this is definitely the best demonstration of how you actually ‘play’ these instruments. Especially the DFAM. Thanks for making the video! 🙏🏼
Can I ask how you approach keeping the DFAM in tune with the other synthesisers and still manage to tweak and vary the patch to keep the sequence evolving and interesting?
Are you maybe tuning the VCO’s to the key of your song and then leaving alone when playing. Then patching the pitch settings of the sequencer to somewhere else other than pitch… Say to the filter? 🤔
Sorry if this is obvious and I’m missing it. I desperately want to get the DFAM but it’s not knowing this that is holding me back.
    Hope you can help! 🤞🏼
