Hello everybody! I recorded this live so you get to see how it was made. It's kind of a tutorial but instead of explaining I just show you. Scroll down for more details. It's very simple so there is not much variation except for the transposition of the sequences.
00:00 First I program a melody into the sequencer. 00:30 Add delay. 00:40 Add Valhalla Shimmer reverb. 00:46 transpose the sequence. 01:05 Trying to find matching notes to add in to the sequencer on the second M32. 01:30 Adjusting the tempo 01:40 Adding Crystallizer effect. 01:50 adding reverb. After that I just play around with the knobs. 05:50 replace the sequence on the second mother 32 because it was getting boring.
The synths are hooked up to FL Studio via Scarlett 2i2 audio interface to their own individual FX tracks to give me more control over the sound. Mainly the reverb wetness.
VST effects used: Tal Dub Delay 2, Valhalla Shimmer & Soundtoys Crystallizer.

I was thinking about a DFAM, M32, and what else to fill out the rack. I think and extra M32 might be the answer. That sounded great. Thanks for sharing a lot of things, it's awesome af.

I've been watching Mother 32 videos for weeks, this one is just now coming up but it's one of my favorites. I don't know why but I love the simple, soft patches. I think it really lets you hear the purity of the analog components rather than just noodling.

Very impressive. Another example of how synths are only half the sound, processing with effects and signal processors make a good composition and sequence come alive.

What an amazing pair of kits you’ve got.
And so rare. More rare every day.
I had an SDSV kit back in the early 80’s, but after a handful of years I sold it to buy a Sequential Circuits Studio 440, which was Dave Smith’s predecessor to the MPC-60. So that worked out for me.
    … but I always wanted an SDS7 kit…. 😢

that Valhalla Shimmer it's on another plain of existence it takes (it) the tone the frequency to cinematic epic trance levels
you need to log book + graph all your sequencer jams
so as to get perfect segways from one feel to another a kind of map of the sonic.
for going from one landscape to another seamlessly, better than memory and luck.
    just a thought 🤔👍

Sometimes I wish I had a setup like this, so I could play with this all day.
The only synthesizer I've ever touched..... actually I don't think ive ever touched a synthesizer.
I'm just stuck with a DAW.
Amazing live performance though! Valhalla Reverb makes everything sound epic.

    • @RemixSample
      @RemixSample  4 роки тому +1

Thanks! You could set up a similar template in your DAW. Load up two synths you like with separate effect channels and midi map the knobs on the synth to any type of controller. It's the exactly the same but it's close enough for a fun jam.
