I feel that, I've been thinking about uploading a full NG playthru (sped up when traveling) where I get full Flask upgrades, smithing Stone bell bearings, and often used spells/talismans. Is that something you'd be interested in?
It's been a long frustrating week but I can finally comment that I beat the game. The hardest fight was malenia but this build helped a lot. Can't wait to see your future content.
@Yousetii Awesome to hear! The first time I beat Malenia it took me so long that I had to call it quits and beat her the next day lol. hardest boss in the series imo. Glad the build was a help!
Oh, man, I stumble through, but I always end up wearing the Carian set and blue hood. Finally trying something different with the weapon builds I started because of you - Dragon Halberd and Lightning Zweihander. No matter how much I like a game, my mind turns off when I play it. Can't use decent tactics, no theorycrafting for sure, and I explore based purely on vibes. This is practically the first time I've bothered putting any thought in.
Glad to hear you're trying some of the builds!:) If I'm not going for any look in particular, Carian Knight set is always my go-to! Tbh exploring off vibes is one of the best ways to play. When I did my NO HUD playthru, I just wandered around Leyndell for like an hour just because I felt like it. This is a great game to get lost in!
imo you undersold the build aspect here, because this is a pure dex build where you just happened to be running the uchi. A benefit of starting as samurai is that you can pick up a second uchi in Limgrave, and with blood infusion it'll still scale well with dex. There's also some reason to think about changing Ashes of War despite unsheathe being pretty strong. Double slash gives you a homemade corpse piler from Rivers of Blood at much lower FP cost, and it's an option worth considering as the skill comes out in three stages with three inputs. There's also a few others that can help you deal hits quickly to proc bleed. I think this format of video works really well for a different build. As it stands, this is a reminder to pick up golden seeds because the dex uchi build amounts to levelling vigor and dex while keeping a starting weapon. So my feedback is: this video is definitively okay, but it's not worth your effort to capture footage, record voice, and edit to describe the journey of a starting weapon with no deviation in the build.
Scaling is a bit better (E for STR on keen) , lack of places to invest stats elsewhere, and keen just feels right on the Uchi lol. If I was going for a higher level or some investment in Faith or Int, heavy and STR would likely be the better call!
LETS GOO!! Freshman year lore babyyy!
As a new player this video is way too fast and kinda confusing to understand 😭

do it@@the_jersey_side
Did my first ever play through as a samurai and ran the uchi all the way until i got the hand of malenia. Katanas will forever have nostalgia for this
Fr and the unsheathe as of war is so basic yet so good, and you dont even need any fancy lightning or blood ashes
as samurai / katana user.. i love this vid.. ❤
Fantastic video man, your pacing and editing is great.
Thanks! This was a long one, and I wanted to make sure it kept pace with the other uploads!
Wanted to start my first play through of elden ring and this looks like the perfect build for me. Just subbed keep up the good work.
Thanks man! The Uchi and 40 Vigor is a solid way to start!

What were your stats in the end of this video?
Was this also a Ranni's quest walkthrough in disguise?
As someone who's married her 105 times now, I won't deny that!
why not heavy infuse if you are gonna two hand
