Excellent! As a new player trying to find accurate up to date information is a nightmare with all of the patches nerfing or buffing equipment. I was searching to see if the guardian mask was still good for a bleed build when lo and behold I find this excellent video. Not only do I see you have the mask, but your build is almost completely like mine so I'm learning how to tweak my set. Dual wield, nagakiba with bloodflame and golden vow, frost katana in the left hand. Great video

This was the build I made on my first playthrough. I was just experimenting and I just finished Bloodborne. So that play style crossed over pretty well.

Used a certain build from a different creator. It was almost till I got to mid-end game. Then I another build he set up for awhile for the end game and it just wasnt working for me. Then I came across your video and not only is this more my type, but the game is a lot more fun because of it. I've been able to solo most of my bosses without overpowering the game too much to the point where is isn't enjoyable and the aesthetics of this build alone is worth doing it. Thank you for this!

1st time playing the game since i backlogged it. Never played a souls game, but lots of rpgs. I wanted to use a Katana. 10 hours in, I only have two talisman slots so far, so i have a ways to go, but already this build makes sense, and feels fun. It really helped me understand the build aspect of the game from being a complete noob. Thank you!
Build complete! RL 155 so far and acquired everything besides the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia on NG+. Now I'll take out Mohg for DLC prep, and go explore every corner of the map at my own pace.
I’m usually a timid dark souls player. I usually just have 2 weapons in rotation (which obliterates the enemies). I finally built the confidence to start “experimenting” and double wielded katanas. Wayyy different playstyle. Not such a good idea practicing in the haligtree area, but it’s so much fun.
Stepping out of our comfort zone is where true growth begins. Embracing new playstyles adds depth to your experience. Keep pushing your boundaries and enjoy the journey! Praise the sun.

I did basically this exact same build for my second ever play through of the game only I used rivers with the nagakiba, and I’m pretty sure I put a pretty big focus on arcane for it and the build slapped fucking hard and I love it lmao.

Nice job I have one thing to say tho and this is for those who go down this path: maybe increase Mind to be able to use consecutive helpful bits of FP to effectively use, Flame Grant me Strength and your Ash for as long as needed or to rebuff. That is my one thing I would change because its useful in a pinch (saying from experience).

Sick build, dude. I was looking for a solid nagakiba build and this is my favorite. Took out both of the Tree Sentinels and the Tree Spirit with ease in Altus Plateau. I'm definitely subbing for other builds.

@@Teah8cbdude No, there's a way to fight them one at a time. I would say maybe level 70 or at least around there. The only difficult part of that fight is having to kill both of them before clearing the fight.

This guide is great! Definitely trying this one for my 4th run. I do have to say after doing three runs and coming back to this game after a couple years it's really annoying how much it's change between all the patches and trying to catch up feels like I need a PHD. LOL
There were certainly significant changes between the Elden Ring we had in February 2022 and the ER we have now.

As a new player I’ve made a lot of notes on various samurai style builds including a hvy faith style. This one seems the most friendly and flexible as it is able to switch to quality from keen later I like that. Now that the academy is unlocked I can adjust my stats. I will put a little more into FP just for summons etc though, sometimes there’s not much time to drink more juice on the run. For some of the talismans I don’t have I’ll improvise until I have them. I’m at lvl 105 so should have the points …

I still remember the fashion i used bare in mind this was when the game first came out I ran a dragon spell build, was like a dragon/bleed arcane mix the outfit i ran was Iron Kasa Drakeblood armor samurai legs and iron gauntlets gave off a really good dragon samurai vibe

Indeed you can have it running with Reduvia although in that case you will have to invest in Arcane to see meanigful results. I promise I will create such build in the near future. I’m just playing this game for the first time and trying to find something that fits my play style. I want to do this build but I don’t have access to the talismans you listed yet. I’m only level 80. Would green turtle, radagans seal and winged sword be okay until later on?

Great build and guide although I dont quite know where you are getting the numbers from when having the Ronins gear and other stuff eqquiped as the numbers are for sure not that high in game. Im yet to find anything that can beat Rodahns gear for the stats and the weight.

just got elden ring, never played a souls game before besides bloodborne (only played a few times at a friends house) so def hoping that this can help since i have no idea on how to build my samurai or what to do in the game lol

It uses primarily stamina with low cost fp
Dont use the soreseal past a certain level, It will have diminishing returns because of soft caps, and 15% is a pretty large amount
Really helpful guide, 1st time souls with this build and right now im progressing at Raya Lucaria with Nagakiba and dragon comunion seal. One question, i cant summon the best spirit ashes (luthel and banished knights) because i dont have enough FP ¿its worth to invest some points in Mind to increase FP pool until mimic ? thanks

I kinda touched on this in the video 16:25.
Eventually, you will not gain any more attack power with the keen affinity because of the dexterity hard cap at 99. Because of that, you switch to quality affinity and boost both strength and dexterity.

Hi, thank you for this guide, it really helped me complete the game. Whole build was OP and fun for me :). I already finished first game and started with the new game+. I also obtained hand of malenia. I am now on lvl 155. Which weapon would be great for the second run ? Continue with hand of malenia or keep nagakiba ? In the first run I used dragon seal in left and nagakiba +25 in right hand. The best option is use uchigatana and nagakiba ? Thanks
Keep using the Nagakiba, the reach of the weapon is just too good to pass on. You can just use the Hand of Malenia in the left hand to use the Waterfowl Dance skill from time to time to keep things fresh. You can also make some investment in Arcane (~45) and start using Rivers of Blood as your main weapon instead of the Nagakiba. Thanks for watching and gl on your 2nd playthrough.

I've seen many bleed builds that upgrade arcane attribute to boost bleed stacking, would you recomend that for this build? Nice video btw :)
Arcane won't contribute to this build; it only boosts Hemorrhage build-up when the weapon has Arcane scaling, and ours doesn't. While you could switch the weapon affinity to Blood and raise Arcane to 40-45 for somewhat similar results (though not as powerful), it fundamentally changes the build. For instance, you won't be able to use the blood flame blade weapon buff. Appreciate your support and am glad you enjoyed the video! 😊

Is there any dex faith build with a katana as the main weapon? I feel like reliying only on a weapon might not be the best idea against other players
