The official gameplay trailer completely killed any interest I had in this game... but after watching this video I think I'll give it a chance. Fromsoft is my favorite dev company, and this definitely looks like they took some notes. Idk wtf they were thinking with that gameplay trailer tho... it makes it look super slow, clunky, dull and boring. Plus there is no music so it's just silent and bland the whole time... really weird presentation.

I like pair the axe talisman and the endure ash of war. I tank the first hit then punish them with my attack

Wing of Astel is crazy powerful. You can build it for it unique ranged R2 or the Ash of War both will do tons of damage and stagger any most things quickly

This one is the best hornsent weapon hands down (not that it's really hard). If you want to try curved swords, I suggest wing of Astel, it has a cool unique charged R2, a devastating aow and is very strong on an Int build

yeah playing dual curved swords made me realize how absolutely insane successive attack power boosts are. Falx seems cool but I guess it's kinda the same as any other paired curved sword build - though actually, now that I think about it, only paired weapons like falx (unlike normal weapons that can be powerstanced but are normally 2 handed when you activate two handing) have access to both the dual-weapon moveset AND blocking with the left hand weapon for deflecting hardtear, which is nice. oh and the natural bleed is actually surprisingly uncommon and good. scavenger's curved sword used to be notorious but not so much anymore, and its AR is really poor; overall, the biggest relevance of bleed is just procing lord of blood's exultation and white mask at most, rather than bleed damage itself, because the amount of damage you end up with is so fast you'll just kill the boss before getting a bunch of bleeds.

Curved Swords have some of my favourite movesets. I would recommend checking out the mantis blade. It has baby range, but the unfolding heavy is just so fun and can be surprisingly effective. (Especially if you focus your build on that)

I swear there is supposed to be a limited amount of projectiles that can hit at once in most of these types of ash of wars, not the claws of night though, I managed to beat radahn with ash of war spam with this weapon, when a double twinblade bleed machine failed

Admittedly, I've only ever used SRS for farming Runes but I've had a weird idea of a Holy build where it's used as a secondary weapon with the Inseparable Sword. SRS can be used for groups and AoE, while ISS for single-targets. They scale predominantly with Faith too. It'll also give the build access to powerstancing - which can cancel out the high negation by end-game bosses - when you stack all the elemental buffs and Golden Vow.

i was just testing the weapon out on my first playthrough yesterday and ended up killing Malenia in my 3rd try. I was abit disappointed as I still wanted to fight her especially with other weapons. oh well

Its also the fastest colossal sword moveset.

I use this with a carina retaliation shield for a parry spellcasting build. It’s nice for open world as well :)

If you combine this with another rapier with bleed then I’m pretty sure you can use bleed, rot AND frost at the exact same time so basically 3 different kinds of attack dmg

Yall are gonna hate that I found this knight randomly and it dropped the sword first time. I had put 200hrs into this game before I let myself look at any youtube videos, and I'm happily suprised that everyone else likes the sword too! Though I like it because the swings end in stances which makes tons more sense. I also just found the banished knights sword and have been upgrading that one. Sure it has less reach, that's actually what I wanted. Less bounce off walls in close quarters. Ultimately I love how many different weapons there are and the way that unique playstyles can be made.

blood tax is also good if you rather have a bloody milady, it heals you perfect for vamp builds

The Gut's Greatsword is still superior and more Iconic in every way. But what I love about the Zweihander better it's realistic.

Spear talisman may also be a good alternative to axe talisman, esp in fights without time for charged heavies/using more rolling attacks
