We take the Kyosho Inferno NEO 3.0 out to the local BMX track to turn some laps and see how it performs!

Nitro never fails to put a smile on my face! 🙂 Fast car but you might be able to get a little more out of her, still. I would be interested to see what kind of temps you were running, maybe try leaning her out a bit? Handling is also good but diffs definitely need thicker fluid, especially in the front, as you seem to be lacking forward traction. As for damping, hard to tell if it's good, the Neo is not exactly a basher. Judging by how the rear end is coming up on the jumps though, I'd guess the rear shocks are likely underdamped and slapping on the face of the jump. Overall, fun little car, and a great way to get into 1/8-scale nitro 👍
replace the plastic spur and buy the extra gears for the diffs and oil em as stock they have grease in and not alot i also replaced the bushing in the steering colum with bearings and your good to go
Thanks for the tips, already did half of that stuff! Also the MP9 air filter.
@@RazorRC also anti roll bars from the 9 fit i used to have a mp7.5 made it look like a neo 3 great car to start i now race a mp9 TKI4 kit with a B2101 ty tessmann edition i have a readyset mp9 i use to bash with there all on my you tube
I have the electric version of this and its such a fun buggy , watching you run that nitro is awesome 👌🏻
it was fun, such a great place for a 1/8 nitro buggy
@@RazorRC id never want to leave that spot
Nice video once again mate love the nitro sound 👍
Always wondered how well that buggy would run. Great vid
Hey!
Love it. I’m a big kyosho fan though! Look forward to your thoughts on the new max wagon. From what I’ve seen im bit disappointed. I’ll wait and see what you, RC driver, JayTee and Tony (ccxrc) though!
I probably will not get one.
@@RazorRC well, I guess that says enough.
I do really enjoy my Man Van VE. But I’ve kept it stock. I don’t send it. And if I’m using 3s it’s more carefully than with 2s. I raced some stock slash guys (first time on a track - they’d just bought the trucks etc) with it and it was hilarious. I lost badly. And they were bad drivers. But MAN it was fun! 🤗
Thx for the consistent vids 👊🏼
Is there anything better than an 1/8 scale buggy? Why yes, an 1/8 scale truggy! I should have mentioned earlier that kyosho has the gear mesh set very poorly on all my nitro kyosho models. The plastic spur will last much longer if you get that mesh right on. They have it a mile out.
Yeah it was a little loose from the start, but it held up through break-in, was a little surprised it broke that easily. Motor did not move.
Definitely looks to handle well. You can tell it’s more racer then basher.
I would be curious to see what the stack up in lap times between this and the equivalent brushless version would be, geared for the same top speed, around the same track, on the same day, with the same driver, and suspension tune. Would be a really cool comparison!
You can check out any of the 1/8 races (like Wicked Weekend going on now), 4S electric is very slightly faster than nitro on the same track with the same drivers and cars. Like 1-2% faster.
whats the part number for the spur gear? i just ordered the buggy and want that!
Where is this track? Looks awesome
Nice got to love a good nitro rc truck 👍👍
LOVE NITRO!
That is the perfect surface to run nitro :)
I'm super lucky to have this place, the best part is nobody's ever there, so there's nobody to annoy with all the noise!
I cant understand why they dont fit a steel spur in the nitro Inferno, when the brushless version come stock with steel spur.
Even the st truggy version has steel. I'd gladly pay the extra few bucks, but i guess they have to meet prices.
Weird, but I was prepared for it at least!
A friend got the other RTR Kyosho Nitro Buggy last year... MP9 I think it was.... I seemed like a pretty good rig for an RTR ...
Nice, I've got my eye on that one too
Neat buggy. Sounds good 👍🏻
Seems super nose heavy or are you hitting brakes too hard in the air?
it's a bit nose heavy, definitely have to stay on throttle in the air to keep it level
do they have a two speed option?
no
The Inferno GT2 and GT3 are both 2 speed but weather it could be used on a buggy is another issue.
PAUSE: Guess, stripped spur gear.. plastic..
