Hey bro, I appreciate the video. However there’s a couple things that you said that are wrong. First and most important NEVER start the engine in any nitro model with the radio system off. Always turn the transmitter on first then the car. If you don’t turn them on and for some strange reason the engine goes to wide open throttle you have ZERO chance of controlling the car because the radio system isn’t on. That could lead to property damage as well as injuries to yourself or someone else. So always turn the radio system on. Transmitter first. Secondly never shut the engine off by plugging the exhaust. You could burn yourself because that muffler is very hot and most Importantly you’re flooding the engine with fuel which at the very least will make the engine hard to start but you could also cause damage to the engine by hydro locking it and causing internal damage. And finally I’m not certain what Kyoshos’s specific break in procedure is but I’m pretty sure it’s not just letting it idle for three tanks of fuel. I’ve had and still have several nitro fuel models and the break in procedure has always been a gradual increase in throttle as you go through tanks of fuel. The first tank is idle only. The second is quarter throttle and you proceed a quarter throttle with each tank until you worked your way up to full throttle but still not holding it wide open. But to be certain always follow the manufacturer’s recommendation for engine break in. Again I appreciate the video but please do more research before making instructional videos, as many people are watching these videos to learn how to properly break in their engines and run the model. I’d hate to see some kid destroy his brand new model because he followed the wrong instructions.
ur idle is fine btw! first turn radio and car on before starting the engine and when you are about to leave either use all the fuel and let the engine turn off on its own or squeeze the fuel line cause leaving fuel in the engine for long periods it will absorb moisture and rust it, oh and if you leave the car for longer than a month use some drops of after run oil on the piston and in the carburator to protect it. this buggy is amazing if you tune both HS and LS needles! have fun!
"The speed srew" restrics the fuel intake into engine, turn in 1/8 Increments and do speed run. Should notice each time it gets better and better stop when engine at peak performance, can back it out a tad to be on the safe side.
Lol i was watching this and i was like man that place looks familiar. Then i realized that in the middle of that skate area you are at is where my friends and i setup a BBQ pit and had a BBQ in the middle of the skate park lmao. Nice video though thinking of picking one of these up.
So to run it rich you have to turn the flatehead to the left and let it sit for 3 full tanks then its good to go? Cause others vehicles have you drive it at a certain idle then slightly increase from there. I wanna get one of these soon and I wanna do it right
Thanks for the video! thinking about this for my first nitro as well. You have to buy a glow plug along with the car? im getting the nitro started kit that comes with the glow plug ignitor but that is different than the glow plug right?
Always turn the transmitter on first, make minor throttle idle adjustments with the trim setting on the transmitter, not the carb. The top screw is the fuel mixture adjustment screw and does not directly set your top speed. Lastly, your engine uses Nitro Methane for fuel. Not Gasoline. Thank you for posting!
I have heard of people using rhino liner spray on the inside of the body or drywall tape and take shoe goo to stick it down Kevin Talbott does this in hiss videos
Lol 😝 he said GLOW PLUGBso fast that it sounded like BUTT PLUG to me. Like what does that have to do with RCing!? Damn, Where is my head (giggity……sorry) this morning?
does not seem rich no blue smoke did u take out the air restrictor in the carb. cause i have the red one aswell and mine is rapid but blows loads a smoke
Electric: charge batteries and go Nitro: also charge batteries, have fuel, have spare glow plugs, have tools to adjust carb and change glow plugs, have starter system for motor, IF it cranks, baby it until it warms up (about half a tank), constantly adjust carb especially if ambient temperature changes or a cloud passes overhead, adjust slipper clutch that has a lock nut but still loosens itself somehow, drive car around until it's really far away and cuts off
I GOT this kyosho 3.0, when its time to change batteries u understand It from the response of the car, when u push the accelerator for example It response a bit later. This sign mean that its time to charge batteries of the car. (About the radio its Better change them every 3h max 4h, Just to be sure, It obyusly depend from batteries too)
Electric rc plug in and go 70mph. Nitro rc constantly screw with it and it only runs right a few pulls out of several tanks Which is more fun? Nitro, hands down
Lol funny my 1/12 scale runs 2S and is faster but electric is power on demand. I do love the sound of the fuel but I bet it's way cheaper to have electric as daily hobby fun opposed to nitro. My car maxes 80km/h for the moment.

oh the video was like a year ago... u prob know all these by now just ignore my comment >.>
now i can remember when i was middle school student in early 2000 i was young

Thank you!!
I just sold an FWO6 by Kyosho. A solid road car. This looks cleeeean. Nice video!
That's an awesome little rig 👍🍻
That beast is so loud 🔥🔥🔥

Lol that’s cool. I wish I still lived nearby but I moved
Just got one great timing on the vid👍 I think I'm gonna break mine in a little more than you did tho😂
i just got mine😍💯😍love it
Good video making me want one.
A good spur I found is the IFW310 for me it was cheaper than the IF245 too
Thanks!
Got one too. A good rig for the money, some minor upgrades and you can send it😀
What upgrades would you do? Or did you do?
@@earlyculyer4103 starting with 4spider diffs, sway bars, some Aluminum parts. But first and foremost the diffs
@@chiconmy1515 are those this made for this car or they could be put in any car? Could you send me a link trying to learn.
@@earlyculyer4103 look either for neo 3 parts or mp7.5/777
Nitro fuel is methanol (wood alcohol), and nitromethane. You can run methanol and oil for a 0% fuel. And it still rips fast.

Thanks for the infos, help me alote . Cheers
Bro today I gave it he'll and it did not brake it went from my least favorite to #2 real quick also never use 4 double A power pack all day
Doesn't look like you followed the break in procedure..
What did he do wrong? I just got one what do I need to do?
@@antoniobove9827 it's in the manual.
ive had a tmaxx for 4 years and i still cant figure it out🤣
Thanks for the video! thinking about this for my first nitro as well. You have to buy a glow plug along with the car? im getting the nitro started kit that comes with the glow plug ignitor but that is different than the glow plug right?
Yes everything else comes separate. The protek starter kit is not bad 👍🏼
@@kgrc0078 Thanks very much!
We should get together and run I live in centennial too

How long does it take to run 1 tank then ? You never said that in the video, 20 min ? So around 1 hour before you can run it :D ?
Great buggy 👍
i had to open the tx and re solder the throttle wires (DIDNT WORK OUT OF THE BOX ) ..QC IN THESE RTR ARE BAD . BUT IN THE END ITS GOOD START BUGGEY
Wow great....
yes, but how can u get it on 1st try? did you warm up the engine before? or did you started it from cold?
Very cool
Great vid. How is the parts support here in the USA? Thanks.
You have a couple small distributers and 1 major distributer and that is kyosho america
awesome car, 1 or 2 speeds?
A friend of mine wanted sixty pounds for his inferno and I didn't buy it. It was in perfect order. I'm absolutely gutted I didn't buy it.
That's really heavy for an rc car. Most of mine are under 10 pounds and that's full of fuel. If it's 60 pounds gutted I think I'd look elsewhere

I have to buy some wheels just like that.

I’ve adjusted it some already 👍🏼
Yea, the engine look like its dying, mine do smoke too and run in higher Rpm. Its too much Rich Ur carburation man
Which one is faster these or the electric one not sure which to get. that looks a bit pain in the ass to start n maintain
I would go for electric. Yes, it’s a lot of maintenance. Plus electric is faster.

these are 400 now???
Did you blow threw your spur gear mine didn't last long
It’s brand new. Don’t know yet
250 usd ? Where ?
Are parts easy to come by?
Not as much as other brands. And they’re pricey
Single speed or 2 speed trans?
Most break ins are more then 3 tanks is that what to manual says to do?
I just took advice from the guys who’ve owned nitro for a long time. 4 of them said the same thing
@@kgrc0078 iv always done a 6 tank break in
1. Idle
2.idle
3.idle to 1/4 throttle
4.1/4 to 1/2 throttle
5.1/4 to 3/4 throttle
6. 1/4 to full throttle
Doesn't really matter just make sure you do a full break in
Hey question. How do you prevent fly away. Do you have to change the batteries after each use?

So cringy. "Gasoline" lol started the engine before turning on the radio gear, smh!
