Wow. I remember riding up on this vessel when it was frozen in the ice during the winter of 2006. She's an amazing vessel and I'm so appreciative to see it through your eyes. Thank you!
Brrrrr, I lived up in Iceland for a year, so I know this cold. Being on the water is a whole different level of cold though, as you know after being dragged through the mud by a bunch of fur babies. Im excited for the next journey, it's good to see you away from the Bahamas, onwards and forwards lovely people. Love your videos so much, fellow Aussie here living in California. I never wanted this episode to end, I want to stay for the whole journey.

Incredible vessel! To see the happiness and light in Elayna and Riley’s eyes is infectious. Truly an amazing journey ahead. True explorers! I lived in Sweden as a child and seeing that boat brought me back to my Nordic roots. Love you all❤ Thank you for bringing us along 🙏
Part 2 for the win. Last week was a really good episode. Seeing you guys so happy away from the typical paradise in the Caribbean was super refreshing. Looking forward to the next few months of you guys going to Southwest Asia. And it is going to be so legit when you guys are moved onto the new boat and going on adventures in that part of the world. Cant wait to see it.
The history of that boat is truly amazing . Elayna is such a Beautiful woman inside and out . Her comments are hilarious at times . The boys are getting so big . Thanks for sharing.
A radical departure from your usual and wonderful videos aboard Vagabonde, but I found it absolutely FASCINATING. Great job guys, you gave a superb presentation of all the highlights within the framework of this short video. I especially enjoyed the history parts, just utterly fascinating. Keep up the great work guys, I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
The scenery and commentation by Riley at the beginning of this video is your best yet. Elayna always brings her humour as well. What a fantastic adventure for you both and your little ones! Look forward to your future endeavours in the Arctic. Cheers, travel safely and enjoy every moment. Best wishes from Canadian Colleen.
Wow I got lucky! Just watched part 1 and came to see if part 2 was out yet. Uploaded only 35 mins ago. 💖 This has been incredible to watch. Much love La Vagabonde family.
This was so much fun and exciting to watch. I can’t imagine the exhilaration that you two must be having. What a beautiful ship! They did an incredible job restoring
Elayna and Riley, you’ve been my main source of entertainment while isolating with the plague. Have been following you ever since you took Greta across the Atlantic. You both are remarkable humans, emphasis on human. You’ve seized life and are raising two beautiful spirits to grace the world with their unique perspectives on the world, which surely must be what will happen as they grow up on the trimaran and other boats to follow. Thank you for your humanity, your kind and ethical moral compass, and your generosity of spirit.
Ever since last week when you started this series I have been exited for the adventure to continue and it has with first the initial walk around to moving on board. Now have to wait another week for the sailing part to begin. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a ship. Very interesting tour of that huge vessel. Lot of history to it. You both seem so tickled to be on it and touring around. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks a lot Elena and Riley, cheerio.
Hello I’m an Australian Rigger living in France for a bit over ten years now and started watching your channel recently in the last six months ,I was getting curious about sailing after learning how to sailboard this summer on a French lake feeling quite proud of myself and almost like a Viking and a pirate I looked into learning how to sail a boat and went to UA-cam for a look… cut a long story short came across your videos and got myself a sailing dingy and am feeling so inspired to go even further… Thanks Guys
Don't normally listen to the ads, but I like Elayna's comment "I'm so happy to be living in a time where health and wellness is considered to be 'cool'". Def helps to surround yourself with people who have the same beliefs too.
Great to see this & to see the two of you a bit bamboozeled by all the ropes. This is how I learnt to sail, on Brixham Trawlers, sailing ketches & tall ships, such a great experience. I hope you love this kind of sailing, literally with your very being working the boat. As ever love your vlogs they always leave me wanting more. Take care Vagabond Family.
It's so fantastic that she was saved from that derelict condition and brought back to life so beautifully. As a kid in Memphis Tennessee of all places one of my favorite books was . In the early 70's I was in Oslo in the Fram museum and dreamed of sailing with her. I'm so envious guys. What a wonderful adventure!
That red handle controls the break to stop the anchor and chain from falling. It clamps onto the center axle and looks like there is one each side of the motor in the middle. Super cool to see!
Riley...congratulations on an absolutely brilliant and poignant intro to this vid. Great word smithing. You drew me in and I stayed. Elayna...don't change, you, the family and all its foibles make this epic channel what it is...I journey for all those watching. Stay the course.
Being an old schooner sailor myself, I am very excited about this ship and the adventure you are about to take off on. Your description of the area, the ship and its history thus far has all been fantastic. I can't wait to see the next installments of your sailing adventure.
I’m so excited… I’ve spent the last 6 months “catching up from the beginning” and today is my first ‘real time’ episode! Have loved watching the journey so far. Can’t wait to see what’s next… so glad I’m joining the party just as things are heading for the new trimaran! 🎉
