And now young lady, you have a job to do in the future. When you have children, it's an absolute must that you continue the Floyd legacy by introducing Pink Floyd to them and so on and so on...lol. this was an epic reaction and Pink Floyd deserves nothing less. 💯👍🇨🇦
O.K. young lady brace yourself because this BAND is wonderful, so creative and talented!!! Their music makes you think and feel. I was listening to the, before you were born. Sometimes their music reduces me to tears, sometimes!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
I miss the days when there were talented musicians producing and performing brilliant music. Now we have disposable stars and starlets prancing about singing about who knows what. Brilliant musicians vs Flash in the pans.
You were swept away in the Beauty of the song and transformed...😁😎 Yes watch the Full Concert. Saw them in '77 Animals Tour, Soldier Field Chicago, Super Bowl of Rock-Game#2
A little background of this song, which is sad, they wrote this for their dear friend who had to leave the band, because of mental issues. Syd Barrett was also a gem, but if you get caught in a dark world it's hard to get out of it. This is a testament to people who suffer mental illness. It's a deep song and an honor to their friend. They made a few albums for Syd, btw.
As others have said, the entire Pulse concert was a gem. I had the luck to get tickets for the 1994 Pulse tour when they came here, and the entire show was worth it.
Likewise. On both counts, it was my greatest ever live concert attendance, totally mesmerising. If there was any kind of downside, it is that NOTHING since Earls Court in 1994 has ever come close.
I bought my first Pink Floyd album in 1969 (Ummagumma) and saw them live in 1971 and 4 more times after that. For me This is the BEST band of all times. Now I'm 71 years old and still listen to them everyday.
I love young people who get excited when they first hear Pink Floyd. It's proof that their music is timeless and their lyrics are still relevant. I'm about to turn 60 and I've been listening to them since 1975. And they've been the absolute best for me ever since! Try to listen to anything from this concert and you won't be disappointed. For example, they played the entire album The Dark Side of the Moon as recorded, and of course the then new album The Division Bell. From it I recommend, among others, "High Hopes", where David Gilmour plays steel guitar, or "Coming Back to Life", in which he again plays a great guitar solo.
My 25 yr old son played this song note for note. It was one of his favorites, and mine as well. He passed away 2-14-22 from an accidental overdose. He was an amazing human in so many ways. It took over a year before i ccould listen to this song without losing it. Well. I still do. But i can now play the whole song. I miss my son and best friend every minute of every day. RIP Eddie. Dad misses you more than words can say...
I'm fortunate that I grew up during the begining of classic rock. It all started for me in 1969 and 1970 Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Look at all of the classic Rock bands/Artists that started in the late 60's and early 70's. Great Artists and Great music and you still hear those songs everyday 60 years later.
I was there, and Run Like Hell, was the last to be played, except nobody did, because everyone was buzzing from what they had just seen. I can honestly say, that was the best night of my life.
Most wholesome magical band ever, every person in band seems so humble respectful and reall masters of their craft, true gentlemans with huge respect for Art and Music and Spirit of Humans, you just cant miss it! Best band ever!
the concert was 29 years ago. I was there at the time and am happy about it. unbelievable that there is nothing comparable to this day. all the light effects, the perfection and the sound were breathtaking.
Wish you were here was the start of there encore off the Pulse concert followed by Comfortably Numb Then followed by Run Like Hell.. The cheering was for when they come back on stage before Wish you Were Here. This whole concert will blow you away
Pink Floyd is the best Band of all time, no other Band can compare with them. In my think they are on the same level than Bach, Beethoven or Mozart. Their Musik can´t put in any categorie and they are not only transport Musik to you, also in the same time they send you emotions and feelings. If you want to see a another great guitar solo, then check out "Sorrow" from the same "Pulse" Concert. Greetings from German
I saw them on this tour in Vancouver, BC. 65,000 people all singing along to this song sent shivers up my spine and made my hair stand on end. One of the greatest experiences of my life. Greatest song ever written in my opinion.
For selfish reasons (since I enjoy your reactions), I'd prefer you react to each song of this great concert, one at a time. Start at the beginning (Shine On You Crazy Diamond), then go through the whole set, song by song, in the order they appear. That should keep you busy for quite some time. But you won't regret it, since every song is stunning. And when you're done, you'll have an inkling of what Pink Floyd is all about. But only an inkling, for they have a vast catalogue of songs that stretch all the way back to the late Sixties.
Great reaction. Loved seeing the pure joy on your face. I was fortunate to see Pink Floyd 5 times during their Pulse tour (1994). 3 of the shows were in large stadiums with 65,000-75,000 people. Virtually everyone was singing their hearts out during Wish You Were Here. It was beyond magical. As others have pointed out, this entire concert is amazing. I would recommend watching the entire show start to finish, but a good next reaction would be Run Like Hell, which was the finale. As for clapping vs. screaming - everyone is so busy trying to record the concerts on their phones now, they don't have their hands free to clap. Audiences seemed much more engaged before cell phones became a thing.
Beautiful Inna, if you liked this song, you will definitely love another Pulse song, "Coming back to life". I have the DVD of the show and I've watched it over a million times! Simply amazing! Hugs from Brazil! 🙂👏👏👏👏👏
You might also want to check out "High Hopes" from this concert, as well. But pretty much any song from this concert is a masterpiece, so yeah, I would say do the whole concert. I know I sure enjoyed it when I saw them live on this tour back in 1994. It truly was, as you said, an experience. One of the best in my life.
I realize opinions will differ, but as a watcher, I would come for each separate video of songs from Pulse. I realize you have other matters to think about as a UA-camr/streamer, so I'll go along for the ride. In the meantime, thank you for the reaction. P.S. There is a great live version of their song "On the Turning Away" from a different concert, The Delicate Sound of Thunder--that live version is definitely worth checking out!
Love your reaction, so from the heart! This song too was from the heart. It is about losing the founding frontman Syd Barrett and talented band member to compulsive LSD use and Schizophrenia. Probably not caused directly by the LSD but aggravating his existing mental condition. The song was saying they missed him and wished he was here well and performing with them. 💔
I love watching peoples reaction to Pink Floyd and seeing if its similar to my first reaction when I listened to them nearly 50 years ago. I have listened to this song countless times and it brings up so many emotions, doesn't matter if its live or the studio version. Knowing who the song is about makes me think of all the people I have lost over the years and when they play it in concert and you are surrounded by thousands of people all having their own reactions to it but you feel the empathy from every single person too. I know music is very personal but when you see so many others around you feeling similar emotions it is a weird but awesome experience. Thank you for sharing this video, it has made me smile seeing someone who gets so much from music. 🤗
Other stand outs are "On The Turning Away" (about human rights and ending poverty), "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (about original band member Sid Barrett, who left the group in 1968 due to mental health issues) and "Run Like Hell" (which was the final song in the London performances).
This album came out in my senior year of high school. Of course I bought a copy and listened to it dozens of times. In fact where I worked after school there was a turntable behind the main desk and they played a lot of Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones all day.
Such a wonderful reaction! Wish you were here is a song that brings me to tears almost every time I hear it. As a Pink Floyd fan I can only advise to listen to the entire concert and to the studio albums as well. You will find many more fantastic songs.
The slightly odd intro is supposed to represent someone at home in their room listening to the radio (hence the fragments of song/speech) and then settling on a guitar song. They listen for a bit, and then join in to play along.
Roger Waters said that when he wrote the lyrics to Wish You Were Here he had in mind someone close who had refused to move on in life and had been left behind. He also said that at other times it meant something else, and that some days he didn't really know what it meant himself. He deliberately made the lyrics enigmatic so that the listener could make them mean whatever they wanted them to mean, and they have become an anthem for anyone who has lost someone close to them. The opening guitar chords were composed by David Gilmour who had in mind someone listening to a poor quality radio all alone in their bedroom late at night, and hearing the opening chords, and then joining in himself with the crisper sound of the second guitar. Overall, a stunningly beautiful composition, both instrumentally and lyrically, and a work of complete genius. I associate it with someone very close that I lost long ago and it never fails to bring a tear to my eye. This was the first part of the encore, followed by Comfortably Numb, and finishing with Run Like Hell. There has never been a finale like it by anyone!
@@Rick-or2kq Roger Waters said in an interview that the only piece written for Syd Barrett on the Wish You Were Here album was Shine On You Crazy Diamond. However, David Gilmour has said that when he's playing WYWH he normally thinks of Syd, even though it wasn't written about him.

Other great songs from the Pulse concert that you should check out are the opening song 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' and also 'Time' and 'Run Like Hell' I absolutely love your reaction videos keep them coming!
No other band like Pink Floyd! You can listen to a 9:00 Pink Floyd song and the time just flies by leaving the listener wanting more. There are sooo many great performances at this 1994 Pulse concert, a few suggestions,... "Sorrow",.. "High Hopes",.. "Learning to Fly",.. "Keep Taiking",.. "Run Like Hell",.. "Coming Back to Life", and many more. They also perform their whole, iconic, epic 1973 Concept album, "Dark Side of the Moon"! One of the greatest Rock albums of all times, some critics say it IS THE greatest Rock album of all time! The 'Dark Side of the Moon" album is one the first Concept albums, the album tells a story like a book, so it's made to be listened to in one sitting, all at once. Listen to the complete album all in one sitting, like watching a movie, and the songs flow from one song to the other song seamlessly. Sometimes it's hard to tell where one song ends, and the next song begins. What an astounding performance, at this 94 Pulse Concert, of the whole DSOFM album being performed live!
I was at one of the Earl's Court, walking in there was loads of signs saying "no smoking in the auditorium." As soon as Shine On started, the spliffs came out!🤪
Loved your reaction Inna. Just watching the expression in your eyes and on your face alone, just shows how into the song and performance you were enjoying it,
My emotions are radically scattered in the psychedelic world as I watch your hypnotic dance of eyes (and fiery hairstyles), decorated with a bright smile and flashing teeth. The heart beats uncontrollably wildly on P.F. a brilliant legacy.. In you I find immense warmth, wit, as well as innocent vulnerability covered with charm and kindness. You never want a Pink Floyd song to end. Their music is so captivating.
It is magical. The entire concert is perfection.
Exactly right.
It was.
Awesome band awesome song. Another band that you might enjoy is Triumph.
Absolutely brilliant. And David Gilmore's guitar solos are legendary.
Pink Floyd have a way of suspending time like no other band. Transcendent and imminent simultaneously. One of a kind.
Such a beautiful song written about past co-founder Sid Barret.
Agree , but a song wee al can make some conecction whith
You don't listen to pink floyd, you experience them.....
I agree 👏🏻
they wrote that song in honor to sid Barret, the founder of Pink Floyd.

Timeless classic . Another level of music and vocals ..

My first ever concert was Pink Floyd 1971 in "Stadthalle Offenbach" ! There were only about 1000 people . That has changed my taste of music forever !
I am honored that Roger is my uncle. He has sang this to me since I was a child
