We lost our daughter in 2019. She was 36, and we still haven't found out what caused her death. No drugs or alcohol in her system. Every time I hear this song I so emotional that I cry. I'm 64 and have enjoyed Pink Floyd since I was 15. Keep feeling the music down in your soul. ❤
Omg I am sorry for your loss. I can't imagine your pain . But I know that you are strong . It's ok to cry wow your story is incredible ❤ hug and supports from all the way over here . Am so sorry 🙏🙏🙏
When you have such a visceral emotional reaction like this to their music... you know you're a true Pink Floyd fan. There's so much more to discover. Enjoy the journey!
Syd Barrett, a founding member of PF, descended into psychosis as a young man. His leaving the group was heartbreaking to them. The first part of the song where they're asking all the questions "do you think you can tell . . ." are assessing who he had become and what was left of their friend and inspiration. The second half expresses that they wished he was back with them. The real heartbreak came one day in the recording studio when a very unusual guy showed up and just hung around. After a bit, they finally recognized him. He had gone from an incredibly handsome young man to a bald, fat, shapeless man who had shaved his eyebrows off. The truly magicial thing about this song is that, even without the background story of it, the music and lyrics can evoke these incredibly powerful emotions in people. Thank you for your sharing your experience with us. Your reaction is just as magical as the music.
My wife and I saw this song live in 1999 on one of our first dates as a couple. We sang it together that day. I loved this song before that, but now? That was 25 years ago and we were teens.
You are obviously a beautiful woman on the outside but more importantly on the inside, where it counts! Keep up the great work from just a simple middle aged white guy. God bless you girl, from deep in the ❤ of Texas. Subscribed and obviously liked.
Kiler Floyd tune. Beautiful tears your reaction. You have a warm, soft, and tender heart. Guard her well. Loving your style in the mountains of East Tennessee,. U.S.A. Peace and love. Later.
I have been listening to this music for 35 years now, and it still makes me feel like how you reacted to it. Somehow, I might even feel it more now as I’ve gotten older. You’re awesome, great music brings us together
After the Death of my Father, I Played Pink Floyd and Balled my eyes out and then I did it again for my Mother. Pink Floyd will wash your Soul Clean and help you keep your memories of your family and the Ones that you Love 💕. He takes you to Heaven and then brings you Back, just to prove that there's something worth all our Troubles. Great Reaction to one of many of Pink Floyd songs live....
I've been listening to Pink Floyd for over 50 years and I still get choked up. Pink Floyd touches your soul. When you get older and have lost your parents, many close friends and acquaintances and your own youth...this song will hit you even harder.
Love this reaction of you with Pink Floyd and all the other Pink Floyd songs. Please don’t apologize for your tears, we love seeing your emotions come out by listening to Pink Floyd. Thank you
Don't be sorry for Crying. I love when somebody is moved by music like that. Because I Love music as well. Sometimes I get the chills going thru my Body. I Love watching your Reactions Miss Ashley. You are a cute and Charming and funny. I Love to see Somebody enjoying music. Patrick from Wilmington Delaware
nothing can speak to the soul like a 12 string guitar. mine was custom made for my father by a guy in italy he met while TDY for a month when we were stationed in england in the late 70s. the tension from the strings is so strong, it has a huge block of wood in the body to mount the neck to, otherwise it would snap the body in half. it a very heavy guitar. sounds amazing. hard to play for long.
There is something quite beautiful watching young reactors discover the classic bands of days gone by. Pink Floyd are pretty much timeless in that regard, thank you for finding and emotionally connecting with them!
🤩👍💥💯🎼 It's truly understandable if Mr. Gilmour's 🎸 playing and vocalization in one bursts some teary eye on our sweet IslandGirl 🥰👌 This kinda emotions are squeezed out only with some proper 'Classic Rock' tunes..😋 🙃 ¡ Neat Neat Neat ! 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
But it is so great that younger people now have youtube videos so they can see what music was once like 😂 but yes you are receiving it well. You are passionate i love it, you are a real person .
they take you on a journey with each song, and feel your on version of their message, you must watch .. Pink Floyd The Wall Movie, it explains the banda beginings .... generation
This is a tribute and how the band feels about the founding member Syd Barrette who through mental issues and drugs use had to be removed from the band. They wanted him to get better and rejoin but it never happened.
Getting emotional while listening to this song is perfectly normal. This song is a reminder of the troubled friendship, taken away by the mental illness of their childhood friend (Syd Barrett), friend and co-founder of Pink Floyd. Much of their life swimming in the same fishbowl is now a thing of the past, so we wish Syd were here.
This song is about loss. Along with ' Shine on you crazy diamond ' it was written for founding member Syd Barrett who had to leave in the early days due to drug related problems. All the band were very close at that time and were heartbroken when Syd was unable to return. In Gilmours brilliant wistful acoustic / vocal interplay you can hear his longing for his old friend. But of course the song can be applied to anyone who has lost someone.
Don't apologize for showing your emotions that Pink Floyd causes to surface that happens to all of us. Most especially when the music or the message of any of their complexities hits home. They are the most favorite of mine and was fortunate to see them live on this tour and the previous tour. I can't wait to watch the journey that you have begun. You also have Rush, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Van Halen, Journey, Styx, The Scorpions, Yes, and more to experience, it'll be fun I cant wait.
Thank you so much.. so used to hiding my feelings . This channel and music allows be to be open and I love that I have a supportive team to reassure me that it is ok to be open . Thank you. Definitely checking out your suggestions 🙏❤
Hello, a wonderful song that always makes me think of my deceased partner. So I think you don't have to apologize in the slightest for your tears/feelings, it's nice that you feel, can feel that way and allow it.
That's a good example of why Live Concerts aren't the best for an intro to a song or group - the crowd knows the album/song by heart so the bands often take liberties to give a 'personalized' touch - and usually the crowd noise can detract a lot - and except for PF, the bands usually can't come close to the engineered sonic perfection they had in studio. I'll suggest ON THE TURNING AWAY, COMFORTABLY NUMB, and the entire DARK SIDE OF THE MOON album, front to back, all in one sitting (particularly TIME).
Beautiful reaction, young lady. I get a little misty eyed everytime I hear it too, and I have been listening to this song for almost 50 years. Keep going down that Pink Floyd rabbit hole :)
I certainly will lol .. I am very emotional lol . Don't really like crying on camera but I give honest first time reaction 😅 I really feel connected to music. Thank you
Have you heard "The Great Gig in the Sky" yet? Famously brings many to their knees/ to tears. Should really be heard in its righful place on "Dark Side of the Moon", but you can still react to it on its own. I would strongly urge you to do the album version first however - Clare Torry's vocal is the stuff of legend on it.
Wonderful reaction, you have the soul of the divine. You will love a song called Turn Of The Century by YES. It's about a sculptor and his lost love. ⚘️ 🎶 🙏

This could apply to syd barrett, but i think it applies to soldiers not coming home war, and tortured, like a lead role in a steel cage, and mothers losing sons, and wifes losing husbands,
