The whole Pulse concert was not just a concert, it was a full experience. To my knowledge, nothing like this has been pulled off ever since. And this was almost 30 years ago!
True this was the ultimate concert experience, it even beat the '85 Springsteen"born in the USA" gig at Wembley stadium. This was mind blowing, a natural high.😊
I was 17 at that time. I already knew a lot of their music. Also, it was the first and the last time that Pink Floyd played in my country. I knew they were coming, I was a fan and I didn´t go to the concert. You can imagine how I feel 😀
I love the fact that David Gilmour gave Tim Renwick his time to shine. Obviously after seeing this, it is evident that Tim is a darn good guitarist in his own right.
It also shows that David is a great human being without a massive ego and loves to see those around him succeed. He truly is one of a kind and you could see just how thrilled Tim was to get that chance. It really was wonderful to see something like that.
The song is part of a concept album called "The Wall". It tells a very intense story of a rockstar going slowly insane. There are three parts to "Another Brick in the Wall", you just heard pt 2 the very famous disco-ie sounding one. You have to listen to the whole album to hear the shorter darker versions 1& 3. All the songs off the album are part of a larger concept that has more meaning when listened to in context of the album. Hope one day you get to have the full experience.
I was so lucky to see Pink Floyd 4 times, including the Pulse tour, all 4 times I walked out thinking that was the best show I ever saw. The 2 shows in the 70s at the old Boston Garden with Roger Waters still in the band had to be as memorable as any, as the first time they did an expanded set of of Dark Side of the Moon and also encored with Echoes, the in 1977 they did all of Animals followed by all of Wish You Were Here, David Gilmour was on fire at those shows and you can hear them on You Tube. I also saw them in 1987 and 1994 for the Pulse Tour. I also Saw David twice in the same week in the mid 1980s for his solo tour for his second, solo album and also saw Roger Waters twice with Floyd and 4 times solo, his first tour after leaving Floyd saw him do the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour with Eric Clapton on lead guitar, do his own interpretations of David Gilmour's famous leads. The last time I saw Roger, he was out with the Wall, a totally mesmerizing performance. Yeah, I'm a huge fan, have been since Ummagumma came out in 1969. You really should not just do random songs with them, their albums, starting with Meddle, through Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Hear, Animals and finally, The Wall, should be heard in their entirety, all the tunes mainly transition into the next and you ruin the flow and won't get the Big Story they are trying to tell if you just listen to random songs from their catalog. At the least, hear them on your own time but they would make great reactions and get you many extra eyeballs. Their are many reasons they are in my top 5 musical acts ever in any genre, they are that good. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶
I saw this concert in East Rutherford, NJ. Pink Floyd always delivers the most powerful concert experience. I wish, now, that I had partaken a bit less at the time, so I might remember it more now. ;)
If you want to see Pink Floyd in their prime as a four-man band (what you see here are three of the original members [the soloing guitarist, the gray-haired keyboardist and the older drummer] plus a slew of touring musicians), definitely do a reaction to the Floyd performing the song "Echoes" in the film " Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii". It is a concert film of the group performing songs live in the ampitheater of Pompeii's ruins back in 1971.
She needs to see parts 1 & 2 of Echoes, it confuses reactors who don't know that song opened and closed the documentary concert about the event. Great tune and the are indeed entering their prime, a must watch and listen for sure!
Hi Inna, I was lucky enough to experience that concert at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas in 1994. I took my son and daughter, and yes it was definitely an experience. Pink Floyd and Nightwish are my two all time favorite bands. There is however one more band I also love, and that is The Grateful Dead. You should check them out some time. They were a legendary band from the U.S. They always had a huge following that were called "Deadheads." I was one of them to an extent. They were one of the premier improv jam bands around.
Definitely check out Pink Floyd's movie-video version of this song, which includes some powerful visuals to accompany the deep lyrics; it also includes "The Happiest Days of Our Lives," which sets up even more profoundly the lyrics of "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2." Thank you for another PF reaction!
Great reaction! I saw them twice on that ‘94 tour. Singer/guitarist David Gilmour said the Hollywood Bowl was one of their favorite venues and that’s what this stage is… an exact-size replica of the Hollywood Bowl. It took two days to construct so they had two of them and while they performed in one city, the second stage was being built in the next city… after, the first stage would then travel to the following city. Imagine the expense.
When i saw them in madison and was raining. I remember david gilmour asking, " will you stand out in the rain for me?" The light shows was the best ive ever seen. I do feel so grateful to have seen this concert in 94.
It is always awesome to watch and hear Pink Floyd at a live concert. And I always think back of 1988 when I had the honour to be at the live concert in Rotterdam. I will never forget it. The double album The Wall is a concept album with a narrative. If you listen to the entire album you will understand where this part of Another brick in the wall ... on the album there are 3 parts ... fits in the narrative of the album.
You can be sure that David Gilmour and Rodger Waters has experimented with every conceivable composition for their music and they have composed their songs perfectly to the concepts they created for each album, keep in mind that their classic albums were all theme based, they each had a story or theme concept and each song bled into the next one seamlessly according to the whole story. Another Brick in the wall is just a chapter in the story (album) concept that is The Wall. When you listen to the album you will see how it all perfectly fits together. Great reaction Inna, Love your enthusiasm and presentation... and I'll add your adorableness 😊🌹
The drummer looks like my high school math teacher. 😂 I did have the privilege of seeing PF twice 1st time was 1977 Animals tour and again in the early 90s.
Pink Floyd's attention to detail is wonderful ... the two black female singers are both American (and they're sisters) but they are singing "we don't need no education" in an English accent, and more specifically, a London accent, just like on the album.
A listener has to listen to the entire track (comprised of 3 parts ... and later add-on track) - "Another brick in the wall Pt. 1"/ "Happiest days of our lives" / "Another brick in the wall Pt. 2" ... The live clip only had "Another brick in the wall Pt.2". The track was written by bassist/ vocalist Roger Waters about his upbringing in Cambridge during post-World War II England... Waters felt like the teachers in his school were more inclined to instill their students w/ their own cynicism and frustrations, rather than educate them... So, it was an angry retort against those educators of his youth... This 1979 album 'The Wall' is considered a masterpiece by Pink Floyd, but David Gilmour (guitar & vocals) was not happy w/ it and found Roger Waters becoming more isolated and difficult... refusing to collaborate w/ the band on music. Waters would (mostly) work on songs alone and bring them to the others to play without any input. Roger Waters admitted that fame & money did not bring him any happiness... instead, it drove a wedge between him and Pink Floyd (Waters quit the band by 1984) ... By 1978, things got so bad that Waters would often berate the audience at Pink Floyd concerts and then, Rick Wright (keyboards) was fired... Wright did the shows for 'The Wall' but was shown the door right after. Unable to come to grips w/ his own misery and isolation from the band members and their fans, Waters pitched the concept of 'The Wall' to the band... it was an album that was semi-autobiographical - tracing his life from birth, losing his father in World War II, raised by a single mom, living in the aftermath of World War II, leaving Cambridge for London and starting a band and career... his descent into delusion and isolation ("The Wall" became a metaphor for Roger Water's isolation) It was eventually made into a fictional movie - 'The Wall'... Actor Bob Geldof played a rock star named 'Pink' in the movie who descends into madness and fascism... A few scenes in the movie were inspired by real experiences w/ Pink Floyd's founder Syd Barrett, who left the band after suffering a mental breakdown and descended into madness. When Pink Floyd reunited in 1987, Roger Waters was not asked back... and he sued the band to keep them from using the name Pink Floyd (he lost)... David Gilmour, Rick Wright and drummer Nick Mason of Pink Floyd were joined by session musicians for the last 2 albums and tours.
Hi Inna as one who Grew up with the Old & New Music of Pink Floyd I would suggest this called ( Learning to Fly ) 😎👍👍🌞 Yes I have seen them live in concert !!! Like Button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁 This is Part of the Wall Album & Also A movie !!!
Hahaha just like us old timers, we always wanted more in their songs yet it's satisfying just the way it is. Pink Floyd has an awesome way of transporting you to a different universe. And...I must say, listening to them on headphones is awesome because they have so many subtle notes that sometimes you don't hear. Like Wish You Were Here when he sings....just a little pin prick... and there's a bell type note that not many people notice. Love that you love them.👍💯🇨🇦
This song is fantastic.. but the real reason it has passed the test of time is because the lyrics are so VERY important, especially nowadays where all you see on twitter and tik tok is teacher trying to indoctrinate their class kids into whatever ideology they themselves believe!
The song is of the album the wall this was a concept album the whole album tells a story and although it may seem short it leads into another track that continues the story. It's in fact another brick in the wall part two. part one proceeds it and part three follows it with other tracks in-between all three parts.
I think in part, the lack of more versus is one of the things that makes some of this music so compelling. It puts you in a place where your mind runs through what is there, but also what is not there. They can even make a ten minute long song that leaves you wanting more.
The song is part of 'The Wall' concept album. The protagonist of the album had a father who never came back from World War 2, a mother who is overprotective, and with this song, we see that he's having to put up with sadistic school teachers. And this is just the start of the album.
Well, this is “another brick in the wall PT 2”. There are two more parts to this song throughout the album. The concepts of this album are telling a story throughout the album. This is just one single scene from the overall storyline.
On the original studio album, "The Wall," there are three versions of this song, so yes there are more lyrics! I am a songwriter, and I can say that sometimes you can write too many lyrics when, instead, you can let the music do the "talking."
En lo personal considero que Pink Floyd es lo mejor de los últimos 70 años, mi primer disco fue lado oscuro de la luna y todavía lo tengo impecable en su estuche original.
Another Brick In The Wall, just like Thunderstruck by AC/DC, We Are The Champions by Queen and some other songs, has been used so often in movies, television, advertising, cover songs etc, that it’s hard to find a person who hasn’t heard at least one version. Break reaction as always Inna.
Listen to entire album The Wall (1979), it's full story 82 min. Author of lyrics Roger Waters left band in 1983 and is not on the Pulse concert (1994). Here is David Gilmour guitar, Rick Wright keyboards, Nick Mason drums and additional instrumentalists and choir voices. Other 3 PF classic concept albums: The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish you were here (1975), Animals (1977). If you want fully understand listen to entire albums. To see arly PF go to Live at Pompei movie (1972).
You have a right feeling that something is missing there. The song you listened was "Another Brick in The Wall PART 2". The first part and the third part are located within "The Wall" album and they flows perfectly into each other. It's better to listen the whole album to maximize the experience
Roger Waters was the lyricists for the Wall album. He was the only member of the post Sid Barrett PF not performing at this concert. Unfortunately, things did not work out between him and David Gilmore. With that being said, Water was a very deep and profound lyricist. In general, his lyrics make people think, seriously think about life.
Someday, even if you just watch it yourself and don’t record it, you should watch the film version of “The Wall”, which features the music from the album and tells the full story along with both live action and animated scenes based on the album. It’s a crazy, unique, and impressive experience, and one you will never forget. I believe everyone should see it at least once in their lives.
One of the founding members of Pink Floyd, Rodger Waters Put his feelings to paper as a form of catharsis & in doing so wrote most of the Story of The Wall.
Did you know that this song, as well as the album The Wall, were banned in South Africa in 1980 after it was adopted by supporters of a nationwide school boycott, protesting against instituted racial inequities in education under apartheid.
Other bands you should keep an ear out for in this genre are {Queensryche},{ Type O Negative}, { Rush},{ Fair to Midland}, &{ The Devin Townsend Project}. Just to name a few.
Check out the original wall concert , very rare video in 1981 , for me you cant get better then when Roger is with the band, also the wall live in Berlin was a great concert, powerful lyrics , written by Roger Waters.
😂 actually there's Two more parts of the song. Look it up Part 2 and 3. But it's played later on the album. Listen to the Whole Album The Wall Each song leads to the next songs and the Movie will give you some perspective on the thoughts 💭
Al Pink Floyd de este concierto le falta el autor intelectual, Roger Waters. Sería bueno que escuches el disco "The wall" entero para comprender su mensaje.
Yes, a band out of this world! It seems you've already realised that, when you react to Pink Floyd, you're not reacting to any band! You're reacting to one of the greatest rock bands ever! Second, when you say it seems something is "missing" that's why you're reacting to a song from a concept album; so, you won't feel this way about it if you listen to / react to the whole album! And, of course, there are many songs to be suggested: "Time"; "Money"; "Us and them"; "Brain damage"; "Comfortably numb"; and the old and underrated "Summer 68" and "If" - such great songs no one uses to react to.
Here the concert from 1990 and see why it is so symbolic for us Germans one year after the fall of the wall. In the first song also the Scorpions to which you have already reacted. Many other artists were present at the concert. ua-cam.com/play/PLCWR7cftUj6STJIidfI3zTYKCyRpoSiCS.html Roger Waters the father of The Wall and for me the True Pink Floyd
The whole Pulse concert was not just a concert, it was a full experience. To my knowledge, nothing like this has been pulled off ever since. And this was almost 30 years ago!

Pink Floyd always had the best light show!
The song is part of a concept album called "The Wall". It tells a very intense story of a rockstar going slowly insane. Also from the pulse tour "Run like hell".
Groovy
the three backgirls really hit it
That guitar solo is from a different planet.
My personal favorites of the Pulse concert: „comfortably numb“, „High hopes“ and „Keep Talking“
GOOSEBUMPS AS THE HELICOPTERS CAME IN!!!!

Comfortably Numb, the Pulse concert is amazing. Longer but well worth it. Great reaction

THE BEST TOTALLY IMMERSIVE CONCERT EXPERIENCE.
another great reaction, you should react to " money " and " us and them" from the same pulse concert
I've been listening to rock music since I was a kid and I think it's amazing when someone says they've never heard music like that.
There was a cover version of this song in the 1998 film, "The Faculty", starring Josh Hartnett and Elijah Wood.
Oohhh! Maybe I’ve heard it there a while back ago
Another song is On The Turning Away from the delicate sound of thunder concert
Hahaha just like us old timers, we always wanted more in their songs yet it's satisfying just the way it is. Pink Floyd has an awesome way of transporting you to a different universe. And...I must say, listening to them on headphones is awesome because they have so many subtle notes that sometimes you don't hear. So Brilliant ❤

Just another reason I am stuck on Pink Floyd, never gets old! BTW no Telegram!
I think in part, the lack of more versus is one of the things that makes some of this music so compelling. It puts you in a place where your mind runs through what is there, but also what is not there. They can even make a ten minute long song that leaves you wanting more.
Il LIVE PULSE è l'ultimo tour dei Pink Floyd realizzato all'Earls Court di Londra nell'ottobre 1994...il più spettacolare e fantasmagorico !🔝🔝🔝
The song is part of 'The Wall' concept album. The protagonist of the album had a father who never came back from World War 2, a mother who is overprotective, and with this song, we see that he's having to put up with sadistic school teachers. And this is just the start of the album.
Yeah, Pink is in need of a mental health evaluation to say the least!
The Protagonist in the movie/video was played by Bob Geldorf - known from Boomtown Rats or Live Aid...
You might have heard the studio version.
Okay, I subscribed, since you asked so nicely, and reacted to Floyd
Well, this is “another brick in the wall PT 2”. There are two more parts to this song throughout the album.

En lo personal considero que Pink Floyd es lo mejor de los últimos 70 años, mi primer disco fue lado oscuro de la luna y todavía lo tengo impecable en su estuche original.
Famous and popular not even close to " Comfortably numb'' "sorrow" " high hopes" " run like hell"
Another Brick In The Wall, just like Thunderstruck by AC/DC, We Are The Champions by Queen and some other songs, has been used so often in movies, television, advertising, cover songs etc, that it’s hard to find a person who hasn’t heard at least one version.

girl you sweet thing yes you have heard this of course in 1000's of tracks
Yo totally have to watch the film. It is one of the great music film ever.

I was there
I was there in London. Not sure if it was the same night this was recorded. Was incredible
Gilmour and Water did patch things up later.
@@Boodieman72 Gilmore performed, I think this same song, live with Water. I cannot remember when they did it.
Roger had his huge themes and concepts brought to life by the rest of the band, they never would have been as great as they were without each other.
@@vicprovost2561 I agree.

The album & movie The Wall is a rock opera and is heartbreaking & thought-provoking at the same time. You should give it a watch some time.
One of the founding members of Pink Floyd, Rodger Waters Put his feelings to paper as a form of catharsis & in doing so wrote most of the Story of The Wall.
Plss see echoes in pompeii pink floyd in there prime great reaction
Inna, I strongly recommend "The Wall -Live in Berlin" concert video (1990)
On the album version, you could say there is another verse, if i remember correct, this song is like 3 parts..
Did you know that this song, as well as the album The Wall, were banned in South Africa in 1980 after it was adopted by supporters of a nationwide school boycott,
protesting against instituted racial inequities in education under apartheid.
Other bands you should keep an ear out for in this genre are {Queensryche},{ Type O Negative}, { Rush},{ Fair to Midland}, &{ The Devin Townsend Project}. Just to name a few.
Watch the movie. The Wall. Saw em live when it came out.
Go back to the 70’s and you will EXPERIENCE THE ORIGINAL PINK FLOYD!!!!!!! I know because I was there. ❤❤❤❤❤
That one has a skip in the intro due to copyright, their official channel has the Pulse Playlist in it.
Check out the original wall concert , very rare video in 1981 , for me you cant get better then when Roger is with the band, also the wall live in Berlin was a great concert, powerful lyrics , written by Roger Waters.
it was a movie
The album is a story so it's hard to pick out a song as say it should be longer as it flows into the next song seamlessly.
Now you be to do Us and them
Also when you listen to the Albums the songs tend to all join together
Making it seamless makes up for the short verses
You have to play the whole album
Tendrias que escuchar o ver la versión de la pelicula es ¡BRUTAL!
🤘❤️🤘❤️🤘💯🇮🇹🇪🇺
Escute o disco de THE WALL ,você vai ter uma experiência única
😂 actually there's Two more parts of the song. Look it up Part 2 and 3. But it's played later on the album. Listen to the Whole Album The Wall Each song leads to the next songs and the Movie will give you some perspective on the thoughts 💭
They don't make 'em like this anymore. Sadly.
That is only the first part their is a second part on the album so when you find It your wish will be answered & all will be revealed ??❤😊
Avenged sevenfold reaction’s please
Hey how’s it going
Watch the video and see it from a different perspective
Here the concert from 1990
and see why it is so symbolic for us Germans one year after the fall of the wall.
In the first song also the Scorpions to which you have already reacted.
Many other artists were present at the concert.
