You don't have an annoying intro, you didn't pause the video and you didn't talk over it so we could enjoy it with you. You're soft spoken and seem intelligent, very well done. I look forward to watching your next Pink Floyd reaction.
Thank you for this ❤️ I always doubt how simple my content is, but I like to “keep it simple” so it’s straight to the point and I can enjoy it along with everyone else watching me.
Good days bros if u want to see young generation band doing a classic iconic song like WISH U WERE HERE BY THE BAND PINKFLOYD WATCH THE RENDITION OF THIS SONG BY THE FRANZ RYTHM FAMILY BAND ACOUSTIC VERSION🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
The entire pulse live concert is arguably the best of all time to date. Pick any song. Suggest HIGH HOPES, TIME, GREAT GIG IN THE SKY, SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND from the pulse concert. The best talented musicians ever assembled in one place.
Hi! Glad you like Pink Floyd music. I worked on the stage crew for the Pulse Canada tour. It was awesome! I'm glad there are videos of the so many great bands of the 1960's to 1980's for young people to enjoy & the music will live on.
As an "old" guy who was a teenager in the 70's. We didn't have Broadband, Mobile Phones, Social Media. But we had a "Yin and Yang" of Rock a "Perfect Black" and "Perfect White" Psychodelic / Progressive Rock and Hard / Blues Rock Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin Check out Led Zeppelin "Since I've Been Loving You" live at Madison Square Gardens 1973
Not the most "typical" Pink Floyd track but none the less iconic. As the title track of the album Wish You Were Here, this sums up the feeling of loss. Founding Band member Syd Barrett, had dropped out of the band suffering severe mental health issues and the effects of drug abuse. During recording a fat bald man with shaved off eyebrows wandered into the studio. It took several minutes before they realised this was their old dear friend Syd. Roger Waters broke down and cried when he saw what had become of Syd. So this song is set up, as a Rock Star listening to an old fm radio, as one of his old hits is played on the radio he picks up a guitar and starts playing along, reliving former glories alone and without those old friends.
So was I. 49 now, and it's still the most incredible musical experience of my life. Denver, 1994. ...My God... That was 30 years ago this summer. It goes so fast.
Been a Floyd devotee for the best part of 32 years now, and they remain as mesmeric as ever to meespecially this song, for all my dear mates who are now in The Great Gig in the Sky😇😇😇😇
A wonderful reaction. I was lucky enough to be there at that gig. The best gig I have been to. Still gives me goosebumps. Thank you for not pausing it and listening to it in one take. Well done.
50 years ago Pink Floyd were already 200 years ahead of everybody! I bought my first Pink Floyd album in 1969 (Ummagumma) and saw them live in 1971 and 4 more times after that. For me This is the BEST band of all times. Now I'm 71 years old and still listen to them everyday.
This song has a special place in my heart ❤️ my brother from another mother / my drummer and one of my closest friends taught me how to play the solo and many years later I played and sung at his funeral with his brother. It was one of the hardest things that I have ever done but also a perfect moment. Great reaction 👏
I remember in 1994, I was 23 and had been a Pink Floyd fan since the age of 10. This concert came out on VHS format and completely sold out in a few days.
I was fortunate enough to see Pink Floyd in concert during this very tour. If I'm not mistaken, the concert you watched took place in October of 1994 at Earl's Court in London. I saw them earlier in the tour in May of 1994 in the old Foxboro Stadium in Massachusetts. It was an experience I will never forget. It was surreal. I'm anxious to see you react to other songs from this concert (especially Comfortably Numb). There's also an excellent live performance video from their previous tour in 1988. The song "On the Turning Away" from their Momentary Lapse of Reason album. Great reaction.
I have the 'Pulse' DVD, it is now out on Blu-Ray with 5.1 DTS in a deluxe version that also has the full 'Dark Side of the Moon' set from the two concerts from 'The Division Bell' concert tour that played the full DSOTM for the first time in decades instead of the set list from the rest of the tour. That is the name of the concert series, whereas 'Pulse' is the name of the live album from the tour as well as the film which became available on DVD, now Blu-Ray. Worth Having!
I've had pink floyd accompany my journey my entire life, it never gets old and I love that younger people find it watch it and fall in love with it ,,, great job keep it up , BTW I'm knocking on the door of 60 just for clarity,
Im 68, all my kids were raised on Pink Floyd, Chris Rhea, Freddy Mercury( Queen) and many other musicians/albums/singers. ( My eldest is 50, and she still loves all the music from their childhood..as do all my kids)
You my dear are a breath of fresh air you obviously appreciate excellent music when you watch and listen to it your spot on I'm 74 years young and have been fan of pink floyd since they were formed way back in the sixtees there was a lot of really very talented bands starting out then so we were literally spoilt for choice it was seventh heaven as you can guest I absolutely love all types of music but pink floyd are in a league of their own pure class extremely talented singers and musicians I know you will continue down this particular rabbit hole goes without saying your in for a fabulous experience everything they have done is wonderful thought provoking sometimes hypnotic and very emotional what more do you want I have favourites like wish you were here and shine on you crazy diamond us and them high hopes echoes make the pulse concert a priority it's a must enjoy I'm sure you will your hooked now no going back rock on great reaction
First time hearing them. Christmas Eve 1968, I was 11.First concert ever, April 24th, 1974. Los Angeles Sports arena. Second show. !978, Anahime, Calif. Third show / "PULES." Jack Murfey Stadium San Diego, & Rose Bowl Pasadena Calif 1994.
Welcome to the pink floyd experience!! Love that you listen to the entire song before sharing your insights and appreciations. I so hope you do more PF!
I had the fortunate pleasure of seeing Pink Floyd on this tour. Being you appreWish you were here you should have a listen to Shine on you crazy diamond.
Thank you for playing this my brother who was 18 used to listen to this song, and I can't help to cry a little when I hear it and I hate was like 36 years ago, but thank you!!!!!
There is a video of 2 street performers playing Wish you were here in an Irish train station, that is very good. But the crowd that forms begins singing (it may be a flash mob) but it was very moving to me to think of that many people young and old singing those beautiful lyrics together. You should do a reaction to that! Cheers!
Thar was 94. I first saw em in 73 and 3 times after. The last in 79 so,everything being relative, you weren't a gleam in your daddy's eye. Enjoy... I have for over 50 years.
Try "High Hopes", or "Keep Talking" from this same concert. Pink Floyd plugged right into our souls and you need to get ready to be moved more than you could imagine listening to this concert. Peace.
Van Morrison quite regularly scats to the guitar as well… Also, in the future you might like Jethro Tull, one the most dynamic live bands in our time (the 70s)… can’t say too much but prepare for your jaw to hit the floor.
As an old man (53), I love seeing young people experience and truly enjoy real music. The trash that they call music today doesn't even require there be a human being present. A phenomenal voice for you to experience is Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane. There are so many for you to fall in love with
Thank you for sharing..I really enjoy seeing a younger generation take the time to introduce themselves to and appreciate music that I have been listening to all my life. Pink Floyd is one of the few groups that has been in almost continuous rotation on my play list since the 1970’s. I highly recommend you listen to both ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’ albums in full. You won’t be disappointed.
`Probably the most animated the audience got during this concert was during the finale, "Run Like Hell," which is in the more energetic vein, but it's still so well done!
You have arrived at classic progressive rock, this is a treasure trove and Pink Floyd leads the charge along with Led Zeppelin. You won't regret this path.. Try the song Comfortably Numb" from this same concert. and try the group Led Zeppelin, Try "Since Ive Been Loving You" live 1973 Madison Square Garden, I know it sounds old but trust me. Liked Subbed Shared!
If you want the "most typical" Pink Floyd, I'd say AUDIO ONLY version of "Money" (the official video is a cut down radio / mtv version) If you want the world's most emotional guitar solo ever recorded Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" Pulse Concert If you want the bands definitive turning point and "best" track Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part 1 only) live at Pompeii 1972 If you want the deepest dive into the emotions surrounding Death you will ever hear Pink Floyd "The Great Gig in the Sky" live Pulse Concert If you want to hear the roots of Metal / Punk even before Black Sabbath Pink Floyd "The Nile Song" early 1969 and they might have done one or two other little things. Having an album chart for over 17 years (yes YEARS) is one😅
Im with you Phil, the album cut of Money is one of Dave's most explosive solo, it is highly underrated and probably because no one gets to hear it with the truncated blasphemous radio and video version everyone has heard. Travesty...lol
good to see you enjoyed it the exact same way we all do watching them live, i was at the concert before pulse and they are something you will never forget. have a listen to genesis - home by the sea live from the same year. and another one to listen to is the band "camel" the track 'sahara, or lawrence' and of course more of pulse, any track is worth it.
Everyone was watching because cellular phones were not common (and were huge, lol). If you liked this light show, I would suggest Comfortably Numb (the song you accidentally mentioned). Some still say it is the pinnacle of concert performance.
A great reaction Juliett. This gig was at Earl's Court with a capacity of 22,000, and Pink Floyd sold out for 13 consecutive nights. Although one of my favourites, most pieces by PF are rather more expansive. My own favourites are Comfortably Numb (from the Pulse gig) and Brain Damage/Eclipse (never separate them!). Also as you were struggling to get your head around the concept of time, you'll definitely enjoy "Time" which hits you harder with each passing year. I envy you the journey on which you are embarking!
Yes, I’m older, born in 60. Music in the 60’s, 70’s was different. This song is from the 70’s. You could react to Electric Light Orchestra - Telephone Line. ELO is another step down from the hard rock. Like Pink Floyd they have a unique style and sound, all bands had character back in the day. Subbed for the journey.
Great reaction! The album was from 1975. Your mum was probably a small child when this came out! Awesome music. The lyrics are so profound. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great reaction 👍 One of the most engaging concerts of "our" era (yep I'm an old bastard) the entire gig is available on YT and well worth watching, turn it up, turn out the lights, lay back and fly the sound waves. Try "keep Talking" from the same gig, David actually becomes one with the guitar, it's exquisite.
7:50 " _Don't take this the wrong way..._ " It isn't taken the wrong way, we are glad you are discovering and enjoying the music that we enjoyed when we were your age. Welcome!
Great reaction to an amazing song. Thank you for that Jess. My first time seeing Pink Floyd was Sept. 19th, 1987 in Philadelphia at JFK Stadium. I was fortunate to sing along with this song with 110,000 other souls. It was nothing short of magical...... Try "On the Turning Away" and "High Hopes" from the PULSE concert. You'll thank me later. 😉
First time on your channel, JJ, and it won't be my last! Enjoyed your reaction to this wonderful song from the amazing Pink Floyd!! I don't know which of their songs you have reacted to, but for future PF material I would suggest listening to each of the songs on the album Dark Side of the Moon, in order. You will love it! You also asked us to suggest another artist to react to, and again, while I don't know who you have done or not done, I highly recommend Queen!!
Thanks for joining us all!! I’ve got a Pink Floyd cover on my channel from Nightwish, but apart from that this is the first time and it’s been exciting so far 😝
The audience you spoke of was *transfixed*, because it was THAT kind of concert. I had the pleasure of seeing this tour with 65,000 friends, and it was mind-bending, start to finish. The PULSE Concert (so named because the first CD release had a red LED in the spine that flashed, or 'pulsed') has been called arguably the greatest concert performance ever recorded. It is uniformly excellent throughout. If you choose to review another Pink Floyd song, you can pick any song from this concert, and know that A) the audio will be superb, and B) your viewers (and you) will be mesmerized by the visuals of the show. But if you review anything else from PULSE, your next reaction MUST BE "Comfortably Numb". Trust me, it brought the house down. After that, personal favorites include "High Hopes", "Time", "Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Parts 1-5 & 7" (a lengthier cut), or "Run Like Hell", typically the concert's finale. For a new and different "band" to listen to, I want to suggest a Music Production Company called Two Steps From Hell. As a gamer and/or a film-watcher, you've probably heard their music and not realized it. They are two composers, one from LA and one from Norway. They write music primarily for movie and video game ~trailers~ so their musical compositions are typically short, intense. and VERY cinematic. Their music can be heard in the trailers way back in Mass Effect 2 & 3, various recent Star Trek trailers, several Harry Potter films used their music in trailers, as well as some teasers and trailers for MCU films. TSFH's music makes you feel like you could run through a wall, like you're leading an army into a great battle. For a first taste, I'll recommend "Flight Of The Silverbird".
Great reaction, you are just scraping the top of a lot of great Pink Floyd songs. The songs Comfortably Numb High Hopes , Keep Talking Pulse concert will blow you away 😊.
The 1884 audience was old cos they’d been going to see Floyd since the early 1970s (which is where this song is from). The crowds in the late q960s at Floyd happenings were younger than you are or the same age - by q994 they were a bit older…
If you want to see what Pink Floyd looked like when they were more your age then go back to their 1971 recording of "Echoes", from Pompeii. It is long, a total of 25 mins, but is in two parts. And as you have covered Nightwishes cover of "High Hopes" then it would be nice to see your reaction to the original, also available during the Pulse concert. If you want stage lights and a guitar solo, or 2, then the Pulse concert version of "Comfortably Numb" would be your thing.
It's almost impossible to pick a favorite Pink Floyd song. But whenever I think about it, what about this song or that song, I always think "Yeah, but what about Wish You Were Here"? How can I *not* pick Wish You Were Here? And I never have a good answer to that question 😎
Your journey as begun. I have been on the journey since 1972. I can give you a band from the era of the 1970's but list is long, that is perhaps the greatest decade of rock music. The legendary bands were just falling out of the sky and the music was just fantastic
By the time that Pink Floyd played the Pulse Concert, they had been playing and performing together FOR THIRTY YEARS! First album release was in 1965 . . . . .
Another great group from the 70s is Yes. You will be amazed at how great of musicians they are. One of their earlier songs is Seen All Good People from The Yes album. That would be a good introduction to the band.
How great was that? Truly one of Pink Floyd's best known songs and albums, brought to life at the legendary Pulse Concert. You should do Comfortably Numb from the same show, it came right after this song you just heard and is quite the contrast with this acoustic based classic. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles are the cream of classic Rock and well worth exploring, you will be amazed at how great they were, they will be listening to this music centuries from now. Can't say that about much music in this century. In any event, enjoy, Floyd is a rush to hear the first time, I so envy you! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶
Iam a metalhead myself, always was, but Pink Floyd its the step beyond. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden are my holy trinity. Keep up digging on Pulse and also keep up the good work. Regards from Portugal!!!🇵🇹
If you are going with classic bands I will offer up Triumph. One of the most under appreciated and overlooked bands. Rik Emmett is immensely talented at both his singing and guitar playing. I would recommend starting with Magic Power the live performance from either the US festival or Halifax.
Una gran canción, bonita y llena de sentimiento, había tanto talento en ésa época, es increíble, la única comparación sería con la época de los compositores clásicos
GREAT reaction 👏👏👏 As comments have stated, there are MANY tracks to choose from Pink Floyd’s PULSE gig in 1994, but seeing as you mentioned it, you should really consider reacting to the studio track *TIME* from The Dark Side of the Moon It’s a life-affirming track that stays with you throughout your life and only improves as you age 👍
Nice reaction 👍🏻 You should definitely should check out Neverland (live '09) by Marillion 🙏 It's a awesome love song you'll love it for sure ❣️ ... At times like these Any fool can see Any fool can see Your love inside of me ... The 2nd half is a word play based on Peter Pan 🧚♂️ ... Wendy Darling in the kitchen with your dreams ...
Excellent reaction video. Good to see that younger people can recognize talent from an older generation. Can I suggest The Doors as another reaction worthy group?
If you get chance, Sorrow from pulse is great with Comfortably Numb. Round it out with Great Gig and then Run to shake things up. For another well known classic Pulse again, Another Brick N The Wall. Speaks to something all thinking ppl can relate to. Good Job.
You don't have an annoying intro, you didn't pause the video and you didn't talk over it so we could enjoy it with you. You're soft spoken and seem intelligent, very well done. I look forward to watching your next Pink Floyd reaction.
*Well said Bob. Spot on.*
That’s exactly what I was going to write 👏🏻
Thank you for this ❤️
I always doubt how simple my content is, but I like to “keep it simple” so it’s straight to the point and I can enjoy it along with everyone else watching me.
In 200 years from now , people will still be listening to Pink floyd, like we do Mozart
Us old folks love seeing young people like yourself discover the music of our youth.
Yes indeed my friend
I'm 74, who the hell are you calling old?...................LOL
@@aramcartozian6084 Well you have me by about 10 years, we may or may not be old, but my grandkids love it as well. Keep rocking. 😎

I was at the concert the night it was filmed and despite having heard the song hundreds of times it still brought me to tears.

@@IanDarley one of my favorites, but I don’t think she’s ready for that one yet lol.

Saw them on this tour in 1994. Had the entire stadium singing along to this song. Was so amazing.

Denver, 1994.
...My God...

great reaction, this whole concert was amazing, id recommend "COMFORTABLY NUMB", from the same
pulse concert, i guarantee it will blow your mind
In fact, it's a 1975 song. As some people say, Pink Floyd have sent more people to space than NASA! Enjoy the ride...
Being listening to this since 1975 , as a 15 year old, still listening today
Beautiful reaction and you have a new sub! Your voice is warm and I wish you the best❤
This was a very late Pink Floyd concert. We were being blown away by their music in the '60s and '70s.

David Gilmour is The Voice and Guitar of Pinkfloyd
the fact that you mentioned time makes it a must you listen to their song time
"Time" should be immediately followed by "Great Gig in the Sky" to complete it's circle of the story of life and death.

If you want the "most typical" Pink Floyd, I'd say AUDIO ONLY version of "Money" (the official video is a cut down radio / mtv version)
If you want the world's most emotional guitar solo ever recorded
Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" Pulse Concert
If you want the bands definitive turning point and "best" track
Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part 1 only) live at Pompeii 1972
If you want the deepest dive into the emotions surrounding Death you will ever hear
Pink Floyd "The Great Gig in the Sky" live Pulse Concert
If you want to hear the roots of Metal / Punk even before Black Sabbath
Pink Floyd "The Nile Song"
early 1969

Uma das maiores musicas do seculo, impossivel essa mulher nunca ter escutado!
Greetings from Miami! From the same Pulse collection, please check out COMFORTABLY NUMB, and also TIME.
Welcome!
I was the Miami stop on ths tour. I looked at the ticket the other day and it was $35 to see the show. That was the price of decent dinner back then.
I’ve got a Pink Floyd cover on my channel from Nightwish, but apart from that this is the first time and it’s been exciting so far 😝
love the look of admiration!!!!
Looking forward to watching your Pink Floyd journey
This song was originally written as advertisement song for Best Western hotels.
I was at this concert, it was a 21st birthday present to myself.
You should check out Dire Straits, Sultans of Swing live from the Alchemy concert.
First album release was in 1965 . . . . .
uh you mean 67 lol piper at the gates of dawn.
@@wout123100 yeah . . . meant to say that the band was formed in 1965 . . .
Regards from Portugal!!!🇵🇹
react toTHE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY by them LIVE
Keep up the good work!
If you are going with classic bands I will offer up Triumph. One of the most under appreciated and overlooked bands. Rik Emmett is immensely talented at both his singing and guitar playing. I would recommend starting with Magic Power the live performance from either the US festival or Halifax.
One of the best songs ever
Much as I love this performance, I recommend the original from the 1975 album of the same ('WYWH') name: one of my all-time, desert-island favourites
Do the live -The Great Gig In The Sky live Amazing
Una gran canción, bonita y llena de sentimiento, había tanto talento en ésa época, es increíble, la única comparación sería con la época de los compositores clásicos
Por cierto gracias por tu trabajo y espero que tengas suerte y vaya todo genial, saludos desde España
Very nice reaction ❤
Try The Humbling River by Puscifer. (I was finishing my BSc degree when Pink Floyd produced Wish you were here.)
React at......High Hopes Live Pulse, On The Turning Away live 1988...Epic songs
GREAT reaction 👏👏👏
As comments have stated, there are MANY tracks to choose from Pink Floyd’s PULSE gig in 1994, but seeing as you mentioned it, you should really consider reacting to the studio track *TIME* from The Dark Side of the Moon
It’s a life-affirming track that stays with you throughout your life and only improves as you age 👍
Nice reaction 👍🏻
You should definitely should check out Neverland (live '09) by Marillion 🙏
It's a awesome love song you'll love it for sure ❣️

Excellent reaction video. Good to see that younger people can recognize talent from an older generation. Can I suggest The Doors as another reaction worthy group?
There are much more gems for you to explore from the Pulse Concert and even more gems from PF's extensive catalogue..from Sol in Cape Town..
Welcome to the Pink Floyd experience..............although this concert was from 94, this song was from 1975 ... .
Yes I’m aware, I just had a sentimental moment with the year being my birth year aswell 😊
@@JuliettJess I just love the fact that so many young people are finding the music our generation grew up with.....Pink Floyd is absolutely timeless.
Great reaction
Hi , You have to look the old '70 Video 'Echoes ' they did in Pompeii
You might want to listen to Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. 1973 or Echoes Live in Pompeii 1972.
Epic is an understatement. 😊
If you get chance, Sorrow from pulse is great with Comfortably Numb. Round it out with Great Gig and then Run to shake things up. For another well known classic Pulse again, Another Brick N The Wall. Speaks to something all thinking ppl can relate to. Good Job.
Try to listen to "coming back to life" Very deep and melodic like this. It'll bring a tear to your eye
