Brake cleaner kills spiders fast! We have many black widows here in so Cal. I go out at night/very early morning when they're out. That's when I get em! Be safe!
Good call from Aaron the arachnologist. Australian Redback spider: Latrodectus hasselti and the southern black widow : Latrodectus mactans. Love your projects !!
Glad yall are taking your time on 57. I'm hoping start on my 2 door as soon as my health gets better and temperatures cool off. I put 2 inch drop spindles and 1 inch drop springs. I plan on upgrading to qa1s later on.
Watching you guys and Dennis Collins inspired me a little. I got a '65 ChevyII project car a few weeks ago. I don't make many UA-cam videos with me in them, but I think I may document the progress on this build. Keep the videos coming!"
I missed this episode when it came out because I lost my phone like a week ago! I found it today in my toolbox.🤬 I swear I looked in there like 25 times and didn't see it. Anyway I was so happy when I saw that y'all put out and episode that I forgot about being mad.😂 I've been waiting for y'all to get back to this! Slow and steady doesn't just win the race it also makes for a better finished product. I hope y'all are doing well. Love and hugs from Waco.❤
Yeah... I've been watching in order from the original "find" video... but the whole drive train has been done somewhere along the way that was missed it seems. I do find it difficult to follow as the title names have no consistency (hint-hint, like always 57 Rebuild FSG 11 or something). But you can watch ALL of the Playlist on UA-cam for the 57 Project so that should be all of them in order (but the drivetrain is missing still even in that thread).
I retired a year ago working second shift for over 30 years. what I enjoy doing with all my time is going to vintage car shows that the Chicagoland area has to offer. Back after nine minutes just got done researching the black widow spider.....big city guy ....I wouldn't want to be six feet closer to them
It was great being able meet you both in Iola. I don’t think I’d survive in Texas. The north gets hot enough for me. Keep up the hard work and great content.
Yaaaaaaaaa buddy!!! Love the new Lincoln set up Arron!!! If anyone can use this set up it’s you guys!!! Can’t wait to see what you can build with these new toys! 🤘🏼❤️🤘🏼
I'm not sure about the setup of the steering on a 57, but on my 72 Chevelle, the steering arms on the disc brakes are in the front. I almost made the mistake of installing them in the rear of the brakes. Luckily, I realized before I assembled them that the linkage needed to be forward. Love to see you two back at it. I'm kinda reliving my build as you go through the process. Good luck, and stay safe!
Y’all are the cutest couple. Emily you are so bubbly, outgoing, extroverted. And a little flighty. Aaron is so focused, somewhat serious, dry humored, and a little more grounded. At least from what I can see. So great to see you two back, and I’m loving this build, can’t wait to see more of this build. It seems to me that your little hiatus did you both well, you both seem to really enjoy making this video.
You rialise you are air conditioning the planet 🙂 All those holes in the doors and sides of the shop need to be sealed then it will cool better and cost much less
Love you both enjoy watching you I'm doing a 56 chevy belair and I love the new front suspension from summit I'll have tonlook into it for my hotrod keep up the good times
Hi, so my wife and I are embarking on doing a frame to body restoration on a '57 Convertible ourselves and this is the most useful video of the whole process I've found. It's easy and fun to watch, so ThankYou. I would say it would be nice if the parts/supplies you use were always listed in the summary (and I'm noticing that for this episode they are)... The only thing missing that we will need to be doing is we're going to have to replace both rear quarter panels, cutting and welding those in... so gonna have to go a different channel for that unfortunately (never weirded before, and I think your approach would be have been very helpful towards me doing it (mostly) right the first time... oh well :-). Thanks again and hopefully I can share photos/videos of our completed project once we're done. Joe in Wake County, NC
I flew up to Detroit for Woodward Dream Cruise, It was 104 when I got on the plane down here,,, it was 84 when I landed up there... I thought "Free Air Conditioning!!!" Everyone up there was saying "It's 84,,, We're Dying Out Here!"
Y'all made a really good start. Four wheel disc breaks make total sense. Hardly anything uses drums now. It's a safety issue. The one thing I think y'all overlooked is powder coating the frame. I get making content is motivation for all of the scraping n painting. But the final product would outlast all of us. The frame is basically down to bare so it wouldn't be a huge stretch to take it all the way down. The kit you got for the disc brakes is fine quality. I don't have to mention Wildwood or Baer. Ultimately, it's your car. Build it the easiest way you can utilize.
What's to not love about your wife being a car person and is capable of working in the garage right with you? Then too, having a husband who is humble enough to look for instructions makes life much easier. You two are unicorns, rare gems.
57 Chevy my favorite then 69 Z/28 Good to see the passion of the younger folks working on cars i grew up working on If we had today's technology back then... Blessings Love&Light
Thank you for the acknowledgement you 2 :) I have a long Texas heritage ;) dating back to the 1840-50's and beyond :) 💕 Like I said earlier, I enjoy what you to Lovebirds do together :) I wish I had that in my life, but sadly no. I did walk my Oldest kid down the path to marry her man last weekend. I'm one proud Dad 🥰 Keep going on that 57 build and many others :) Love ya'll
I am enjoying this project. This 57 will be comfortable to drive and get parts for. Obviously not original, but a great looking driver and a classic look.
Hey guys make sure to check the mounting tabs on the upper front bolts. Two sets that I have installed from different suppliers hit on the a frame front inside tube. Large sledge hammer fixed the problem.
I was wondering about that spring and the tension thanks for talking about u can get hurt if they fly out u had short travel to the floor which saved it flying kudos
Great progress. Always good to be moving forward on something. I've heard the whole compilation video at the end is a great idea. Hope that works well for you.
love what the two of you do !! i enjoy watching the progress on all of your projects! i noticed that the valve covers are on backwards on the big block. but other than that it is looking awesome !!
The 57 project is really awesome, made me laugh when I saw the Black Widow , when I lived in Las Vegas I was doing frame off on my 55 Chevy and during the disassembly I came across a Black Widow. Sent it to the after life.💯🆒
Great video guy's I think that the shorter videos would be the way to go that way we're right there with you watching it come together bit by bit. Great job on the front end installation. God bless you both and be safe. 🙏✌️☄️☄️R. BKTS
The black widow spider is the same as the Australian red back spider. The hour glass is in the back and not the belly. Be safe around them little critters. Good to see the project continuing.

Everything about this reminded me of your earlier episodes. I can't put my finger on it, but it was great to watch and learn with y'all.
I am really looking forward to this build. That is a very awesome welding rig that will serve you well for a long time.
congratulations on 300.000 subs I bet you never thought that would be possible on your first post standing inside the engine bay of roxy

Yep, and we are used to the smell. I do not like to use poisons if possible and the red can CRC is the weapon of choice.

Awesome guys been waiting for this build to continue
Doesn’t matter how you do this we’ll still watch it do it the way you want to

I like the idea of the segments for projects. It keeps it stirred up, and it's like a TV series.
