I have to say your last video about shipping helped me. I was clueless on how it worked and what type of boxes i needed, + the boxes are free, which helped a lot. Nice Job!
That's a great tip! Good idea :) Thanks for sharing! I kind of tend to not take chances by putting them in padded envelopes because knowing my luck, it'll break haha
I loved the video man great job! So if I'm understanding this correctly, someone pays for shipping as well as the seller needs to pay for the box/envelopes that the item needs to come in aside from the other fees?
Yep! So say if someone bought a game I was selling on ebay, the buyer pays for whatever shipping option the seller gave them in addition to what the price was. The seller then has to pay for shipping whether it's the option the buyer selected or one of the other shipping options ebay offers.
hi i really thank you and appreciate you for this video! im just wondering, for the switch, what is the size of that white box you used? what are the dimensions?
The box is USPS' Medium Flat Rate Box - 2 (side-loading). The outside dimensions are 14″ x 12″ x 3 1/2″ You can find all of the Priority Mail boxes and their info here: tinyurl.com/2pc6t37b
I need to ship a brand new 2ds xl i am about to sell on eBay. its in its original box. What priority usps box would you recommend I use?? It’s my first item I’ve selling on eBay & I’m clueless I’ve tried putting it in a Small Flat Rate Box wrapped in bubble wrap, but it fits too snug & im scared it will get crushed in shipping
hmmm do you know the exact dimensions of the box? I think the next size would be the priority mail regional rate box - a1 if you're getting it online or either medium flat rate box if you're picking it up at the post office
@@elmentado9231 I'd still go with the priority mail regional rate box - a1 or priority mail box - 4 from their online selection. Those are the the next 2 that are bigger, but not as crazy big. You'll definitely have a lot more room, but use can just fill it up with bubble wrap. It's always safer to put everything in a bigger box and not have it snug.
If the battery is installed in the console, you don't need a lithium warning label or anything. That's for extra batteries traveling outside of consoles.
What if you have to ship a console (My Switch) without the box it came in, I don't currently have it anymore due to environment issues. I don't want it to be damaged, you know?
I totally understand that, wouldn't want it to get damaged in transit. I guess if I was shipping one, I'd wrap it in a few layers of bubble wrap and put in a thin box (or tape hard cardboard pieces around it to make some kind of box). Then I'd put it in the priority box with air cushions on all four sides to make sure it was kind of stuck smack in the center and not touching the sides of the box. I hope this helps!
If the battery is installed in the console, you don't need a lithium warning label or anything. That's for extra batteries traveling outside of consoles. So you're all good to ship it.
@@InnominateKraken I’m in the process of trying to sell my 2ds. I’m just curious if “extra batteries traveling outside of consoles” would include the charger? So if I’m selling the console with the charger, does that charger count as a separate battery?
Hi there! You can if the battery is installed in the console. If it its, then you don't need a lithium warning label or anything. That's for extra batteries traveling outside of consoles.
You'd have to find a box that fits it (which can either be a regular box or a priority one). Also whether it's in its original box or not, you'd have to use a generous amount of packaging stuffers to protect it. Then you can either buy postage online and print a shipping label to drop it off at the post office or you can write the addresses on the box and go to the post office where they'll ring up the postage you'd owe.
"Priority Mail pieces bearing an Intelligent Mail package barcode (IMpb) or USPS retail tracking barcode are insured against loss, damage, or missing contents, up to a maximum of $50.00 or $100.00"...as per the website says. But there are supposedly other criteria that needs to be met. You may have to purchase the insurance depending on your package.

Thank you so much! Managed to find a switch in my area, so shipping it to my cousins to play acnh :) helps so much!
Nice! Hope they enjoy it, the switch is awesome! And glad to help :D
Padded envelop to ship whole PSP bundle, goes in together with bubble wrap. Cuts the shipping cost down to half compared to medium flat rate box.

For handheld game consoles that have rechargeable batteries. Do you have to mark the package as flammable?
