The Imperium is a stupidly long and big ship but its also a very bad designed. Instead of having to focused all turrets in the edges of its wedge shape design, clearly the imperium was built for broadside to broadside ship battle rather than forward facing battle. They should put more big turrets all over the dorsal and ventral hull of the shape in clusters big and small that could cover both forward and broadside arcs instead of only broadside facing arcs. Too bad like all other star war shape it really lack the total firepower of an actual dreadnought.
In lore, it's
260km long. It has two SSD's, six World Devestators, sixteen ISD's, thirty smaller capital ships, one million four hundred thousand TIE Defenders, sixteen million TIE starfighters, one million two hundred and eighty thousand TIE Bombers carrying capacity.

Fun fact: The Imperium has trouble berthing in most habitable planets... as it is typically larger than them.
Planets are much more larger.The Coruscant is more than 7,000 miles ,but imperium ultra star destroyer is only 160 miles.

You really don't want it in your fleet. It's so big that most people age a couple of years before reaching another part of the ship, and let's not forget the turning circle... or threat of Cargoian declaring ritualistic war on the Engineering department because they unleashed the singularity.

@@felps_4500 It's not bigger than the DSII. DSII is 900KM in diameter.
Seeing this thing go up against the mega class and starkiller base is super poignant and funny because this thing was literally made to make fun of things like the mega class and starkiller base, just making a bigger version of an existing thing to up the stakes without any talent of writing
Edit: just double-checked and it technically wasn't originally created to make fun of this sort of thing but it quickly became that

I wish the modders added ISD's to the Imperium class star destroyer's complement. It'll be pretty overpowered to fit 16 ISDs in one Ultra Capital Ship. same with the Supremacy ship.

I remember seeing the concept art for this like 8ish years ago. I also remember this thing being told to be 260 kilometers long.
But there is an even larger ship that i remember from another concept art, but that one I've seen only on Pictures. It was about twice the Size of the Imperium USD. It looked similar to the Imperium USD but with a beak, not quite like the eclipse but turned 180° around and being rounded to fit the design of the USD.
Found it. It's called the "ascendency class super star destroyer". If you google this shipname it should be the first thing to show up. There is even a description on it at deviantart.
Can it fit a Death Star?
@@Stirling96 The smaller one (imperium USD) is just 260 km in length, the other one (ascendency class ssd) approximately 500km. Death star one is 160 km in diameter DS2 is 900 in diameter. Judging by the shape of those ships they are not gonna fit a death star. (i would post a direct link to the images, but you know youtube these days...)
First thing i would do though, would be to integrate a death star level super laser into them as they would be most definitely large enough for that.
Maybe you could attach a death star to the superstructure on the bottom of the ship or rather the ship to the death star and have 'em act like a hyper drive ring for increased speed for the death star and increased power for the ships super lasers.
Imagine a death star with six of those attached flying towards the rebels, firing seven super lasers at once. Loosing seven of their largest ships at once, right when the battle starts would teach that rebel scum a lesson for sure.
Palps shouldn't have build the death star any ways. Having several eclipse like ships would probably have worked out much nicer than putting up a giant "shoot me" sign.

I think 'implacable' is a hard C , so it's im-plak-able, not im-place-able. great vid though, it's a beast of a ship.
Supremacy Hardpoints are overrepresnted. Everything about the Imperium is underrepresented. For example, the Imperium's docking bay can fit 2 eclipse class inside of it.

For me the Eclipse was a very good designed and a very thought out layout with the only problem is it doesn't have turrets on it's hull, if only they could just add clusters of various big and small turrets for anti-ship/anti-capital for offence and smaller clusters of point defense turrets for anti bomber and fighter system and place them all over the ventral and dorsal part of the hull with enough coverage for both broadside, forward, and rear firing arcs to eliminate blindspots around the ship because of its size and u got a 1 ship armada.
Its own designers.
Task the ultramarines to take or blowup the ship and I'd say they have a 90 percent success rate. Give or take if there divine plot armor holds true...
Supremacy forward facing weapons far outclassed and outgunned the imperium, even though the imperium is longer but its weapons are far away.
Serious note, a ship that huge, all those ships raining damage on the bow should have shredded the forward part of the ship, much like the way a block of cheese gets shredded in a shredder.

From what I know from the star wars legend wiki the ultra class super star destroyer is bigger than this and way more armed and is supposed to have a docking bay for the eclipse class star dreadnought and a bay for the executor class super star destroyer and a bay for regular imperial star destroyers

Regarding the super-duper better-than-yours one-upper ship designs: damn that's so unsexy und lazy. I find ssds so annoying when they fill entire maps.. they leave no wiggle room to use tactics and the environment. They are weak in the way that they can't use all their weapons at once because they're so slow to bring in place. The only way to use it is: place it in the middle of the enemies fleet. Fast forward. Win. So boring

It's outer space... All the Supremacy has to do is roll forward and not all of it's top gun are at the enemy that is now on top of it. IT is space three demential combat but the game does not use it.

The Imperium as it was original though, is 260 Km long. That is 13.6 times longer than the Executor Class Super Star Destroyers (at 19 Km), 89 times longer than the Resurgent Class Star Destroyers (at 2.916 Km), and 162 times longer than the Imperial Class star Destroyer (at1.6 Km). The issue comes when compared to the Death star I and II. Officially, the Death Star I is supposed to be about 140 - 160 Km in diameter while the Death star II is about 160 - 200 Km. This makes the Imperium longer than the diameter of both Death Stars if we follow the canon. Those numbers have been verified by many people using the scenes of the Falcon landing on the bay of the Death star I and also the Shuttle landing on the Death Star II and using pixels to measure the size of those bays/hangars and then using that to scale the equatorial trench of each Death Star and the final diameter. But if we use the Executor crashing on the surface of the Death Star II, then the actual diameter would be at least 900 Km. In terms of comparing dreadnought ships with the Death Stars, or at least the Death Star II, I like to think it was actually 900 Km in diameter making the Imperium still a small ship compared to the Death Star. But by all means, you think of the best size that fits in your imagination, after all, is just Sci Fi...or isn't it? 😉
