That wasn’t an April fools joke, he likes to announce mods or updates on April fools to make us second guess ourselves, he’s been talking about a galactic civil war mod for a while

I watched for 5 minutes before noticing everything was upside down
One component in why the power-generation should be at the top, is that the power can then flow downwards into the rest of the ship, and not have to fight against gravity. Moving on, the longness of SSDs would be a real problem. I applaud you Charlie, for taking the brave first step away from horizontal SSD ship design. Finally, imagine fighting a fleet cycling through the most garish neon colors. I'd just surrender and go home.

Idk about the color I like the Silver type look when I look at the Green ship at least for that model it doesn't fit right like the Red Victory II I felt it was a bit off but was cool in its own way I wouldn't say a New Republic ship would be green unless lead by someone who wants it green in lore but in game it doesn't make much sense.
Those flipped ship models look so cursed somehow! 😅

Sorry but the whole turn the SSD thing would not work. All the enemy would have to do is choose a side to attack. The front or back, then the battle would just be the same. Plus having the Engines, bridge, and reactor that close to the enemy might not be the best move.

I vehemently disagree with the "boring greyscale" comments. That's what star wars looked like. Trying to rainbow things up is one of the reasons the new daleks in doctor who felt like such cheap ripoffs.

OK, the fixes seem good, but seeing the SSD and the massive Mon Cal ships flying sideways, and the other upside-down ships, just looks freaking awful man. Sorry.
The makers honestly just need to scale those down; the game cannot actually handle ships that big. Yeah, we know, the SSD should be humongous. Maybe shrink the rest accordingly and make it so the game can actually, properly handle all mod-added ships.
And again, NOTHING In Star Wars makes a lick of sense. :D
Most of the Empire's ships, if not Star Wars overall, are designed to maximize forward firepower and allow for orbital bombardment.
TIE fighters perform in atmo just fine, despite no lifting surface, etc.
Not a knock on your work, just sayin' :D

@@jtcbrown So I am the Rhino Charlie mentions and it wasn't too much work, just rotating the models shown in blender, then creating a custom map for them
And it isn't on the steam workshop so the submod doesn't exist. Charlie and I just have local copies
