You sir are a very brave man! This is the stuff nightmares are made of.
I had to fix my windscreen wiper motor and a friend had to take off the right hand side of the dash to reach.
It is a left hand drive, so taking out the screws half way the dashboard was enough to bend it for some room to reach.
Just a missing circlips caused the wipers to skip intervals and stop the wipers mid screen.
Two and a half hours to find the factory caused problem, folks at Land Rovers Sollihull just did'nt give a shit.

Hi Stuart, glad you found it helpful. I removed my dash to fit two stages of insulation. I have a video on that project coming soon.

If you’ve not done it yet it might be worth upgrading the wiper wheel box so you don’t have to do it again in the future

I need to do this too Stuart. I can hear the wiper motor going, but the wiper linkage seems to be slipping. I'm planning to change the wiper gear boxes and spindles too as they're a little bit rusty, which may have caused the problem as they had got stuck a few times and required a bit of gentle force to get them going again.
Did you have to take the full dash out in the end, including the the gearbox coverings etc? Or were you able to change them by pulling the dash out a bit from the top only (if that's possible). It looks like a real pain of job!! Great video though....it's shown me what i'm potentially letting myself in for!...

@@Rilerboy Hi Barry, I didn't mess with the gearbox coverings , took the steering wheel off and all the dash but pulled it all forward as much as possible without messing with the gearstick coverings and that gave me enough room . I didn't bother changing the wiper park switch and now the wipers won't park at all without stopping the engine at the exact point that the wipers come down so I'm going to have to take it off again ! Nightmare , for the sake of changing a £13 switch whilst I had the dash off but it was parking okay at the time . Good luck mate .
