No other 'Christian' faith that I know of expresses the relationship we have with our Father in Heaven as does this song. Hearing the lyrics literally brings one closer to God if they allow their heart to do so. Inspired by the Holy Spirit.

so humbling and grateful that perfection comes when I have faith in the words of this song. I know I cannot be without His help, and the principles taught when I was in primary.
I have been member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for almost 35 years now and my membership in the church feels like yesterday I was just got baptized. Being a member, I learned that Christ main purpose why He died on that cross was to show us how Obedience He was to do his Father's will, not His will. Second, Love, He loves His Father so much that He was willing to die to help fulfill His Father's work ( Plan of Salvation ) which is to bring to pass immortality and eternal life of men. Third, Forgiveness, He died so our sins can be forgiven by His blood. Very powerful lessons. Obedience, Love and Forgiveness. I love to know that I Am a Child of God

I was in a tiny area where my companion and I were just not getting through to the people. A different language and a different culture. We turned to playing this song for the people we taught. 2:55 gets me every time. Listening to that chorus is what cemented my testimony that I am a Child of God.
i remember looking out the window and seeing my wee girl outside singing this song in her sweet high voice . It still brings tears to my eyes 45 years later . i love it.

When I close my eyes while listing to the Tabernacle Choir sing a Primary song, time goes 5 times slower. This felt like 30 minutes and it was a beautiful 30 minutes. I felt safe and God let me know He loves me.

+Kamal Shakoor My husband iss a convert. His family is Catholic. It took him 12years to tell his mom. Eventually you might have to make a hard decision. Not that I am pushing you. This is a very personal choice. My husband joined because he said he haad questions that his priest would not or could not answer. He has never regreted it though. So whatever your circumstances... keep praying for an answer. God bless sweetheart.
