Yeah! .357 sig 1911/2011 style gun!! I'll be ordering one ASAP! I can't tell you how genuinely excited i am about this. Now where are the other 14 people?
I hear the Tooless guide rod is coming soon. I hope they make a steel frame, Island Comp variant. They told me over email a while back that they were working on comps/ports but I really hope they go for the Island Comp style with a steel frame. Please stealth arms! You're so close to making the perfect pistol. Everyone online has given nothing but great reviews about how reliable it is and they seem to really listen to their customers. I have not seen a company push so many upgrades, so quickly, while still being able to keep amazing quality control. They are changing the game on how buying a gun works. Stealth Arms is killing it right now and I can't wait to see what they do next with the Platypus.
Honestly man, for what that’s going to cost you may as well buy an actual 2011. Island barrels are a super premium feature for a reason. The amount of hand fitting they require is *very* substantial. I also don’t know what you intend to use the thing for if you get an island comp. Unless losing in open is your hobby or something.
Awesome to see this! I emailed them yesterday asking about when the .45 ACP model would be available and they said it would be around the beginning of February. It’s not live on their website just yet as of today for everyone wondering. Good news nonetheless though!
Factory .357 Sig is a big deal for Australia, it's the only way we can shoot Major PF in Standard as .40 is restricted. Guns are either converted or custom built locally at significant expense
@jknewb6276 I'm sure they will give more details. Someone will ask!! I doubt it though. I'm not a pro as you know, but I think there are a few other changes. Recoil system, maybe the slide also?? I don't know, but I can't shoot as good as mine can so I don't think I "need" a bull barrel 🤣 Good to see ya man, have a great evening!
@@randyreviewsit I shoot way more than a box a year. 10mm isn't that expensive. Just wondering why they'd chamber it in a dying caliber over a resurging, popular caliber. Get over yourself bud
Be interesting to see if they'll be open to exporting those .357SIG gats, here in Aus thats all we can use for major PF outside of Open division (or Standard/Restricted Optics but who knows whats going on with those rules).
So so dang cool. I wish I could afford one but by the time I put all the features on it I want it’s 1700 to 2000 and I just can’t do that being retired on a fixed income if I thought I could shoot it for a little while then sell it and get most of my money back I would but it’s hard to sell Guns in that price range.
When these updates are available on the website I’m going to order one asap. I’ve been waiting on a different grip texture and Bull barrel. I was waiting for the SRO /rmr cut too but that’s been out for a little while. Should I hold out for a steel frame variant? Haha
The people wanting 357sig are local LE that want to use their dept ammo in their personal carry guns. It's why 40 and 45 persist in atypical platforms.
Damn... I said I'd get another when they got the bull barrel and new grip texture. I also want a Tisas double stack. I need to go sell some body parts...
Ever since these video posted, I’ve been going every day to their website and they still have the old configurator. There’s no new grip there’s no new barrel there’s no new caliber there all stuff. Do you know when are they going to come up with the updates?

They currently only make the 2 piece guide rod, but the customer service rep said the plan is to make a one piece tool-less one eventually that works in the existing platform so you can just buy it from their store and drop it in. For now, they recommend the Dawson Precision or Atlas tool-less guide rods.
I love stealth arms.. They are the PSA of the 2011 manufactures. They are making the other expensive companies look like rapists! Building guns a regular guy can buy and they make them imo just as good if not better than the others!

"The grip texture is so aggressive it will hurt people's feelings." 😂
YES! Bull barrel and more aggressive grip texture were the only things really holding me back. So stoked.
Did you get it?
need a 10mm and steel frame option. good to see they fixed my 3 main complaints about em though. the bull barrel, rmr cut and crappy grip texture
Yeah! .357 sig 1911/2011 style gun!! I'll be ordering one ASAP! I can't tell you how genuinely excited i am about this. Now where are the other 14 people?
I love my 229 in 357 sig but it’s too expensive and too hard to find.
@@jagpilotohionot if you roll your own. Barely more expensive than loading 9mm
i resemble that remark
Totally into that. Especially if the slides of the .45ACP, 357Sig and 9mm can be swapped.
I have to see who imports them to central europe.
Here!
New calibers Not on the web site as of yet 2-27-24. Says coming soon.

I would instantly buy a island comped, steel frame, bull barrel platapus. Stacatto xc at home that takes glock mags!
I emailed them about the same thing. Hopefully they’re listening.
the comps will probably come in 2025. guess we wait another year for the ultimate platypus.
My fuckin guide rod keeps walking out slowly over range sessions. Pisses my off its a 2 piece
guide rod so much.
A Stealth Arms Platypus in .45ACP that takes Glock 21 mags is something up my alley.
Where is it.... not even available yet... 😢
I like .357 Sig. It is a 9mm on steroids. I have a Commander i built, and a P80 full size both in .357 Sig.
Both excellent shooters.
The day they offer an integrated comp, im ordering
Same bro.
I like the 45acp. I like the RMR cut and barrel. Looks great.
We need a 10mm version
That's a yes.
That’s a facts
I just went to start building my .45. Not quite on the site yet but I’ll keep looking.
I want a commander length one with a pit viper style comp block with the Butler cut and everything 👍🏻😎👍🏻 the mini Wick stick

@@Dunk1It1Hard Didn’t ask that but I imagine that will be an option with all of the customization they offer.
Oh finally. Been waiting for that.

Double stack 1911 in .357 sig. I’ll have to get it just for the sake it doesn’t exist anywhere else
Interesting. I don't shop that caliber. Smart niche move by them
One of the few rounds available after an ammo run. I took notes after the last ammo apocalypses.
@@joshuasterling2144 it’s such a cool caliber and to have it in a cool gun 👌
Been tracking the rumors on the reddit forum. Excited for the updates!! Happy with mine. Awesome!!!
Maybe the Bull barrel can drop in! Lol wait I didn't think that through....

I love my earlyish version but nice to see the new grip texture and bull barrel. Nice upgrades!
Just for going all in on the mascot, I want one.
Not available on the website yet... but excited to see this.
I love this!! I want the 357 sig so bad!!
Yeeeeeeeesss it’s getting even better
Hell yeah. Was waiting on the pull. This will be my next purchase
Nice! 👊🏼
Kinda wish I’d waited until now but I’m still happy with mine
I'll take the 45 acp version
Hoping they do this in a steel frame piece, Commander size
Where's the 10mm version? Why would you put out a 357 Sig before 10 mili?
You 10mm people are completely insufferable, you shoot 1 box of 10mm a year and demand that every handgun is made in 10mm
Case length. Would’ve required a substantial redesign of the entire gun.
@@randyreviewsitmaybe cause there's 10 times more people who has 10 mill than .357 sig
@@randyreviewsitSeriously, 10mm is stupid.

Thank you! 45acp platypus finally
I want a steel frame version
Dave’s kids were texting him, “Daaad!! Bring him home!! We want him as a pet!!” 😂
Amazing info and updates glad for them!
YES!!!!
I've been wanting to order a Platypus but haven't because I want a bull barrel.. SIGN ME UP SA!! Lol
Oh hell man I totally saw you during this 😂 these guys are great. Getting one 100%
they had a great sense of humor.
.357SIG?! This has to be the only pistol on the show floor chambered in that round, lol. Didn’t think I hear this in 2024 👍
I was about to order mine. Good thing I saw this so I knew to call in to get those options!
Might have to save up and get one with some WILD colors!
I hope they come out with a compact grip configuration. I’d like the ability to use both 15 and and 17 round mags
So excited about the 45! I actually asked them a month ago. Time to start talking to my wife.😂
The first 10 seconds set the tone. Love your channel!😂
Glad I held off buying one.
I dont see the .45acp option. Which mags do they use? Glock 21?
Tbf I don’t think they ever released it. It’s been 7 months and there’s nothing to show of it being added soon.
357 Sig? Wow. I have a 229 in it but it’s difficult to find and too expensive.
No 10mm? Thanks for keeping us informed!
10 MM Please!
Helllll yeahh !❤
Are they improving the finish at all to nitrate or DLC ?
No .40? Was hoping to have a limited major gun in there
A double stacked 45?
Yeah, the question is which magazine does it use? Glock 21 mags are extra girthy.
Be interesting to see if they'll be open to exporting those .357SIG gats, here in Aus thats all we can use for major PF outside of Open division (or Standard/Restricted Optics but who knows whats going on with those rules).
Now they just need a comped version and I'll need to change my underoos
Still waiting on my 1st one to show up. Guess I'll be ordering another with the new panels.
Will be making this my next purchase for sure.
😎DAT 45 THO
When will it be available and at what cost 💲 🙏
Nice!!!!
Im in, waited for the bull barrel.
Terry the Platypus
that makes sense.
How big is the 45's grip compared to the 9mm? And I'm assuming it's G21 mags?
10mm or Bust!
Is the grip diameter larger on the .45 model? How many rounds does it hold?
So so dang cool. steel frame, bull barrel, monsoon tactical style barrel. slide comp, gription..
im all in, just wait for the website to offer these. :?D
I NEED ONE SO BAD.

It's why 40 and 45 persist in atypical platforms.
well that and the new Liberty CIVIL DEFENSE ammo that pushes a .45ACP 80ishGR round up to 1900 FPS.. umg gtfo
Sweeeeeeeeeet. A .45 caliber...
Where is the option on the website for 45 acp and the new grips?
Damn... I said I'd get another when they got the bull barrel and new grip texture. I also want a Tisas double stack. I need to go sell some body parts...
I’m hoping for from my serrations on the trident version 😢
Ah .45ACP
Finally, a *TRUE* 2011
Do they make a compact g19 frame size one for carry?
Please make a steel frame version!!
What about 10mm?
When is the bull barrell and more agressive grip will be available?
Would love 357sig and 40s&w combo!
Will they offer coatings other than cerakote? Ive never had a good experience with it.
I disagree. The Platypus mascot is THE MOST important thing at the booth.

Give us grip panels. Everyone will be able to modify the texture and shape to suite their hands best

10mm Auto?????
When will bull barrel be available?
Why not .38 supercomp?
It’s 14 thanks. Steve died in November.
Went on their website and it just says "New Calibers coming soon!" It's nearly July, what gives?
They have so many orders they don’t want to increase backlog with stuff that requires programming changes
Better, but not good. Where's the 10mm version?
My feelings are hurt they made a 357sig but not a centimeter.
357 Sig?!?!?! Holy crap take my money.
👍
I really wish they offered a steel frame
How long before the bull barrel will be available on website?
3 weeks
Need to remind people they take the Glock mags
Msrp on the fde .45?
Man. I guess I need to see to price when it rolls out to see which 9mm 1911 I get this year.
