Love the revolver for edc. If not in high populace places areas where there’s a chance for multiple assailants etc, I carry a revolver. Hunting, camping, hiking, carry a revolver. Simple, rugged, reliable.
Well-done. Liked! After 40+ years of long-stroke double-action revolving-around, arthritis in my index fingers caused me to suspend my almost-daily dry-fire routine. The other aspects of the DA revolver manual-of-arms remain hard-wired, but, as Clint Smith said at 0:49 to 00:59, this is my time to largely shift to auto-loaders, in the duty/service-sized size envelope, and give my K-Frames and GP100s a rest. Thankfully, the differing ergonomics and geometry of my smaller-frame SP101 and J-snub revolvers do not vex my index fingers’ joints nearly as much, keeping the little five shooters relevant, at least for now. Not that all autos are good for aging hands. In my case, most, if not all compact nines are pain machines. Fortunately, I learned to “dress around” an S&W N-Frame Model 58, .41 Magnum, when it was my duty revolver, 1985 to 1990, so, today, concealing an “orthopedic” Glock G17, one of the duty pistols in the twilight of my LE career, is not such a challenge.

Happy Birthday, Clint!🎉🎂
Revolvers definitely have their place amd it's just my personal opinion, but that's all we really need for personal defense. Sure the autoloaders are cool and i have several, but 5 or 6 shots of 357 magnum is hard to beat. Plus, revolvers are just cool.
Absolutely love how straight forward and blunt Clint is . No pussy footing around . Get the right shit so you don’t die !!!
Great video, even the second time! Thanks!
I’ve never heard of Clint Smith, but I like him
Happy birthday to the Greatest alive!
Love the revolver for edc. If not in high populace places areas where there’s a chance for multiple assailants etc, I carry a revolver. Hunting, camping, hiking, carry a revolver. Simple, rugged, reliable.
Birthday Blessings to you!!
Happy Birthday Clint Smith !
Excellent advice, I carry a 686-5, no complaints
Clints a national treasure
To you
@@Rubeless Well he has a lot of knowledge that younger folks could learn from.
My very first gun I purchased was a s & w 696. My buddy’s grandpa had the trigger worked on too.
More concerned about reliability than ammo capacity 👍 great presentation.
Happy Birthday big guy!
Well-done.
M19 1983, 4 " RSO had a 3" DOS issue. origional hydra shoks. only problem is the forcing cone crack with lots of 357 mag. +p no problems. in the safe now carried it a long time. S&W had some major QC problems years ago, even with the CS M19 comp. Mine is great and love it.

Love a wheel gun!
The only way to practice and train with a wheel gun is DAO. Period. Train like you fight!
Right on! I carry a 3” sp101
Most national treasures should be defended....
but all hell in a hand basket, Clint Smith can defend himself!!!
Love this! All that shiny stuff on the end... I blew that off! XD
This is important info for when EMPs take out our Semi Autos!
😂 j/k I love revolvers too.
Legitimate question: how would an emp affect semi auto?
@@je862 Not sure if serious.... 😑
@@EuroS50 It was a serious question, but I get it now. The reason I did not understand how it could affect said weapons, is because I don't have any electronics on my weapons, so emp would not affect mine.
But yes, certainly, those things would be disabled.
Wheel guns.. there's a reason why they're still carried, on socom teams. Reliable, man stoppers, thanks Massad..
Amen bro
While wheel guns are well suited for game due to them having the capability to fire large caliber straight wall magnum rounds. They are no longer carried into battle by anyone in socom and are only used as blank firing guns to train k9 dogs by the DOD.
The tourniquet comment was sound advice. I have two in the car first aid kit and one in a pouch that goes with my wood cutting gear. Keep it where you'll need it and make sure you've practised applying one correctly.
