What a magnificent resting place! I too have been a huge fan of Rod Stewart, probably since Maggie May but since then have looked back over his earlier success with The Faces and his music pre-70's. I've seen him in concert once in Adelaide. His biography was a brilliant read, from the first page it was as if he was sitting with you telling you his story, I couldn't put it down. He really can lend his voice to many different genres but for me his 70/80's storytelling songs hold the best memories for me, there's not one bad track on his many albums. Long may he continue to entertain. If I had to pick one track that takes me back to great times it's You Wear it Well
I found it by total accident. Joy, I couldn't believe it. One of the staff told me when I was walking around Highgate. Glad you enjoyed it. You never know. Maybe rod seen it 😉
Thank you Alan. Big fan of Rod! Sailing is one of my favourite song of all time. Sad to hear the passing of the eldest brother Don and then bob in 2022.
Love your videos, thanks for sharing. Cant beat a bit of Rod. Frequents a couple of pubs in Paisley when Celtic are playing. The Wee Howff & The Wee Barrel. ❤
The First Cut is the Deepest - always selected that one on the juke box....but also love his Great American Songbook albums. That gravelly voice singing those cool sophisticated songs. Swoon. I wonder if Rod's parents were musical in some way 🤔 ... isn't it nice to hear that he actually loved his childhood Thanks Alan
I was his fan too when I was a teenage girl. I used to sing '' Baby Jane'' all the time..😊 Thank you for your work and I'm so glad you don't read from Wikipedia, word by word, like some other ''UA-camrs'' do.....
When my brother and I stayed down our grans every Saturday night and Sunday morning, we went and put flowers on granddad's grave, my mom doesn't visit their graves when gran died, or my dad's when he died in 1974,it seems no one tends graves anymore, it does saddens me, it was always Sunday, you even had flower sellers outside the cemetery, no longer I know life moves on but still it saddens me
By Celebrity standards this is great. Just seen Tommy Cooper's totally neglected grave though he has a 69-year-old daughter and I have noticed the same neglect over and over again, even gravestone from 5 years ago let alone, nearly, 40 years like Tommy Cooper.
Well done Alan a fantastic video and what a lovely grave stone his parents have and it looks as if he really loved his parents and they supported there son through and through Lovely video Alan Take care
Very Nice visiting Mr and Mrs Stewarts grave.Have you ever visited the Graves of Julia and Fred Lennon, near Liverpool. With yesterday Dec 8th,being 43 years since John Lennons assassination. Thanks for the Great videos,Alan.Take Care.
Great one Alan, as usual. Rod is certainly unique and very talented. He come across as such a genuinely nice guy and a credit to his late parents. They must have been lovely people to to have raised such a superstar. Beautiful grave. Enjoy Greece (lucky man!!) and look forward to more content. Thanks Alan. Best wishes.
Hi Louise from what I can see there with a very down to earth family with close bonds and in Rods own words is childhood was full of fun. Maybe they weren't really rich but they were rich with the main thing love. Anyway, he's made with it since he's got a few Bob now 😆
Rod Stewart rang me up once and asked me what my favourite song of his was? I said, “I don’t want to talk about it.” He then hung up on me? 🤔😳😂🤣❤️ Great find Alan. Keep up the good work ❤
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep haha fantastic reply! Hey hope you have a great new year look forward to watching more of your fab videos. Keep up the good work pal. All the best xx❤️💥🍺🍻🇬🇧🎂
I couldn't stand his voice. As a teenager, my friend constantly playing every picture tells a story. I used to think, the guy is straining! But and it's a big but, over the years he literally grew on me and now I love his voice. He has an amazing wife in Penny. Penny adores him and the money is secondary and just a bonus for her, imo. Don't always comment but I definitely 👍
Great Rod Stewart what a lovley thing respect is mum and dad
Rod Stewart is fantastic I love all his records. But there is one I am addicted to (SAILING) Lovely lovely lovely record absolutely lovely.

Hi User I didn't know the details as well as you. I just know the brothers were older so thank you for that information. Regards, Alan
Sailing is definitely the most Incredibly huge record that was ever made. And it should be played more often on the radio.
What a beautiful memorial resting place for his parents
Thank you for visiting it

Hello Elaine isn't it strange you change your opinion. I always liked him from the beginning.
If rod gets buried there will be a lump sticking up out the ground which will indicate where his nose is
