A great gift - to bring laughter into a person's life, I really do believe comedians earn a special place in the next life. Les's humour was not sniggering at someone, or dirty, just good old happy laughter. God rest his soul - especial thanks for this visit!

Y'know Alan, I only found you a few weeks ago, and liked you from the first video, subscribing straight away and clicking the bell, because I didn't want to miss any future videos. Since then I've popped along now and again, and chosen an older video or two to catch up and just spend a while with you, learning as I went along - and I'm still doing that now.
I've commented now and again, but never said this before so am taking this opportunity to say it now.... Thank you, my lovely 'friend' on You Tube. You have brought me many sad and happy moments, as I've shared time with you, and you've taught me about some things I never knew about some folks which I'd loved and we've all lost along the way.
I appreciate every single video - and all the extra information you bring with them. You're a source of unending tidbits, and also joy. You make me smile and I know you make others smile too.
Thank you for everything you do, have done and continue to do. You're video's are a source of gentle, kindly joy, taking not just me but everyone who views them, back in time and reminding us of those people who we hold in a corner of our hearts, and for this I thank you so very much.
God Bless you Alan, please stay safe.
Sending much joy and love to you and wishing you everything you wish yourself. ~ Cobs.

Les Dawson was so funny. I can remember in the 70s the old ladies in Derby would talk like Ida, just moving their mouths and lip-reading. Again I worked on the Les Dawson show at my time at the Beeb in the early 80’s . To be honest when I was young I was never a fan really not sure why but when I worked on the Les Dawson show you couldn’t have net a nicer man he was absolutely a real gentleman. Not at all demanding and utter professional. A real treat and honour to meet him . Now I love him and often watch him.
If I don’t really have a memory of the artist I will only put a brief message because I know you are busy and it takes your time to answer these messages .
I think you mentioned Diana Dors. She is buried at the Sunningdale catholic cemetery I believe with Alan Lake. Again I met her wonderful woman and Alan he was fantastic. Charles Hawtry ashes are scattered at the mortlake cream near Richmond west london.

I filmed quite a few and I've kept them. Don't want to flood the market because people get bored with me. Will release them spaced out 😉 I basically spent 12 weeks and I just got back home so that will see me through to the beginning of next year when I'll set up again.. .... As always, the big thank you. Great to hear about Les. Nice day with such a lovely guy. He came over that way 😁 He is one of my favourite comedians. A very 'close and loving friend' of mine was a contestant on 'Blankety Blank' mid 1980s, hosted by Dawson. During the meet-and-greet on-screen scenario, Dawson kissed my Dear Friend and quickly slipped his tongue in and out of her mouth, smirking afterwards. Another conquest?
