Since this story is set in 2018, I hope they will make references to the Salamander maybe in series 11.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, it didn't happen...
@@MondySpartan If Moff was in charge than maybe. Chib apparently could care less about classic who references unfortunately.
@@CaptainPhrisbee Are you joking ?
@@CaptainPhrisbee no he makes plenty of references. Just the terrible ones.
They did not.
0:13 the only time the the Doctor has asked "why should I interfere?"
didn't you watch Origin of the Daleks?
He also refused to help in an amputation in the "Seeds of Doom"
those who haven't seen the episode would be very confused about the name of this video
They should bring back the character. We're in the Salamander time period now.
+Matthew Atkins How would they bring him back when he died?
Time travel. He hasn't died yet.
I don't think they should bring him back as a character, but he should be mentioned.
The master and Davros get killed at the end of each episode and yet come back again later.
What Matthew is trying to say is that this story is set in 2018, meaning that (if they decide to muck around this this sort of thing) 2018 Who might mention this serial.
Islamic NERD Islamic Videos simple get the guy who played the patrick troughton aka 2nd doctor in the documentary An adventure In time and space: Reece Shearsmith as him idk. If you have seen the series 10 finale. Maybe that will explain why i said that. (No spoilers to those who havent seen it)
"eh it's nozzo good boys is nozzo good"
Love his performance in this
As a Canadian I thought the same thing.. it was an unusual choice of countries to pick but kinda cool that they didn't go for one of the obvious ones.. USA, UK or Russia.. I think Troughton tried his best to do a Mexican accent but obviously failed, although he did get the Mexican vibe right I think. Troughton's Doctor did try to be more 'global' with it's stories.. Canada was featured in 'The Ice Warriors' (yea!) and of course "Enemy" featured Mexico as the a central theme (his character).
I am Mexican and fan of Doctor Who and I am so excited about this found spisodes , thanks!
Ramon Salamander, the character, is a mexican from Yucatán. Though even when Patrick Troughton is playing him (not the Doctor struggling to impersonate him), his accent comes off as rather weird.
Looking at Doctor Who, I'm interested if Salamander would be a good candidate for a return. On his Earth he was known as a great man as he cured hunger issues with weather control with only a few knowing the truth.
Given the recent worship of men like Musk and others, it could make an interesting episode
Him returning would be good, unfortunately he will not be the same Salamander that we saw during the entire story since he spent dwindling in the time vortex for too long might have remove his human features. Still, it would be interesting if 15th would finish what the 2nd Doctor should have done a very, very, very long time ago.
Why is it that Patrick troughton reminds me of Steve carell for some reason
I wonder what this would've looked like when it was still missing. Probably very still with the usual text at the bottom.
did i just seriously hear jamie say "the bastard saved our lives" at 0:34?
He says " but Astrix saved..".
He said Astrid saved our lives.
not how 2018 turned out
Nah it turned out much much much worse
@@walterzamalis4846 Couldn't have been any worse than 2020 onwards.
That's because this is Patrick Troughton playing the Doctor, not Patrick Troughton playing Salamander. When he's playing Salamander, he's got a Mexican accent. Check the ending of the trailer for this episode.
"Which side is good? Which side is bad?" Somebody's got a date with a bacon sandwich.
Yep.
This story could be set in an alternate universe
but...its not, tho this is why its good the show has no canon
What is Jamie saying between 0:34 and 0:38? I can't quite make it out.
Ben Foster "Astrid saved our lives and was wounded because of it."
Did Patrick play salamander and the doctor
Yep. Did a bang-up job, too.
yea, but he was trying.. try a Canadian accent.. you'll end up doing American
proving the show has no canon
...That's not a mexican accent.
I read that this was Troughton's go-to accent for non-English characters.
Check my other comment on this video. Or go watch the trailer, it ought to be over on the right...
